Pat Coleman has been following Division III football since the early '90s, ever since the likes of Duquesne, Iona and Georgetown played D-III. He's a 1994 graduate of a Division III school -- Catholic University in Washington, D.C. -- and has been in and (now seemingly permanently) out of the Sports Information biz ever since, as both full-time and interim SID at multiple area institutions.
The other schools he applied to besides Catholic? All D-IIIs: St. John's, Macalester and Oberlin.

During the day he manages social media for a global water management company, after working for two decades as a professional journalist: Deputy Managing Editor of Verizon Headlines, copy desk chief at NBCSports.com and for more than a decade at USA Today. He has three grown children: Keaton, Robert and Colleen. He returned to his home state of Minnesota after nearly two decades in the Washington area.
