Three Bates relievers combined to pitch five scoreless innings, and the Bobcats plated four runs in the top of the seventh as Bates beat Old Westbury, 7-2, at Gregg Alfrano Field on Sunday. The Bobcats swept the three-game series with the Panthers after picking up wins of 3-2 and 14-9 yesterday.

Emory closed out the 2014 UAA Championships with a 4-1 win over Brandeis in Sanford, Florida to clinch a share of the conference title, the 12th in the program's history. The win put the Eagles at 6-2 at the UAA Tournament, tying the team for first place with Case Western Reserve, which earned a share of the conference championship. It was the third UAA Championship in the last four years for Emory.

Gabriel Pena went a combined four-for-eight with a two-run home run to centerfield as CCYN split their doubleheader with Stevens, losing game one, 8-4, before coming back to win game two, 7-5. Having gone 2-10 in the conference last year, CCNY has already eclipsed their 2013 win total, and stood second in the CUNYAC standings.

Walker Otis came up with another big hitting performance and Kyle Treadway was masterful on the mound as Pacific concluded their three-game series with Lewis & Clark with a 12-2 win over the Pioneers in NWC action at Chuck Bafaro Stadium. Olis went 4-for-5 in the game and three RBIs, including a two-run double that capped the Boxers' five-run fourth inning.  Treadway, meanwhile, threw eight strong innings as he allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits with six strikeouts.

Eddie Nogay collected his 24th career pitching victory in game one and No. 25 Washington & Jefferson rallied with three runs in the seventh inning of game two to sweep a doubleheader at Pat Thomas Stadium from St. Norbert in the first two of eight games the Presidents will play in Florida during spring break. The Presidents captured game one by a 12-4 margin and then edged the Green Nights 5-4 in the second contest.

Manhattanville provided plenty of power at the plate against King's (Pa.), as the Valiants defeated the Monarchs twice in their Freedom Conference opener by the final scores of 10-3 and 12-10 at Baseball Heaven. Senior Alex Basso threw his second consecutive complete game in game one while the Valiant hitters exploded for 22 combined runs in the doubleheader.

Wesley used a four-run seventh inning and a two-run single by Joe Hummel to defeat No. 7 Salisbury 9-5 in CAC action. Trevor Mears reached base all five times he appeared at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, a double and getting plunked twice for the Wolverines.

Anderson split a doubleheader against No. 5 UW-Stevens Point, losing the first game 9-0 but winning the second 7-3 in Lakeland, Fla. In the first game, the Ravens were held to three hits by the Pointers' Max Frederick. In the second game, Cole Heberling led the offense with two hits and three RBI, including the game-winning home run in the fifth inning.

Brandon Chinn’s sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning scored Shae Harrison with an unearned run, giving Willamette a 3-2 win over George Fox and a sweep of their three-game NWC series at John Lewis Field. There were plenty of runs scored in the first two games of the series but this contest turned into a pitchers’ duel between right-handers Tom Zarosinksi and Peter Hoffman. George Fox's Zarosinski threw seven shutout innings and 7.2 innings in all, surrendering two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts, three walks, and three runners picked off.Bearcat pitcher  Hoffman went eight frames, allowing six hits and a run with five strikeouts and no walks.

A seven-run fourth inning was all Central needed to win its fifth consecutive game, a 10-2 victory over Augsburg at the Kino Sports Complex. The Dutch continued to tear the cover off the ball at the plate, tallying 11 hits over eight innings while putting the finishing touches on the game with a three-run eighth. The Auggies had eight hits of their own, but plated only two runners in the fifth.

William Paterson earned a 5-3, 9-3 seven-inning doubleheader sweep against Worcester State at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Senior first baseman Trevor Haughney went a combined 5-for-6 with four RBI to pace the Pioneers.

Endicott, the defending CCC champion, kicked off their 2014 season with a game against Little East foe Keene State at the RussMatt Invitational and the Gulls erupted for a 24-2 victory to start off their spring campaign 1-0. Senior centerfield Tag Gold led Endicott's offensive outburst with a 4-for-5 day at the plate with six RBI and four runs scored.

Centenary ran its win streak to six games following a pair of victories at the University of Dallas. The Gents downed Dallas 19-12 in the resumed contest from Saturday evening and then trounced the Crusaders 16-4 to claim the SCAC sweep.
