Widener scored seven runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to come back and beat Messiah, 12-6, and secure in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament semifinals on Tuesday afternoon at the Widener University baseball field. With the win, the fourth-seeded Pride have a chance to make their first championship game since 2019. The Pride will face top-seeded Lebanon Valley in a best-of-three semifinal series at Lebanon Valley. Trailing, 6-5, the Pride put together its big rally in the eighth after loading the bases via walks from Justin Costanzo and Nick Barenz and a hit by pitch from Bryce Fremgen. Then, Andrew Yates smacked a pinch-hit double to right center to bring home Costanzo and Barenz to give the Pride a 7-6 lead. Three batters later, Aaron Nuble brought home another run after drawing a bases-loaded walk. In the next at-bat, Anthony Boccio hit a two-run single and Costanzo hit a two-run double in his second plate appearance of the inning to make it 12-6. In the ninth, the Pride managed to put the game away after Zachary Coluccio recorded a scoreless inning. Coluccio picked up the win in relief for the Pride, allowing only one earned run on three hits while fanning three.

Third-seeded William Paterson (27-13, 12-6 NJAC) used a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat fourth-seeded and 23rd-ranked Kean (29-12, 12-6 NJAC), 5-4, during the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament at Jeff Albies Field. The Pioneers will face second-seeded and 25th-ranked Montclair State (31-9, 15-3 NJAC) in the second round of the double-elimination tourney Friday. Senior Riley Weis threw 105 pitches during his 5.0 innings of action, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six. Senior Matt Lawler provided 4.0 shutout innings of relief, scattering two hits while striking out one hitter (4-2). Ramapo send top seeded Rowan into the elimination rounds, with a 16-13 win. The Roadrunner offense pounding out 16 runs on 17 hits with Joe Wisniewski's grand slam the biggest of the bunch. Montclair State also advanced as they defeated TCNJ 3-2.

Johnson & Wales defeated the Falcons of Albertus Magnus college in a single-elimination game on Tuesday evening, 12-2. The Wildcats advance to the double-elimination portion of the GNAC tournament, starting on Thursday. The teams traded runs in the eighth inning, and JWU closed out the game in the top of the ninth, taking a 12-2 victory. Dane DellaValle pitched eight innings for the Wildcats, earning the victory with seven strikeouts. The Wildcats travel to take on Anna Maria on Thursday afternoon and will take part in the double-elimination tournament, which continues on Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph's College (Me.). Elms College also advanced. The Blazers played in and won its first ever GNAC playoff game on Tuesday afternoon as they defeated the Lasell University Lasers 13-8 in a 15 inning thriller. Damon Wesley pitched 6.2 innings in the win.

Baruch recorded an 11-2 CUNYAC playoff win against Lehman College on Tuesday afternoon at Flowers Park in New Rochelle. Matthew Lawlor stayed undefeated at 5-0 after another complete game effort going nine innings with four hits, two earned runs, and six strikeouts. He had four complete games (seven innings) in his previous four wins, but today he went the full nine innings in the single game elimination win. The Bearcats advance to Friday's three-game CUNYAC championship series at Maimonides Park (formerly MCU Park) at 12 p.m. to play the second playoff winner on Wednesday between CCNY or John Jay.

Colby College plated one run in the seventh and four more in the eighth to pull out a 5-0 win over the New England College Tuesday afternoon. Both pitching staff and defenses held firm for most of the contest, as Colby was the first team to plate a run, coming in the bottom of the seventh inning. Clint Flippo flared a single to shallow centerfield with two outs in the seventh to score Cole Palmeri from third. The Mules extended their advantage in the bottom half of the frame as they struck for four runs in the inning.

University of Mary Washington defeated Randolph-Macon College, 10-3, on Tuesday afternoon in Ashland, Va. The Eagles close the regular season with a 17-21 record. UMW wasted little time in providing offense. Randolph-Macon scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth, but UMW continued to hit. Ty Lowe had three singles and a double, driving in four runs to lead the Eagle offense, while Norman Holcomb had three hits and Sedmak posted two hits and scored four runs. Justin Ritz gained the win, allowing two runs on five hits in six innings, with two walks and four strikeouts.

Rockford University (15-18) picked up a dominating 3-0 road win over Beloit College (15-20) on Tuesday evening. The Rockford pitching staff was the story of the game. The Regents surrendered just four hits on the day and secured their second shutout victory of the season. Offensively, it was Jared Herzog who came up with a clutch two-out RBI single in the third, to give his team the early lead. The bullpen would take it the rest of the way, holding Beloit scoreless over the final seven innings en route to a 3-0 win. Starter Brayden Bidwell allowed just 1 hit over his 2 innings of work. Nick Paun also went 2 innings on the mound. He surrendered just 1 hit and struck out 2 batters. Blake Shallenbarger picked up his first collegiate win and improved to 1-0 this year. He went 2 innings and allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 2. Quinn Rempfer threw a scoreless and hitless inning. Christian Dahlstrom threw the final 2 innings to earn his fifth save of the season. Dahlstrom allowed just 1 hit and struck out 2.

No. 2 nationally-ranked Eastern Connecticut State University scored four late-inning runs to expand a one-run lead and the Warriors survived four errors that led to three unearned runs and moved to within a win of their 14th Little East Conference regular-season championship with an 8-6 victory over Keene State College Tuesday at the Owl Athletic Complex. A winner of 30 regular-season games for the 15th time since joining the NCAA in 1976, Eastern (33-3, 13-1 LEC) needs one win when its hosts the University of Massachusetts Boston (23-12, 11-3) Friday in a doubleheader on the final day of the regular season to clinch a second straight LEC regular-season title and No. 1 tournament seed. Two wins Friday gives Eastern a record 35 victories in the regular season and a second straight conference regular-season title and record of 15-1.

Sophomore center fielder Cameron Santerre stole three bases to establish a new program record (31) for single-season swipes as Rhode Island College defeated Western Connecticut, 11-1, in Little East action on Tuesday afternoon. Junior pitcher Connor Davey notched the win (5-2), going seven innings and striking out seven batters. Santerre went 2-for-3 from the leadoff spot, drawing two walks, scoring four times and stealing three bags.

St. Scholastica faced Gustavus Adolphus College on Tuesday. The Saints were able to split the doubleheader, droping the opener 7-1 and winning the second game in 13 innings by a score of 3-2. The Saints were led by a stellar outing from Dallas Miller, in which he pitched nine solid innings striking out 10 Gusties batters along the way. As the game remained tied at 2-2, the Saints caught a break in the top of the 13th inning. Jack Harris doubled with one out to put a man in scoring position for CSS. With one out, Zach Harding delivered the game's biggest hit, an RBI single that scored Harris and gave CSS the lead, 3-2 heading into the Gusties' half of the 13th inning, only three outs away from victory.

Curry College rallied to defeat Roger Williams University 10-7 Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Paolino Field. With the win, Curry improves to 13-21 overall on the season and 3-11 in the CCC. Roger Williams falls to 25-8-1 overall and 9-4-1 in conference play. In the top of the eighth, Curry added an insurance run when Eric Sennott notched yet another run-scoring single. Roger Williams scored once in the bottom of the eighth, but could get no closer as Curry closed out the win. Curry's win was credited to freshman reliever Colman Dyer, who allowed one earned run in 1.1 innings pitched. Classmate Bobby Marshall impressed with a four-inning save, allowing just one earned on four hits with five strikeouts.

Senior Sam Westermeyer threw a complete game to pitch St. Olaf College to a 5-1 victory over conference-leading Bethel University before the Royals took game two by an 11-1 margin on Tuesday afternoon at Mark Almli Field. Facing a team hitting over .340 as a team coming in, Westermeyer held Bethel (28-8, 14-4 MIAC) to just six hits and one run and first year Evan Hammonds drove in two runs with a pair of singles to help St. Olaf (15-15, 9-9 MIAC) win the opener. The Royals bounced back in game two, breaking open a 2-0 game with multi-run innings in the fifth, sixth, and seventh. The split keeps St. Olaf in a tie for the fourth and final spot in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs. St. Scholastica also has a 9-9 mark in conference play after sweeping the Oles on Monday and earning a split at Gustavus on Tuesday, while Saint Mary's (8-8) and Concordia-Moorhead (6-6) are also .500 in conference play with more games remaining.

Junior Jason Goldblum recorded his league-leading sixth save of the season as Union College wrapped up the regular season with a win over non-conference opponent Trinity College, 8-7, Tuesday evening at Shuttleworth Park. Junior Jono Santos was a triple shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a double, a solo homerun, and two runs scored. Senior Justin Cabanas hit his second career homerun, a two run blast, while sophomore Anthony Ruzzo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

No. 16 UW-Stevens Point (28-6, 19-5) finished off the series sweep of visiting UW-Platteville (12-17, 10-12) with a come-from-behind 11-4 victory on Tuesday. Bradley Comer drove in a game-high four runs, including the game-winners in a pivotal six-run fourth inning. He had two hits. Matt Baumann and Aaron Simmons each scored three runs at the top of the UWSP lineup. Simmons also had an RBI. Payton Nelson collected two hits with two runs scored and an RBI. The Pointers fell behind for the fourth time in the series as UWP scored three runs on three hits in the second inning. The Pioneers tacked on another run in the third as UWSP trailed 4-0. In the fourth, UWSP took a 6-4 lead that they would hold in the win.

Mitchell wrapped up the regular season with a 9-2 victory over Immaculata University on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action. In a tune-up for the upcoming NECC Championship, the Mariners climbed out of an early 2-0 hole by scoring nine unanswered runs. Angel Galindez led the charge with four hits and knocked in a pair of runs, and Justin Adorno came off the bench to add three hits. Mitchell used six pitchers in the contest, none for longer than 2.0 innings. Kevin Vining picked up the win in relief, striking out two in 2.0 scoreless frames.

Nicolas Notarangelo laced a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to lift the No. 22 Gulls over Gordon, 4-3, in conference action on Tuesday evening at North Field. In the bottom of the ninth, Joseph Millar jumpstarted Endicott's offense, per usual, this time with a one-out double down the right field line. J.P. Catellier was summoned to run for Millar at second before Caleb Shpur was intentionally walked, making way for Notarangelo's heroics. Notarangelo ripped a one-hopper under the dive of Gordon's first baseman into right field scoring the speedy Catellier with ease from second. Notarangelo also homered in the fifth to tie the game at 3-3, while Millar (bases loaded walk) and Shpur (sac fly to center) accounted for the Gulls' pair of runs scored in the second.

In their last game of the regular season the Alfred State Pioneers (18-20) handled business in Ithaca. They beat the Ithaca College Bombers (25-11) 11-7 at Freeman Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers recorded 11 hits, 11 runs, 11 RBIs and 3 errors. They were led by Owen Lansing (3-for-4 with 2 RBIs), Nick Serce (2-for-5 with 4 RBIs), and Matteo Avallone (2-for-4 with 1 RBI).

No. 10 Salisbury University closed out the road portion of its regular season in style, pounding the DeSales Bulldogs, 14-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Weiland Park. Salisbury blew the doors off in the final three innings, beginning with a four-run seventh. With two on and no out, Stephen Rice snuck an RBI single through the left side. After a walk, Jacob Ference pulled a two-run double down the left field line, then Scott Cameron followed with a run-scoring single to make it 8-1. In the eighth, Kavi Caster worked a one-out walk and took third on a Rice single plus an error. Sky Rahill scored Caster with an RBI groundout, then Ference blasted his second home run of the game, a two-run shot to left to put SU up 11-1. The Sea Gulls plated three more in the ninth on a Patrick Campbell RBI single, Rahill sac fly and Ethan Wentzlaff bases-loaded hit-by-pitch, making it 14-1.

Middlebury (24-10) broke the school record for most runs during a season on Tuesday, splitting a doubleheader at Castleton (11-20-1). The Panthers claimed the first game 11-6, but were edged 5-3 in the nightcap. Middlebury now has 329 runs this season, eclipsing the previous mark of 318 that was set back in 2006. Both teams begin conference tournament play this weekend, with the Panthers hosting Tufts in a best-of-three NESCAC Quarterfinal series beginning on Saturday at noon. Middlebury earned the top seed in the west, while the Jumbos are the fourth seed in the east.

The University of Minnesota Morris started off a hectic week of action on Tuesday with a sweep of North Central University, defeating the Rams by scores of 9-1 and 17-14 at Chizek Field. With the two victories, Minnesota Morris improves to 15-13 (6-7 UMAC). Jacob Schaaf went 8.0 innings and struck out 11 North Central hitters to improve to 4-0 on the season in the first game of the day. After the Rams scored their only run of the game in the top of the second, Minnesota Morris scored eight unanswered to pull away. A 10-1 Minnesota Morris lead dissolved in a few rough middle innings, but the Cougars were able to answer the bell and scored the final four runs of the day to get the come-from-behind win.

The UW-Superior Yellowjackets has picked the right time to get on a roll. After a slow start to the 2022 campaign, first-year head coach TJ Oakes has the Yellowjackets playing their best baseball of the season, as they hit a stretch run that includes eight games in the final week. The Yellowjackets opened the week with a big win in the rain over North Central Sunday, and Tuesday, in arguably the nicest weather they've seen at home, the Yellowjackets finished off a season sweep of Northland, reached the .500 mark for the season, and extended their winning streak. Despite falling behind early, the Yellowjackets came from behind to down the Lumberjacks 10-5 in a contest where they were the visiting team at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

In the team's final game of the 2022 season, WPI ended things on a high note with a 5-4 victory over Brandeis University on Tuesday evening. The Engineers (16-18) were paced by a 2-for-4 effort from Joe Salvon who finished with two RBIs and a run scored in the outing. After giving up a pair of runs in the first inning, starter Andrew Gray locked down for the Engineers finishing with three runs allowed off of seven hits in six innings pitched. Ryan Malkowski stepped into the game in relief pitching the seventh and eighth innings before Noah Pins closed it out for WPI to pick up his fourth save of the year.

Western New England was led by starting pitcher Matt Lauria, who tossed the first eight innings, while CJ Willis smacked his program record 11th home run of the season, breaking a 35-year-old record of the WNE baseball program as WNE defeated Framingham State 11-1. Matt Lauria would finish the 8th inning strong, giving up just two hits, while walking one and striking out six Rams. Demitri Boulas would finish the final inning, striking out all three batters he faced, picking up an 11-1 win for the Golden Bears. Western New England picked up six hits on the afternoon, with Cody Waterbury collecting two of those hits, while picking up three RBIs to lead all batters in the contest. CJ Willis collected his record-breaking 11th home run of the season, a two run shots in the 7th inning to give WNE the 11-1 lead. Matt Lauria went the first eight innings on the afternoon, striking out six Rams in the win.

Augustana (26-9, 9-6) rolled to a 9-0 shutout win over Knox (6-26). The Vikings benefitted from three multiple-run innings and stellar pitching to win their third-consecutive game. Jacob Barker led the Augie offense going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Dylan Grammer started and earned the win for the Vikings going six full innings and striking out nine Knox batters. Anthony Sus also threw a near-perfect three inning with seven K's and just one hit and one walk allowed.
