Centre picked up a doubleheader sweep of Millsaps on Friday evening in SAA action at Twenty Field, topping the Majors 8-6 in the opening game of the twinbill before defeating the hosts 3-2 in the nightcap. The victories mark the first for Centre in Jackson since 2013. The Colonels will go for their first three-game conference series sweep since 2011 when they battle the Majors on Sunday.

No. 8 Wooster capped their spring break trip with an 11-8 win against No. 13 Johns Hopkins. Wooster overcame a wild first inning that saw the two teams combine to score seven runs despite only one hit in each half of the inning. The Scots took control during a three-run fifth inning, and broke the game wide open with three insurance runs in the eighth that made it 11-5 before warding off a ninth-inning rally by the Blue Jays.
Webster opened play in the SLIAC, beating Greenville, 2-1 and 6-5 in 12 innings. The Gorloks had a walk-off single for the winner in the seventh in the opener, and a walk-off single for the winner in the 12th in the nightcap. The sweek halted a three game losing streak for the Gorloks.
Clark banged out 19 hits, including five home runs on their way to a decisive 17-2 win over Rivier in non-league action. The victory for the Scarlet and White pushes their winning streak to seven in a row in advance of their first conference doubleheader this weekend.
Earlham split a doubleheader with Rose-Hulman, winning game on 7-6 and falling 8-7 in game two on the opening night of HCAC play for both teams. The loss in game two snapped a five-game winning streak for the Quakers.
Farmingdale State played their first conference games of the season and swept Merchant Marine. The Rams earned a 12-4 victory in the opener and closed out the doubleheader with a 5-0 win. Vincent Rice led all Farmngdale State hitters with four hits on the day.
KJ Banse and Joe Hanson each launched solo home runs to power Wisconsin Lutheran to a 10-5 victory in game two against Illinois Tech. The Warriors dropped game one 12-4 at Ed Glancy Field on a windy Frifay afternoon for a non-conference series split with the Scarlet Hawks.
Brandeis junior Sean O'Neill struck out 13 WPI batters over the course of seven strong innings, but the Judges couldn't solve the Engineer pitching staff in a 4-1 loss at the New England Baseball Complex. WPI senior Nick Comei continued his outstanding week with a pair of extra-base hits for the Engineers in support of a full staff effort for his pitchers. Comei, who is hitting .692 over the past three games, went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple to go with a pair of RBI and what proved to be the game-winning run. Defensively, he was a part of two double plays. Sophomore Steven Gallagher homered while junior Evan Lacroixtripled and sophomore Ryan Tropeano doubled and scored twice.
Off to their best start in 13 years, Edgewood suffered a setback in the Wheaton College Tournament. The Eagles fell to Northland 10-6 in the morning and then dropped a second game, 14-5 to Bethel in the afternoon. The defeats mark the Eagles first back-to-back losses of the 2017 season.
Keystone scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally for a 4-3 victory over Cabrini as the Giants spoiled the Cavaliers’ CSAC debut. Anthony Ferrezza delivered a two-out, two run single in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel the Giants to the victory in a game played at Cabrini with Keystone as the home team due to the remnants of Winter Storm Stella making Christy Mathewson Field unplayable in La Plume.

Castleton collected 11 hits and Steven Jurkiewicz tossed six strong innings on the mound as the Spartans cruised to a 9-2 victory over Coast Guard in a non-conference matchup at Nitchman field. Davis Mikell continued his hot hitting at the plate going 3-for-5 with two RBI and finished just a home run shy of the cycle. Matt Jackson also finished with three hits on the day, while Dillon Benham went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
Senior Brock Podgurski was 4-for-4 while classmate Mike Occhi tossed five and a third innings of scoreless relief for the win as Kean scored 11 unanswered runs to top Staten Island 11-5. Occhi allowed just two walks with no hits and two strikeouts. Kean is now 4-2 since returning from their spring trip in California.
Arcadia pounded out four home runs and six doubles as it recorded a 16-7 MAC Commonwealth victory at Stevenson in the first of three games between the two teams this weekend. Bryan Gillen was a perfect 5 for 5 for the day with a home run, three doubles, five runs scored and two driven in, while Jordan Draude finished the day 2 for 3 with two homers, four RBI and four runs scored while drawing three walks in the game.
Benedictine won a third straight in Florida, taking down Fontbonne 5-3, breaking a 3-3 tie with two runs in the seventh inning. Benedictine was able to collect the win despite being out hit 7-12.
Junior Quinn DiPasquale struck out nine over six efficient innings, ten different batters reached base, and Stevens defeated Houghton, 8-3, in the Empire 8 Conference opener. Senior Mchael Mule' collected three hits and drove in two and freshman A.J. Falconite scored three times for Stevens, who defeated the Highlanders for the seventh straight time.
Sewanee fought back from a late 3-1 deficit to earn a 4-3 walk-off win against SAA rival Oglethorpe at historic Montgomery Field. After Oglethorpe starter Kyle Babb pitched well early, Sewanee finally broke through with three runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. The Tigers now sit tied for first place in the SAA with a record of 5-1 in conference action.
