Sophomore Michael Genaro retired the first 15 batters and came within two outs of a no-hitter as Babson defeated the visiting Coast Guard Academy, 8-0, in NEWMAC action on Wednesday at Govoni Field. Genaro, who was making his first start since March 18, struck out four and faced just two batters over the minimum (hit ans error) in a complete-game effort. Senior Jack Halpin and first-year Sean Harrington both drove in a pair of runs for the Beavers.

Senior Ryan Dorow went 3-for-5 with four runs batted in while becoming the Bulldogs' all-time leader in that category, leading Adrian to a 7-2 non-conference victory over host Baldwin Wallace in their first ever meeting. Dorow set the program's career record for RBIs on a pair of two-run singles.

Austin held off a late rally by Dallas Christian, coming away with a wild, 15-13 win at Baker Field. The 'Roos improve to 9-22 overall this season with the victory. Oscar Gonzalez finished the game going 3-for-6 with six RBI, and Cody Goggins went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

For the second time this season, Elmira walked off at historic Dunn Field, as a grounder up the middle off the bat of Dylan Bellinger drove in the winning run to lift the Soaring Eagles over the Wells Express, 3-2. After giving up an unearned run in the top of the ninth inning, freshman Sam Plaugher led off the home half of the frame with a soft liner and ended at third two out later. Bellinger, the program's all-time hits leader came up with another clutch base knock, as the two-time Empire 8 all-conference honoree sealed the victory with a seeing-eye single past the pitcher's mound and through into centerfield, allowing Plaugher to trot home with ease.

Virginia Wesleyan scored four runs in the middle innings to defeat Hampden-Sydney 6-3 in ODAC action. Chance Pauley earned the win, surrendering three runs in 6.1 innings while striking out four. Brady Fallon went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored. Riley Koonce picked up his ODAC-leading sixth save of the year with two innings of one-hit relief.

Once they got things clicking, Eastern Mennonite was in control in Wednesday's big 10-5 win over Bridgewater (Va.). The Royals scored 10 of the final 11 runs in the game, picking up an impressive victory over their rivals while also snapping an eight-game losing streak. Kyle Salladay had a huge day, batting 3-4 with three runs and three RBIs.

The Manhattanville offense exploded, as the Valiants routed Mount St. Mary 17-2 in non-conference play inside Dutchess Stadium.  The Valiants racked up 20 hits to go with their 17-run output against the Knights, the most runs the team has scored since putting 18 on the board last season against SUNY Purchase. Manhattanville scored in seven consecutive at bats, being held scoreless in just the first and ninth inning. Peter Iannarilli  led the offensive charge with three hits and two walks in six plate appearances, scoring three runs.

No. 4 ranked UW-Whitewater rolled to one win and erased a seven-run deficit in another to post a two-game sweep of Ripon in a non-conference doubleheader in Ripon. The Warhawks scored eight unanswered runs to start game one before Ripon scored their two runs in the eighth as the Warhawks won 8-2. In the nighcap UWW was down 8-1 after two inings and chipped away at the deficit, finishing the comeback with two runs in the ninth for a 9-8 victory.

Wesley upended the Penn State-Harrisburg Lions 11-6 in a CAC road contest to clinch the season sweep over their conference foe. Penn State-Harrisburg rallied in the eighth and ninth innings, scoring six runs but Wesley stifled the threat to score the victory. Trey Mears went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored.

Bethel (Minn.) remembered to pack the broomstick for the second consecutive MIAC doubleheader, as BU defeated Concordia-Moorhead twice in Moorhead. The No. 25-ranked Royals won their 11th straight with 12-1 and 11-6 victories over the Cobbers.

Salem State used a six-run sixth inning to help secure an 8-4 victory over Roger Williams on Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field. Alex Toomey, Joe White, and Tyler Galimi all finished 2-for-4 for Salem State while Toomey and Colton Fontaine added two RBI's.  Ryan McDermott,Justin Stone and Byran Terzian all had a pair of hits for Roger Williams.

Visiting Moravian scored the tying run in the eighth inning before getting the game-winning run in the ninth inning to rally for a 3-2 win over Keystone in a non-conference tilt at Christy Mathewson Field. Keystone put the tying run on base with one out in the ninth inning, but the visitors got a game-ending double play to secure the comeback victory.

Senior left-hander Tyler Leavitt and four relievers combined for a five-hit shutout as Southern Maine blanked the Bowdoin Polar Bears 6-0 in a non-conference game at the Colby College Baseball-Softball Complex. Leavitt went the first five innings allowing four hits and two walks while striking out five. Leavitt was followed to the mound by senior Alex Tobey, sophomores Tanner Laberge and Matt Correale, and senior Zack Bean.  Each pitched a scoreless inning.

Guilford's Rocco Wilcox posted three RBI on his three-for-four afternoon as the Quakers claimed an IDAC victory over Emory & Henry, 13-6. Andrew Brann finished three-for-four with two RBI, including his home run, representing one of two Quakers with three hits along with Wilcox. Daulton Horne finished two-for-four with one RBI to lead Emory & Henry as he was one of three Wasps with two hits on the afternoon.

Perry Van Eckhardt remained hot at the plate for Willamette in a 15-7 non-conference win over Lewis & Clark as he went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and a single. He scored four runs and registered six RBIs. Willamette lead the NWC with a 13-5 record, but Wednesday's game was not part of the conference schedule. Van Eckhardt has pounded out at least one home run in four of Willamette's last six games. He is tied for WU's home run lead this season with five homers -- all during a current six-game hitting streak.

Freshman Dezmond Aguirre drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the fourth to help key a 13-2 Worcester State win over host WPI in a non-conference contest at the New England Baseball Complex. Between the two squads, 50 student-athletes, including 15 pitchers, took part in the game as WPI accounted for 27 and WSU totaled 23. 

St. John's rode two strong pitching performances from sophomores in a pair of shutouts, 7-0 and 11-0, over Carleton in Collegeville, Minn. Sophomore Jake Dickmeyer improved to 3-0 with the game-one victory, allowing three hits and struck out four in six innings of work. He has a 1.08 ERA and 12 strikeouts, to no walks, in 25 innings this spring. Sophomore Tommy Auger went the distance in game two to earn his first collegiate win. He scattered seven hits and struck out three.

Endicott rallied for five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to earn an 8-7 walk-off win versus Framingham State in non-conference action at North Field. Tied 7-7 in the bottom of the ninth with runners at first and third base, Endicott freshman catcher Ian Schmidt sent the Gulls' bench storming onto the field when he laced an opposite field, one-hopper deep into the hole at second base to score Michael DeDonato from the third for the game-winning run. Rams' second baseman Matt Brockett did make a diving stop on the ball in the direction of first base but had no chance at a throw after getting up from the turf.

Arcadia pounded out 22 hits, including three homers, as it cruised to a 23-3 non-conference victory at Eastern. Jordan Draude went 3 for 3 with two long balls, five RBI and three runs scored, while Dylan Towey went 5-for-6 with two doubles, four runs scored and another driven in.

Marietta, playing for the first time in nine days, swept an OAC doubleheader from rival Muskingum. The Pioneers won the first game 2-1 in 10 innings and then took the nitecap by a 9-4 margin. In the opener, Marietta made it 1-0 in the ninth only to see Muskingum tie it up. In the tenth, the Pioneers made a one run stick then won in easy fashion in game two.

Penn State Behrend split with Medaille in AMCC action. The Lions dropped the first game 4-3 before rebounding to a 5-2 victory in game two. Medaille's Peter Grunzweig picked up his first win of the season after tossing a complete game five-hitter against the Lions, striking out three. Justin Rohrer shut down the Mavericks offense in the nightcap. The senior righty pitched a complete game to pick up his third win of the season while striking out 12 and allowing just four hits.

Sophomore John Condon launched his first home run of the season, a three-run blast that gave St. Joseph's (Bklyn.) a 5-2 lead, but Drew rallied with four runs in the sixth and handed the Bears a 6-5 non-conference defeat. Condon and Anthony Camerada combined to drive in all five Bear runs.
