Senior shortstop Kosta Drosidis, the reigning GNAC Player of the Year and Anna Maria's all-time leader in career home runs, capped off his resume with another spectacular performance as he ripped out five hits on the day, including a three-run blast to left field to cap off a nine-run first inning to game one. Down one. Bases loaded. Two outs. Full count. Rally time! Rally Miller's two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning completed Hendrix's 4-3 comeback win over Sewanee on the second day of the Birmingham-Southern Pod in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament. The Warriors have won 17 of 25 meetings since joining the league, including six in a row overall and a 2-0 postseason mark, with both wins coming at neutral sites, and advance to the championship round of the pod. Hendrix (29-13), the fifth seed, faces No. 3 Birmingham-Southern. The Panthers were a 9-6 winner in eliminating Oglethorpe and defeated Sewane 9-5. The Warriors' 29 wins are second most in program history and one shy of matching the mark from 2019. Hendrix trailed by three down to its final six outs. The first four batters in the eighth reached base, culminating in two RBIs for Drake Job when he reached on a fielding error by Mike Lewishall, allowing Zach Marriott and Rail Gilliam to score. After an intentional walk to Hogan Ralston to load the bases for the second time in the frame, Miller delivered the seventh pitch of the at-bat to center for his only hit of the game, and Job and Juan Pablo Leon came home to put the Warriors in front for good.

Millsaps's offense was explosive early and late as the No. 6 seed Majors downed No. 7 seed Centre, 16-10 to improve to 2-0 in the SAA Tournament on Friday. Millsaps advanced to Saturday's Berry Pod Finals in the double-elimination format at William R. Bowdoin Field. It was a hitting derby as Millsaps (23-18) was able to post 20 hits, while Centre (17-24) notched 14. Junior Dylan McFarland then doubled to right field to bring Petkovsek around from first base to build a 13-10 cushion. Little continued the momentum with a 2-RBI double bringing Hart and McFarland around to score. The advantage grew to 16-10 when Page singled home Little for the ninth run of the inning. A big game across the board, especially the bat of Cooper Foard and the arm of Grant Manning, powered baseball to a huge 6-4 win over the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Friday at Hart Park. As Foard stepped to the plate in the seventh inning he already brought with him two hits and an RBI. A runner, Cole Minato, stood out at second after a leadoff single awaiting the crack of Foard's bat. He ripped a line drive out into the gap in left center, getting down past the reach of the left fielder bringing Minato home, moving Drew Littwin to third and Foard to second with his arms raised in the air in triumph. At the time the Panthers took a 5-4 lead, which would later be extended as AJ Anzai walked bringing home Littwin. Manning got the win, improving to 6-1, allowing four earned runs, despite the errors, on ten hits striking out nine Sagehens. He was pulled in the ninth after recording one out with 136 pitches thrown. Mike Gorman came in to clean up the damage with a pair of runners on base. The senior struck out the Sagehens leadoff hitter and forced a fielder's choice ground out to end the game en route to his second save of the season.

At the college level, baseball is a spring sport, but in 2022, in the Upper Midwest anyway, it's probably more accurate to consider it a late-winter sport despite the fact the calendar says the season is technically spring. Since returning from its spring trip to Florida, UW-Superior has had to endure its share of the elements, with rain postponing numerous games, while on the days when they do play it has been anything but springlike. Still, as the game count has increased and winter has maintained its grip, the Yellowjackets have started playing their best baseball of the season. Friday afternoon, the Yellowjackets were on top of their game in all phases, riding strong defense, stronger pitching and a thundering offense to a sweep of North Central at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex. Ryan Rodriguez twirled a gem in the opener, going the distance in shutting out the Rams 10-0. In the second game, Riley Harbaugh and Payton Steiner combined on a two-hit shutout as the Yellowjackets completed the sweep with a 24-0 drubbing. With the wins, the Yellowjackets (13-15, 9-4 UMAC) have now won four straight and are 8-2 in their last 10.

Wilson College wrapped up regular season CSAC play with a monster offensive showing at Clarks Summit this afternoon. The Phoenix (27-9, 10-2 CSAC) took the opening game of the doubleheader by a score of 30-0 and finished off the nightcap with a 41-2 victory over the Defenders (1-26, 1-11 CSAC). The Phoenix scored at least one run in each inning with the exception of the 5th inning in the opener as the Phoenix offense pounded out a season high 33 hits, which would get surpassed in game 2. The 41 runs and 38 hits are program records for the Phoenix. Every single position player in the line-up recorded at least 1 hit and all but one of them also recorded at least 1 RBI. 5 Phoenix pitchers combined to allow just 3 hits while striking out 13.

MSOE was back playing at the friendly confines of MSOE Raiders Stadium to take on Dominican just a couple days removed from getting a taste of the big leagues. While miscues cost the Raiders a shot at the series sweep, they came back with a powerful performance in game two to split with the Stars. Errors and walks can kill you and that is exactly what happened to open up the day for MSOE (18-15, 13-5 NACC) as they dropped the opener 5-3 to Dominican. The Raiders needed to rebound in the second game of the day to keep pace with the leaders in the NACC and did just that with a 8-3 win in game two. MSOE got off to a good start with three runs in the bottom of the first and continue to add on. The only Dominican runs came around in the fifth inning but two of the three were unearned. The Red & White added insurance tallies in the seventh and eighth to complete the 8-3 victory. Starter Nolan Vincent went the distance and struck out nine while allowing just one earned run to lower his ERA to a sparkling 2.16.

The day's second game was suspended due to rain with the Knights leading 4-3 in the middle of the fifth inning. Hamline scored both its runs in the top of the third inning, thanks to back-to-back two-out run-scoring singles, the only hits the Pipers would get in the contest. Carleton answered with a three-run rally in the bottom of the frame. The Knights tacked on two more runs in the fourth inning as Small's two-out triple chased home Jack Hommeyer and a throwing error led to the other run. Staff kept the Pipers in check the rest of the way as he did not permit another runner past first base. All told he gave up only two singles and three walks while collecting a career-best seven strikeouts in tossing his second career complete game.
