Oglethorpe completed a three-game sweep over the visiting Curry Colonels at Anderson Field, defeating them 10-1 on Sunday. Sophomore Kyle Mitchell had a shutout through 8.2 innings, finishing with a complete-game four-hitter.

Hampden-Sydney swept the competition in the Floyd B. Wilcox Memorial Tournament, capping off the three day event with a 9-6 win over Wesley. All nine Tiger batters recorded at least one hit. In other tournament games, sophomore first baseman Charles Savite went 4-for-5 with five RBIs to lead Moravian to an 8-5 victory over No. 17 Keystone.

Sophomore Sal Taormina recorded three doubles as the third ranked Kean Cougars earned a split with Gwynedd Mercy, falling in game one, 5-3 and winning in the nightcap, 5-4.

Emory led Methodist from the top of the first inning through the top of the eighth, but the Monarchs sent 13 batters to the plate in an eight-run bottom of the eighth to deal the Eagles a 12-9 setback.

On the second day of the 2014 season for the Eagles, Juniata upset the No. 24 team in the country on the road at Bridgewater (Va.). Juniata earned its first win of the season in a dramatic top-of-the-ninth-come-from-behind performance to take game one 8-7 before falling just short of a second comeback and dropping game two 4-3.

Piedmont, coming off a win on Friday over No. 12 Milsaps, stayed perfect in Birmingham with a 2-0 win over host Birmingham-Southern. Piedmont hurler Chris Goershel threw a perfect game until the bottom of the fifth before the Panthers got one of their two hits on the day.

Ian Buckles threw seven solid one-run innings and Danny Clifford led a 15-hit attack with three hits, including a double and a grand slam home run, as the George Fox Bruins blistered the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 12-1 in non-conference action at Alumni Field.

Rhodes completed the sweep of Washington (Mo.) in St. Louis in a doubleheader, 2-1 and 6-3. Blake Glauben was on the mound for the Lynx in the first game, pitching eight innings. Glauben gave up only four hits to one run while striking out six batters.

Powered by a pair of strong pitching performances, Christopher Newport got back in the win column with a doubleheader sweep over Rutgers-Newark. The Captains won the first game, 5-0, and backed it up with a 9-2 victory in game two, improving to 3-4 on the season. Senior Bryan Bierlein led the way in game one, throwing his first career solo shutout, scatting seven hits over seven innings of work.

The Logger offense was firing on all cylinders Sunday as Puget Sound scored eight runs on a season-high 12 hits in an 8-4 win over Saint Martin’s in their final game of the CCC-NWC Challenge at Porter Park in Portland, Ore.

Junior Nate Meiners went 3 for 3 with one run and one RBI as Randolph-Macon dropped the first game of a doubleheader against Rowan 6-4 at Hugh Stephens Field at Estes Park. Rowan completed the sweep with a 7-1 win.

Junior Brandon McClain pitched six innings of three-hit shutout ball as 10th-ranked Cortland defeated 13th-ranked Salsibury, 4-1, to earn a weekend series split with the Sea Gulls. Cortland's defense turned four double plays, including a game-ending 6-4-3 twin killing with the potential tying run at the plate. Cortland recorded four double plays for the first time since 2005.

Senior Zac Patrick threw his first career complete game as Lynchburg defeated York (Pa.), 8-1, at Liberty Baseball Stadium. Patrick finished off his first career complete game with a career-high seven strikeouts, allowing one unearned run on four hits while surrendering four walks.

Pacific (Ore.) pitcher Kyle Treadway pitched eight strong innings and drove in the winning run on a fielder's choice to lead the Boxers to a 2-1 road win over Texas Lutheran. Treadway struck out seven and worked around two walks and five hits. Topher Mood notched the save with a one-hit ninth.
