Neumann defeated Hanover 11-7 on day two in Florida. IN the game, Eric Bergman had a double in the first and a single in the ninth to collect the 100th hit of his career. James Angellella picked up the win, going 2.1 innings in relief. Bobby Sefick got the save, pitching the final 2.0 innings.
Less than 48 hours after being shutout in back-to-back games in 20-degree Minnesota, the Concordia-Moorhead Cobbers had their bats warm up and exploded for 17 hits and 15 runs in a 9-inning game against Rose-Hulman. Concordia scored nine times in the fifth and sixth innings combined and went on to beat the Fightin' Engineer 15-7 in the opener of the annual southern spring break trip. The highlight of the 17-hit onslaught was a sixth-inning single by super senior Cody Rahman which gave him 100 career hits in his college career. Rahman entered the season with 99 hits in three-plus seasons but was held hitless in the team's season-opening doubleheader against Jamestown on Saturday.
Junior Casey Furnas rapped out four hits and drove in four runs as Massachusetts Maritime swept a non-league doubleheader from Houghton by scores of 8-5 in the opener and 12-6 in the nightcap in the season-opening contests for both teams at Lawnwood Park.
After scoring 25 runs in their season-opener Bethel came back to reality in their U.S. Bank Stadium debut in splitting a nonconference series with UW-Stout. The Royals were shutout by the Blue Devils in the first game, losing on a walk-off single, but battled back with an 8-0 victory in game two.

Junior Michael Boehmer went the distance in game one and struck out seven as the MSOE baseball team earned a doubleheader split with Waynesburg on its second day of the RussMatt Invitational. The Raiders won game one 8-3 behind Boehmer's strong outing but were nipped late in the second game by the Yellow Jackets in a 5-1 loss.
Texas-Dallas continued its torrid start to the season with an 11-3 non-conference win over Southwestern. The Comets will take an eight-game winning streak into the start of American Southwest Conference play this weekend. Texas-Dallas will open the league schedule with a three-game series at Ozarks, starting Friday. Texas-Dallas pounded out 16 hits with the top two hitters in the order going 8-for-9 with six RBI in the lop-sided victory. Lead-off hitter Josh Covey matched the school record for hits, going 5-for-5 with four runs scored and two RBI, while Ryan Burciaga finished the game 3-for-4 with four RBI, three of which came on his second home run of the season.
The Cardinals picked up their third straight win of the young season, working out a seventh-inning jam in beating the Knights 4-3 in game one. In the nightcap, however, it was Wartburg that wiggled out of several late-game jams—scoring two runs in the bottom of the 12th, and two more in the bottom of the 13th in earning the nonconference split with a 7-6 victory.
The Cabrini Cavaliers kicked off their spring break with a series split against, as they took game one behind a dominant pitching performance from Nicholas Gares, but dropped game two by an 8-5 decision. Gares etched his name in the Cavalier record books thanks to his game one performance in which he logged the first complete game in Cabrini history. The 6 foot lefty finished the day firing 7 innings of 4 hit ball, allowing just one unearned run and collecting a career high 11 strikeouts. Game two wasn't kind to the Cavaliers as they recorded a season high six errors. The game was decided in the fourth inning as the Lions outscore Cabrini 5-2.
