Lewis & Clark erupted for 11 runs in the top of the eighth inning and senior outfielder Dylan Moore threw 2.1 innings in relief to earn the win, to lead the Pioneers to a 16-11 victory over host Caltech on Sunday. After giving up seven runs and the lead in the bottom of the seventh, Lewis & Clark sent 16 batters to the plate and used seven hits, four walks and one hit by pitch, to put together their third double-digit run inning of the season.

Montclair State University recorded a sweep, 14-5 and 5-4, over Ramapo College today in NJAC conference action. The Red Hawks improve to 20-7 overall and 5-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 9-12-1 overall and 2-4 in the NJAC. In game one, MSU belted out 14 hits including two doubles while they scored 14 runs. Game two would come down to the wire. Tied 4-4, MSU would load the bases in the bottom of the ninth with no outs. With the Ramapo infield playing in, the defense would get the first out on a ground ball to second base and a play at the plate before Jason Moore dunked a single in front of the left fielder to score Blaise Rantanen from third and give MSU the come-from-behind, walk-off win. Nick Sefick (3-0) earned the win in relief for the Red Hawks.

Bethel University walked off Saint John's University twice on Sunday afternoon, the first in dramatic fashion and the second via the 10-run rule. For the second straight game the Bethel Royals rallied with a four-run final inning to pull out a come from behind victory in game one. Bethel had rallied the day before in Duluth with a four-run top of the 9th inning to win game two over St. Scholastica, 7-6, and did it again on Sunday to the Johnnies. BU laid it on SJU in the second game jumping out to a 12-0 lead before settling with a 13-3 final score.

Max Mello ended game one with a walkoff double and Trey Bourque hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the eighth inning of game two to complete a three-game weekend sweep for Skidmore College over Rensselaer on Sunday. Skidmore has a hefty four-game lead over the field in the Liberty League East Division. The Thoroughbreds are 18-2-1 overall, 7-1 in the conference, and 6-0 in the division. Meanwhile, the Engineers fall to 10-13, 2-7, and 2-4.

Alfred State (12-15, 6-0 AMCC) swept the Penn State–Altoona Lions (8-12, 0-2 AMCC) at Bolivar-Richburg High School in Bolivar, New York on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers are on a ten-game win streak with the 4-0 and 13-3 wins, and remain undefeated in conference play. The Pioneers recorded 10 hits in game one with Sam Dickerson going 2-for-3 with one RBI. In game two the Pioneers out hit the Lions 9-3 in the ten run victory.

The University of Rochester bats stayed hot despite the cool temperatures at Towers Field on Sunday in a doubleheader sweep over conference foe Clarkson University. Rochester earned a 12-5 victory in game one of the doubleheader and followed that up with a 7-2 win in game two, stretching the Yellowjackets win streak to a season-long nine games. The wins came on the heels of an 18-10 offensive outburst victory to open the series on Saturday evening. UR improves to 19-4 overall and 8-0 in the Liberty League, playing its first three West Division games this weekend. Clarkson falls to 5-13 on the year and is 2-6 in the conference (1-4 Divisional).

Mount Union rallied for a split at Otterbein in an Ohio Athletic Conference Saturday at Fishbaugh Field. The Purple Raiders dropped the opener 12-8 before winning the nightcap 10-6. The split leaves Mount Union at 13-8 overall and 4-2 in the OAC, while Otterbein is 15-8 overall and also 4-2 in the OAC. Both teams are a game out of first place in the conference. In game two, Mount Union would tak and early 4-2 lead. Otterbein would rally again time with a three-run seventh to retake the lead at 5-4 but Mount Union once again responded scoring six unanswered with two in the eighth. In the opener the teams combined for 20 runs on 27 hits, but Otterbein scored a 12-8 win. Mount Union had a seven run second inning to take a 7-1 lead. In that big inning, Chase Angotti hit a three-run homer and Mazza hit a solo home run. Otterbein would out-score Mount Union 11-1 the rest of the way including a six-run fourth inning.

No. 20 UW-Stevens Point (17-3, 8-2) picked up three wins on Sunday to take the series over visiting UW-La Crosse (12-9, 7-5). Payton Nelson hit a walk-off home run in the 13th inning to complete Saturday's game two with a 15-14 UWSP win. The Pointers then got a 2-0 and a 13-3 run-rule win on Sunday to take the series. Bradley Comer had five hits in Sunday's full games. He drove in four runs, all in the nightcap. Aaron Simmons and Lucas Luedtke had three hits apiece. Simmons had an RBI and three runs scored. Luedtke scored a run in each game. Matt Baumann scored four runs and Logan Matson had three runs scored on the day. Nelson had three RBI, including the walk-off RBI in the run-rule game two.

Edgewood College ran its winning streak to five games in game one of Sunday's doubleheader at Dominican University, but ultimately settled for a split after dropping game two. The Eagles used a three-run seventh to secure an 8-5 win in the opener before Dominican rallied with a five-run eighth in a 5-2 final in the nightcap. Dominican (12-9, 4-4 NACC) tied the game up after scoring two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth, but the Eagles responded with a three-run seventh. Kalafut gave Edgewood College the lead back with a two-RBI double, plating Adam Cairo and Kyle Sagan. Alex Prindle then drove in Kalafut to make the score 8-5 in favor of Edgewood College. The Eagles appeared on their way to a sweep as they led 2-0 until the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when Dominican plated five runs to steal game two, 5-2.

Racking up 20 hits on the day, North Central College (20-5, 7-0 CCIW) scored three or more runs in five straight innings to power their way past Carroll University, 17-4 on Sunday afternoon at Frame Park. CJ Jensik came in relief of starter Ryan Behling and closed out the game for North Central as the Cardinals improved to 20-5 and 7-0 in CCIW play. Behling earned his third win of the season as he allowed four runs and struck out six in his six innings pitched. Listi went 4-for-4 at the plate with four runs, three RBIs and a walk.

DePauw improved to 10-12 overall and 3-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Oberlin by scores of 7-3 and 16-10. The Yeomen dropped to 5-16 overall and 1-5 in conference play. In the opener, it was a back and forth game until the seventh when the Tigers scored five. It was the same in the nightcap but the big inning for the Tigers came in the fifth as DePauw put a nine-spot on the scoreboard.

Fourth-ranked LaGrange blew past Brevard 15-3 on Sunday to complete a sweep of the USA South weekend series. The Panthers, with their fourth straight win, improved to 24-3 overall and 8-1 in the USA South. McKinley Erves led the Panthers' 17-hit attack with four hits, including a double and a triple. He scored two runs to up his team-leading total to 48. Jack Layrisson had a double and a triple included in his three hits, while driving in four runs. He now has 41 RBIs, one behind team-leader Joe Ruth. Stephen Bartolotta (2-0) went four innings to get the win. He allowed three runs on six hits, walked one and struck out two. Jacob Brown threw three scoreless innings to pick up his second save of the season.

Northland College continued their road series today against Martin Luther College in a UMAC double-header in New Ulm, MN. The Jacks picked up their first win of the 2022 season, taking game one 15-10 but fell in game two 17-11. In game one, Christian Goodson would get the start on the mound for the Jacks. After giving up two runs in the first and three in the second, the Jacks bats burst on the scene with runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Ridge Guyette would lead all LumberJack hitters in game one going 4-6 at the plate with two home runs and four runs scored. Trailing in the 8th in game two, Hunter Wicklund hammered an RBI double to right field, scoring Isaac Voelker-Morris but it wouldn't be enough as MLC added insurance runs in the 8th to take game two 17-11 over the Jacks.

University of Lynchburg took down Christopher Newport for the second-straight day on Sunday afternoon. Nick Mattfield started for the fifth-ranked Hornets but got into trouble in the first. After retiring the first batter, Mattfield found himself in a bases-loaded jam. However, the sophomore got a strikeout and a groundout to escape the early threat. Mattfield settled in and faced the minimum in five of the next six innings while striking out seven. Grayson Thurman relieved Mattfield in the top half of that inning, struck out three batters, and earned his ninth save of the year. Thurman is tied for the national lead in saves. Lynchburg started up its first winning streak against the Captains since beating CNU in consecutive meetings in 2002 and 2006.

Penn State Harrisburg completed the weekend sweep of United East foe Penn State Berks thanks to a pair of convincing victories in doubleheader action on Sunday afternoon, April 10. The Lions rolled to a 9-0 shutout in the opener before wrapping things up with an 11-2 win in the nightcap. Penn State Harrisburg (12-14, 9-2 United East) shut out Penn State Berks (9-12, 3-8 United East) in a 9-0 victory in the first of Sunday's pair of conference outings. Zach Gettys was stellar on the mound, throwing a complete game, striking out 11, and allowing just three hits in seven innings of work to earn his fifth win of the spring. Dallas Hite and Maddux Ryan each homered and added a double, while Brendan Henn also had a multi-hit outing. Penn State Harrisburg (13-14, 10-2 United East) finished off a three-game sweep of conference foe Penn State Berks (9-13, 3-9 United East) with an 11-2 victory in Sunday's nightcap. Dallas Hite had a big game, going 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs scored, while Chase Smith became just the second player in program history to reach 200 hits for his career. Brendan Henn and Drew Sassaman also had multi-hit games.

Lawrence University pounded out 35 hits, including five home runs, to sweep a Midwest Conference doubleheader from Illinois College on Sunday at Whiting Field. Lawrence won the opener 23-12 in eight innings and took the nightcap 7-4 to complete a sweep of the three-game series. In a wild first game, Lawrence (12-6, 7-1 MWC) rapped out 24 hits, including two homers and seven doubles. The game saw Illinois College rally from six down to take the lead and Lawrence come back from a five-run deficit to win the game via the 10-run rule. Illinois College led 3-1 after scoring three unearned runs on Kellen Blum's home run in the second inning of the nightcap. The Vikings tied the game in the third and took the lead for good in the fifth.

Purchase College earned a pair of Skyline Conference wins Sunday afternoon, topping St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn by the scores of 4-2 and 10-4. With the wins, the Panthers are now 10-11 overall and 6-4 in the conference. Meanwhile, the Bears fell to 3-17 and 1-9, respectively. After the two sides started the day with a pair of scoreless innings, the Panthers broke the deadlock with three runs in the third. While game one's final score ended up being close, the result was never really in doubt. That narrative flipped in game two though, as the Panthers and Bears played a much tighter affair before the guests blew it open late.

Huntingdon won the final game of the series against Hampden-Sydney, 15-0, in 7 innings. Daniel Phillips started the scoring and Andrew Knight's 3-run home run in the 6th inning ended the game in a 15-0 run rule. Hall Billings earned the win, pitching 6.0 innings and allowing no runs on 4 hits with 5 strikeouts. Knight was 1-2 with 3 runs and 4 RBI, including a 3-run homerun in the 6th inning. Phillips was 2-2 with 1 run and 1 RBI.

Washington & Jefferson College continued to have its way with Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Waynesburg University. The Presidents rolled to a doubleheader sweep Sunday, as the Red and Black claimed game one by a 15-1 score before coasting to an 11-1 victory in game two. W&J has won 14 straight in the head-to-head series with the local rival. The Presidents have won every meeting with the Yellow Jackets since the start of the 2017 season. W&J extends its current overall winning streak to 10 games. The Presidents are 9-0 in PAC play and 16-6 overall. Waynesburg drops to 7-15 overall and 3-7 in conference games.

Union College settled for a split of its Liberty League doubleheader with Vassar College on Sunday afternoon at Shuttleworth Park. The Dutchmen took game one by an 8-5 score but dropped the second game by a 7-2 margin. First-year Chris Suter had another solid outing on the hill and sophomore Sebastian Pike did plenty of damage at the plate to lead the Dutchmen to an 8-5 win in game one. Suter (3-1) allowed only one run on four hits with five strikeouts in 6.1 innings to earn the victory, allowing a run in the first inning and keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard after that. Pike had a big game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a homer, double, three runs batted in and two runs scored, while senior Jack DiNanno and junior Jono Santos added two RBIs apiece. The offense was not there for Union in the second game of the day, as Vassar scored four times in the first two innings and never looked back in a 7-2 victory.

Brandeis University split a University Athletic Association doubleheader today, earning a series split with rivals NYU. The visiting Violets won the opener, 17-3, in seven inning, but the Judges bounced back to take game two, 8-6. Brandeis now stands at 12-7 overall, 3-5 in the UAA. NYU is 16-6 overall and 6-6 in the UAA. In the opener, the Violets scored runs in five of their seven at-bats, batting around twice, as they took a 17-3 win. The visitors hit four home runs in the game, paced by 1B Nick Argenziano, who went deep twice. In game two, NYU jumped on top again in the third inning on back-to-back RBI doubles but Brandeis bounced back to end the inning in the lead and added enough runs to survive an NYU uprising in the seventh. Brandeis got some uneeded insurance in the bottom of the eighth on a solo home run by Victor Oppenheimer, his second of the season and the sixth of his career. That closed out the scoring for the game at 8-6.

St. Olaf College got six shutout innings from fifth-year senior Hunter Barber on its way to a 5-0 win in game one before Augsburg University won a pitchers' duel in game two, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at First National Bank of River Falls Field. Barber struck out a career-high 11 batters and scattered five hits over six innings and the St. Olaf (8-8, 2-2 MIAC) offense broke through with five runs over the middle innings in game one. In game two, three Augsburg (10-11, 2-2 MIAC) pitchers limited the Oles to four hits and Gage delivered two two-out, run-scoring singles to help the Auggies salvage a split.

Sophomore Jackson Curtis reached base four times in the opener and had three hits, including a pair of home runs, in the nightcap to lead Plymouth State University to a split of a Little East Conference doubleheader against Keene State College at the Owl Athletic Complex on Sunday. The Panthers got out to an early lead in the opener, scoring in three of the first four innings to take a 4-0 lead, but Keene State rallied with eight runs in the sixth through eighth innings to earn the 11-4 victory. Curtis went deep in the second and fifth innings of game two and senior Noah Wachter (Concord, N.H.) allowed just one hit over 3.2 scoreless innings of relief as the Panthers rebounded for an 8-5 win. Plymouth State moves to 9-15 (1-3 LEC), while Keene State goes to 4-15 and 1-3 in the Little East.

No. 10 ranked UW-Whitewater started an eight-game road swing Sunday with two wins at UW-Eau Claire in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Bollinger Fields. The Warhawks (14-5 overall, 6-2 WIAC) claimed both contests by run rule after seven innings, taking the first game 16-1 and the nightcap by a 13-0 score. In the opener, UW-Whitewater tallied 10 hits and took advantage of three Blugold errors. Third baseman Matt Korman registered three hits, two runs scored and two runs batted in. In Game 2, UW-W collected 13 more hits while pitchers Kade Lancour and Joey Pettit combined for a four-hit shutout. Lancour (4-0) struck out six over five innings of work and Pettit followed with five strikeouts over two frames. Paden drove in eight runs thanks to a three-run homer in the top of the second inning, a grand slam in the top of the fifth and a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. Vomhof totaled four hits, two runs scored and one RBI, while DeMeyer finished with two hits, one walk and two RBIs. Paget added two hits, one walk and one run scored. Korman drove in one run.

Farmingdale State College moved its record to 13-10 overall, as well as 8-4 in Skyline Conference play, with a doubleheader sweep Sunday afternoon over visiting Yeshiva University. The host Rams, winners of eight of their last 10 outings, picked up a 10-0 shutout in the opening showdown before earning a 14-4, eight-inning victory in the nightcap. In the opener, sophomore left-hander Jordan Lambert moved to 2-2 on the season, facing just three batters over the minimum in his five innings of work, scattering two hits and two walks while striking out eight Maccabees (2-21, 0-16 Skyline). Junior righty Christian Esperon set down all six YU batters he faced over the sixth and seventh innings to preserve the shutout. FSC senior outfielder Vincent Napolitano went 4-for-4 with two doubles in the contest. In the nightcap, FSC got four RBI apiece from outfielders Daniel Molina and Tony Figliuolo in the top two spots in the batting lineup. Junior Louis Annunziata went 3-for-5 with two RBI, finishing a homer shy of the cycle.

Freshman Tyler Danko pitched seven strong innings and collected a pair of RBI as the Wisconsin Lutheran College picked up its first NACC win of the season on Sunday afternoon in a 6-3 victory over Concordia Chicago. The Cougars earned a split with a 7-4 victory in the nightcap at Kapco Park. CUC tied game one at 3-3 in the fourth inning on a one-out solo home run to left field, but WLC retook the lead as Danko helped his own cause at the plate with two-out, two-run double to score two. Wisconsin Lutheran added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth when Danko reached on a Cougars' fielding error to plate Ethan Orcutt and extend Wisconsin Lutheran's lead to 6-3. Concordia Chicago brought the tying run to the plate in both the seventh and ninth innings but stranded a pair of runners in each frame as the Green and White secured the 6-3 victory. In game two WLC threatened in the bottom half of the seventh inning but stranded a pair of runners, including the tying run at second base and never was able to get closer to the lead. The Cougars added two insurance runs in the eighth inning and their bullpen retired the final seven batters in order to secure the game two win.

Russell Sage College split this afternoon's Empire 8 Conference doubleheader at Keuka. In the opener, the Gators erased multiple deficits before being walked-off upon 8-7 (8 innings). In the eighth, senior outfielder Nick Brown singled up the middle with the bases loaded to deliver Keuka the walk-off triumph. RSC earned the split with a 9-4 victory in the nightcap. The Gators opened up a 5-1 lead with four runs in the fourth inning. Freshman outfielder Leandro Guzman doubled home a pair to highlight the rally. RSC increased its advantage with four more runs in the sixth. Guzman and Colletta each singled home a teammate in the frame. Keuka scored three runs in the sixth for the final margin.

George Fox was able to avoid a season sweep by the Wildcats with a 6-4 win at Linfield's home park on Sunday. Ben Wills got the game started with five and two thirds of work on the hill, allowing three earned runs on nine hits with two strikeouts. Noah Meffert finished the last three and a third for his third save of the season. Neither offense could get going early, cruising through four scoreless innings before Fox kicked the scoring off in the fifth. The Bruins allowed three runs in the bottom of the inning, but single runs in the seventh and eighth put more cushion between the Bruins and Linfield. Spencer Roos went 3-5 with two runs scored and an RBI, Jared Gee was 3-5 with a double and an RBI, and Meffert struck out four in his relief effort.

Pitching was on full display in Maritime College's doubleheader with Merchant Marine at Reinhart Baseball Field on Sunday. Game one went to 12 innings before the Mariners (14-13, 7-3 Skyline) came away with a 2-1 victory. Frank Santeramo then threw just 67 pitches in the nightcap, as Maritime (17-7, 9-3 Skyline) earned a 3-2 win to split the twinbill. Neither side was able to push a run across in the 10th or 11th, pushing the game into the 12th inning, Maritime's longest since a 13-inning tilt with Mount St. Vincent on March 31, 2019. In the top of the 12th, Merchant Marine played small ball, getting a bunt single and a sacrifice after a leadoff base hit. Clapsaddle then dropped a bunt down the first base line and Chambers came across with the go-ahead run on the squeeze play. The Privateers runners on first and second in the bottom half of the inning, but Anthony Madigan flied to right for the final out in the 2-1 Merchant Marine victory. Sullivan went 10 innings on the mound, holding the Mariners to just one unearned run on four hits with seven strikeouts and one walk. For Merchant Marine, starting pitcher Kole Register lasted 8.2 innings. He surrendered one run on seven hits, struck out three and walked four.

Senior catcher Lucas Stetter belted a 2-run homer to plate what proved to be the deciding runs in the opener of a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader against Wooster on Sunday at Littick Field. In the nightcap, The College of Wooster stormed back from the 5-3 loss. Wooster (13-8, 3-3 North Coast Athletic Conference) scored in what turned into the final six innings of Sunday's twin bill. Sophomore Eli Westrick improved to 2-0 on the year. The right-hander allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits in five innings of work. Junior Christian Johnston and Ben Gbur each worked a scoreless inning of relief. Westrick worked out of a first-inning jam, thanks to a strikeout, throw out double play. Alex Gasper at the dish helped Wooster comfortably push the game to an early run-rule conclusion.

Another late rally in game one, then a one-sided victory in game two, and Oglethorpe swept Sewanee in a three-game Southern Athletic Association set Sunday afternoon. Oglethorpe scored five runs in the last three innings to win game one 8-7 in 10 innings, then scored eight runs across the third and fourth inning to win game two 8-1. Like game one of the series on Saturday, Sunday's first game featured a late rally by the Petrels. They trailed 6-3 through seven before trimming the deficit to one after eight, tying it in the ninth, and winning it with two runs in the 10th. All the scoring the Petrels needed in game two came in the third inning as they scored five runs. The Petrels have now won eight of their last nine games, dating back to the series win over No. 25 Hendrix. This is their second four-game winning streak, both occurring in the last nine games. During this stretch, three wins have come against national top 25.

No. 1 ranked Marietta College put on an offensive display as the Etta Express easily swept an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader from Wilmington College Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Park. Marietta downed the Quakers 17-5 in game one and took the second game by the score of 29-1 in seven innings. The Pioneers have now won nine straight games and improved to 23-2 on the season. Marietta is 5-1 in the OAC. Wilmington falls to 12-13 overall and 1-5 in the OAC. Marietta exploded for 46 runs on 48 base hits, including five home runs, two grand slams, four triples and seven doubles on the afternoon. In the sixth inning of game two, the first 11 Marietta batters had a base hit and the first 17 batters reached base via a hit or walk as Marietta plated 17 runs in the inning.

Catholic University completed a series sweep of Moravian on Sunday, winning both games, 7-3 and 9-3, of the doubleheader. The Cardinals (23-6, 9-0 LC) have now won eight games in a row and 21 of their last 23 overall. They also remain perfect in Landmark Conference play, having swept all three conference series they have played. Catholic got out to early leads in both games before Moravian (13-12, 2-6 LC) mounted two comeback efforts. The Cardinals then used late flurries to grab the victories. The Cardinals only used two pitcher en route to the win in game one. Freshman Cody Bosak and sophomore Danny Fitzgerald combined to pitch a gem on the mound. Bosak started the game and pitched 5.0 innings, only allowing four hits and one earned run, and striking out five. Fitzgerald pitched the final 4.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits. Catholic jumped on the Greyhounds early and late in game two to finish the sweep.
