Alma completed a four-game series sweep of Calvin on Monday afternoon, winning both ends of a doubleheader at Klenk Park. The Scots won by a 6-1 margin in game one, then posted a 4-3 victory in the finale. With the wins, Alma moved into a tie for fourth place in the MIAA with eight games remaining. The Scots picked up their 21st win of the season, becoming the third team in school history to record 20 or more wins in a campaign.

Michael Ilardi slid across the plate to score the winning run on a wild pitch in the 10th inning, and Southwestern defeated Texas-Tyler, 6-5, in the regular-season finale at Rockwell Field. The Pirates will head to the SCAC Championships this weekend in Seguin. Southwestern, which earned the No. 4 seed, will face top-seeded Texas Lutheran in the opening round.
Sophomore second baseman Stanley Rijo went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while senior CJ Angelo and rookie Taylor Donofrio combined for four innings of shutout relief to lead the Western Connecticut State squad to a stunning 7-3 upset victory over visiting fifth-ranked Ramapo at Westside Field.
No. 10-ranked St. Thomas split a non-conference doubleheader at Central (Iowa), winning game one, 8-5, but falling 4-3 in the nightcap. Sophomore Alex Smith ran his hitting streak to 17 games with a 5-for-6 day with a walk at the plate. Smith has reached base in 25 consecutive contests
Senior Johnny Ryan had a pair of doubles and sophomore Tyler Weninger pitched six and a third strong innings to enable the Wentworth to earn a split with Roger Williams in a Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader played at Campanelli Stadium. The Leopards took a 5-3 decision in the nightcap after falling by the same score in the opener.
Gwynedd Mercy defeated Eastern, 27-8, in a non-conference matchup, pounding out 22 hits and drew 16 walks. Jimmy Pisani, Dave Tatoian and Christian Carmolingo each had three hits for the Griffins. Pisani scored three runs knocking in two as well. Tatoian added a season-high four RBI's while Carmolingo knocked in three and scored three times, both career highs. John Wallace capped off the Griffin offense with his grand slam in the eighth inning.
Matt Rothstein pitched seven strong innings as Tufts won its 23rd game with an 8-1 non-conference victory over Eastern Nazarene at Huskins Field. Rothstein allowed four hits and one run with five strikeouts and a walk to earn his second victory of the year. He went six scoreless innings before allowing a run in the seventh. Sophomore Sid Warrenbrand finished up with two 1-2-3 innings of relief for the Jumbos. Matt Moser and Kevin Godin both had a pair of RBIs as Tufts improved to 23-5. Zach Zaino drove home the lone Lions run with a single in the seventh as ENC fell to 15-20.

Costa Tingas notched a three-run triple and Dakota Williams added a two-run single as part of a 10-run third inning that propelled host Daniel Webster past Rivier, 11-2 in the season finale for the Eagles at Harvey Woods Field. Mark Ruiz also picked up two RBI and Colby-Gunter connected for a two-run double in the third inning and Jared Maloney picked up the win on the mound as DWC completed its season 10-22 overall.
After falling behind 8-2 after the first three innings of play, Worcester State completed the comeback and defeated the Becker Hawks 10-9 in the bottom of the 9th inning when Mike Ferrara hit a sacrifice fly to score Mike Powers at the plate with the tying run. Moments later, Brian Bonacquisti scored on a Becker defensive error for the win. Powers went a perfect 5-for-5, while Adam Barry went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.
Springfield closed out its season on a high note as it rallied for a 10-9 victory against MCLA in a 10-inning outing. Springfield's season comes to a close with a 12-21-1 mark, while MCLA dropped to 4-21. Colin King had a tremendous outing, going 4-for-6 while Patrick Coan went 2-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored. Tyler Kelly was outstanding in relief, tossing 3.2 innings of one-hit ball, en route to picking up the victory.
A nine-run ninth inning carried Fredonia past border rival Penn State Behrend, 17-10, in non-conference action. Down 10-8 at the start of the inning, the Blue Devils send 12 batters to the plate and had nine straight batters reach base before an out was recorded.
It was all Suffolk in the first inning as the Rams put seven runs on the board to cruise to a 16-10 victory over Salve Regina in non-conference action at North Field. The Seahawks have had multiple comebacks this season, but the Rams did not rest on their lead as they added one run in the second and two more in the third to sit comfortably with a 10-3 cushion. The score held at 10-3 until the top of the sixth when Suffolk added five more runs for a 15-3 lead that put the game out of reach.
Looking to regain the momentum from earlier in the season, Johnson & Wales had its best offensive performance in two weeks on Monday. The Wildcats out-slugging host Clark, 12-5 to win their second game in a row. With the victory, the Wildcats matched last year's entire win total. Johnson & Wales has won 20 or more games for six-straight seasons
Aaron Chouinard led UMass Dartmouth to a win over Rhode Island College in a key Little East Conference contest, 11-1, at Anchorman Field. The Corsairs' pitching was dominant as senior starter Chouinard was able to retire 16 Anchormen before giving way to Matt Cronin, who pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the ninth, to secure the crucial Little East Conference victory. Chouinard pitched a gem, allowing just one base runner to reach second base following the home run. He went eight complete innings, allowing just one run on four hits, while striking out 10 in the victory.

Haverford picked up a 6-4 Centennial Conference win over Franklin & Marshall at Kannerstein Field. On the mound, Justin Herring threw a perfect first three innings before allowing a single in the fourth. Herring, the team's ERA leader, finished the day with five innings pitched and four strikeouts, allowing just two hits. He also picked up his sixth win of the season and still has not received a losing decision. In relief, George Hatamiya pitched four innings, striking out three and giving up two earned runs.
Devin Springfield was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored as Keene State cruised to an 11-3 win over Western New England at Owl Athletic Complex. Keene State took advantage of four Western New England errors and scored in each of the first four innings. KSC never trailed en route to their second highest run total of the year.
A grand slam by Josh Gall fueled a 10-run fifth inning as Hood picked up an 18-3 victory over visiting Penn St.-Altoona. Cam Esposito went 4-for-6 with two doubles, three runs batted in and three runs scored. Drake Friend was 1-for-1, but walked twice and scored all three times he was on base. Ryan Atkinson started and picked up the win. He allowed two earned runs in five innings, striking out three, and pitching around nine hits and a walk. Jackson Slotterback pitched three scoreless innings of relief and Blake Krisan tossed a perfect ninth.
In a non-conference contest that would fully describe the word slugfest, Allegheny outlasted Mount Union with a 19-17 victory from 23rd Street Field. Allegheny tallied its most runs in a game since April 12, 2008 by bashing 22 hits, with nine of them being of the extra-base variety. On that aforementioned date, the Gators defeated Hiram, 19-3, in the second game of a doubleheader after knocking off the Terriers, 19-6, in the opener.
