After serving as the head coach of the Austin College baseball team in an interim capacity during the 2022 season, Shawn Counts has been tabbed to continue leading the program into the future as the full-time head coach, Director of Athletics David Norman has announced.
Trinity (Texas), which and brought home the league’s first-ever national championship in the sport in 2016, was recognized with a league-high 12 honorees among the 32 impressive student-athletes selected to the SCAC’s 30th Anniversary baseball team
It was a light weekend of baseball but after 200+ days with the teams off the field, it was a welcome sight. Piedmont opened with an impressive victory, Louisiana College took 3 of 4 from Alma and Austin split with Ozarks in the opening weekend action.
