In the opening round of the NACC Tournament, Concordia (Wisc.) completed an epic comeback over the Eagles of Edgewood in 10 innings, scoring eight of their nine runs in the final three innings to secure the 9-6 victory. Rockford was also an opening day winner.
Huntingdon and William Peace earned their first wins in their season opener. The Hawk prevailed 13-2 over Edgewood and William Peace took a pair from Methodist. Greensboro and Lynchburg also earned wins on Saturday as they split a pair.
Benedictine earned two more wins on Monday, sweeping Edgewood as they build up an at-large resume for the NCAA playoff field. Elsewhere playoff seeding were secured as Muhlenberg won the final spot in the Centennial, keeping out last years champion, Swarthmore.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Edgewood College baseball team started the Gene Cusic Collegaite Classic with a sharp performance on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles scored seven unanswered runs in the first five innings and held off a late University of Dubuque rally for an 8-5 victory at historic Terry Park. Jonathan Roehler had three hits, including his first home run of the season.
Tuesday saw several near perfect pitching performances, led by Edgewood's Trevor Koehn. In nearby Chicago, Dominican needed 14 innings before they walked off for the third time in five games.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – It's not easy for northern baseball teams to start the season sharp, but the Edgewood College baseball team found the mild temperatures in Memphis to their liking. Playing outside for just the second time this season after yesterday's practice, the Eagles pounded out 15 hits in a 7-2 victory over NCAA Division II school Christian Brothers University. Andrew Laurtizen and Marc Ostrowski each had three hits, while Ryan O'Dell hit his first home run of the season.

The Eagles dropped a 4-0 shutout in game one, and then watched the Sabres score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 loss in the nightcap.
VERONA, Wis. – It came 18 days later than scheduled, but the Edgewood College baseball team finally completed their home opener, and did so in style. The Eagles swept past Maranatha Baptist 10-1 and 8-3 in their first full games at Stampfl Field this season. Starting pitchers Cody Pfeifer and Tony Ales earned the victories, surrendering just one earned run on the night.
LISLE, Ill. â The Edgewood College baseball team had their chances to replicate yesterday's sweep of a conference leader, but Aurora University and their pitching staff proved too much on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles battled Aurora ace Drew Gay in the first game, but came up on the short end of a 3-2 decision. The Spartans rolled to a 12-2 victory in the nightcap.
LISLE, Ill. â Don't be deceived by the Edgewood College baseball team's overall record. They've been tested by a killer non-conference schedule and are ready to take aim on the Northern Athletics Conference. The Eagles were in full statement mode on Saturday with a doubleheader sweep over league leader Benedictine University. The Eagles took both games, winning 5-4 and 12-9.
