Muhlenberg recorded its first shutout in three years in defeating Albright, 4-0 on Thursday. The Mules scored three runs in the first frame and then rode a strong start on the mound by freshman Ryan Kaverick to win their second straight game. Kaverick scattered only five hits and one walk over seven innings and struck out six in his second career start.

New York University improved to 9-3 on the season with a 6-5 win over visiting St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) at MCU Park in Brooklyn.
NYU led 2-0 after the first inning of play, but trailed 3-2 in the middle of the third when Colman Hendershot's two-run home run gave the Violets a lead they held on to for the remainder of the game.
Junior Jim Fitzgerald was 3-for-4 while rookie Justin Hernandez improved to 4-0 as the Kean Cougars defeated Farmingdale State by the final of 6-2. Hernandez allowed six hits and two unearned runs with three strikeouts and three walks in eight innings of work. No. 25 Kean used a balanced scoring attack, plating runs in the first, second, third, fourth and seventh innings.
Washington & Jefferson pounded out a program-record 25 hits and scored 10 of its 16 runs in the final two innings to defeat Union 16-7. Ryan Sciullo had five of those hits in six plate appearances. He scored a team high three runs and drove in three.
Mike Harrington pitched 6.2 scoreless relief innings with nine strikeouts and no walks to earn the victory and Steven Figueroa finished 2-for-3 with two walks and two RBI as nationally second-ranked Cortland opened SUNYAC play with a 5-2 win at Fredonia.
Lawrence earned a nonconference doubleheader split with Carleton. The Knights took the opener 5-4, and Lawrence rallied for a 5-4 victory in the nightcap. In the second game, Lawrence rallied for four runs in the fourth inning and then escaped jams in the sixth and seventh to preserve the win.
Adam Chochrek drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning and Clark rallied for a thrilling 8-7 come-from-behind win over Fitchburg State. The win for the Cougars in their sixth in a row and ninth in their last ten contests.
Rhode Island College opened the northern portion of their 2017 schedule with an 11-4 victory against Emerson in a non-conference contest played at Pontarelli Field. RIC broke the game open in the bottom of the first with four runs, which included an RBI single from junior center fielder Brad Douglas. The Anchormen upped their lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the second after a two-run single from senior designated hitter Austin Barry and an RBI single from junior first baseman Frank Pettinato.
Bard won a pair of games, beating Mount Saint Vincent, 4-2 in the first contest and 10-4 in the second. Chris Blake finished the day 4-for-6 with a double and three RBIs for the Raptors. The two wins move the Raptors to 3-5 on the season, while the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent fell to 4-7.

After not playing in more than two weeks after seven consecutive postponements, NJCU couldn't wait to get back on the diamond and it showed in the first two innings. The Gothic Knights led 5-0 after two frames and defeated host Drew, 10-6, in a non-conference game at Doc Young Field. Sophomore shortstop Nick LoGatto unleashed his first career home run-the first by any NJCU player this season-a three-run shot in the top of the second inning after senior right fielder Joe Coutinho drove in two runs in the opening inning.
Junior Nate Frederick drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning, bringing home the winning run for Plymouth State in a 4-3 victory over #13-ranked Johns Hopkins at the Gene Cusic Classic. PSU tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth on a bases-loaded single through the right side by junior Cam Ruziak. The Panthers pulled out the win in the ninth when sophomore Ryan Richard scored on Frederick's walk.
Sophomore Jay Felts snapped a 3-3 tie with a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning as host Washington College downed visiting Wesley, 6-4, in the back end of a home and home series in a non-conference game at Athey Baseball Park. The Shoremen avenged a 10-9 loss on Tuesday in Dover, Del. to earn a season split with their Delmarva rival.
Junior Chuck Probst blasted a pair of grand slams while senior Rich Power twirled a four-hit, nine-inning shutout as Gettysburg ran its winning streak to seven with an 11-0 non-conference victory over Penn State York. Freshman Joe Giovinco added a 3-for-4 performance at the plate while classmate Tyler Mitchell scored three runs for the Bullets, who have outscored their opponents 66-10 during their current win streak.
The College of New Jersey erupted for 11 runs in the sixth inning to spearhead a 12-3 victory over Ursinus in their home opener in George Ackerman Park. The #17 Lions scored a run in the fifth and 11 in the sixth to capture their first game since returning north. Junior Brandon Zachary notched his first victory of the season, pitching six innings, striking out six, and limiting the Bears to one run on four hits.
Fontbonne is now 2-1 over spring break after their 8-3 victory over the University of Chicago. Patrick Shuff went three-for-four on the day with a walk and two runs scored. Levi Earnest picked up his second win of the season after pitching seven innings and fanning three Maroons. Fontbonne recorded 15 hits in the win, compared to Chicago's eight. Chicago hit three doubles while the Griffins failed to hit for extra bases, besides Ethan Borrowman's home run.
