Westfield State athletics has named Seth Kaplan as the next head baseball coach. The head coach at Lesley University since the fall of 2019, Kaplan emerged from an extensive search process.
In the first round of the NCBWA player, pitcher and rookie awards, they are awarded for their performance for the month of February. Jack Thomson, Lewis and Clark, Sayers Collins, East Texas Baptist and Andrew Gryniewicz, Lesley earned honors on Wednesday March 2nd.
Cabrini set a high water mark in runs on Thursday in a win over Marywood. In Minnesota, Northwestern scored 29 runs also setting a season high 19 runs in game two. Elsewhere it was Elms and Lesley splitting their season opening doubleheader.
After an extensive nationwide search, Clark officials announced the hiring of Billy Cather as the next head coach of the baseball program. Cather becomes the eighth coach in program history.
The Lynx improve their winning streak with the program's first ever no-hitter. In game one of the double header versus the Pine Manor Gators, Pablo Casas pitched a complete game and led the Lynx to a 15-0 victory. The Lynx rallied to take game two, 4-3.

The Lesley University baseball team took the season series from Becker College for the second time in program history with a 5-4 victory in the rubber game, Sunday afternoon.
Junior right-hander Tom Muratore (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) tied his single-season best, earning his sixth victory of the season as the Lynx completed the season sweep of Daniel Webster College with a 12-2 win Thursday afternoon. Muratore improved to 6-3 after allowing just two runs on four hits while striking out five Eagles.
HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Lesley University found themselves on the losing end of the rubber match of a three-game set with Newbury College in New England Collegiate Conference action tonight at Trinity Stadium in Haverhill, Mass. The Nighthawks improve to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in NECC play with the win while the Lynx fall to 4-8 on the year and 1-2 in the conference.

Lesley announced that Billy Cather will be the new head coach for the Lynx. Cather will replace Mike Rocco who served as the head coach for the last three years.
