Pomona-Pitzer won the series over Tufts with a doubleheader win at home with a 5-1 and a 10-4 win on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field. With the wins, the Sagehens move to 10-11 overall this season.

Ohio Northern shutout Ramapo today in the Roadrunners final game at the RussMatt Invitational, 6-0. The Polar Bears improve to 10-5 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 7-5 on the year. Ohio Northern scored two runs in the first inning for a quick 2-0 lead before they added four unearned runs during the remainder of the game for a 6-0 lead. The Polar Bears pitching staff held the Roadrunners to just three hits in the nine inning game while ONU collected ten of their own. Jack Hutchins moved to 3-0 on the mound this season for ONU with five strikeouts, four walks in 5.2 innings of work while he let up just two hits.

UW-La Crosse extended its winning streak to three with a 1-0 victory over Bethel (Minn.) Sunday. The Eagles improve to 4-2 on the season while the Royals drop to 8-4. UWL's Isaiah Katz and Mitchel Fassbender combined on the shutout Sunday, the Eagles' second shutout of the season. Katz started for the Eagles, pitching 6.0 innings, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 12. Fassbender earned the win, going 3.0 innings with two strikeouts. He retired all nine batters he faced in the game. UWL scored the game's only run in the bottom of the eighth. George Seaman walked with one out and went to second on a passed ball with two outs. Ty Hamilton then singled to score Seaman. The Eagles finished with nine hits as Hamilton went 3-for-4 with the lone RBI. Jack Moran went 2-for-4. Bethel (Minn.) was held to four hits in the game with Tommy Friesen leading the Royals as he finished 2-for-4.

With two shutout wins over the Rose-Hulman, UW-Oshkosh moved their record to 8-2 on the 2023 season. LJ Waco took the mound for the Titans in the first game and Ian Kline started for the Engineers. Waco ended his day after the eighth inning. By the time he was relieved, he had struck out nine while allowing eight hits and zero runs, giving him the win (2-0). Logan King came in to relieve Waco for the ninth, forcing three straight outs to end the game with a 4-0 Titan win. Oshkosh recorded their first run-rule game of the season with a 12-0 win in the second game of the day in Terre Haute. Cameron Mulvihill (2-1) recorded three more strikeouts over the following three innings on his way to his second win. He allowed four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in his first complete game and first shutout of the season. Yager was assigned the loss in 3.0 innings of work, allowing seven runs on seven hits including a home run and three walks.

Union opened the season with a split against Bowdoin, winning game one 1-0 before falling 7-2 in the game two, Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Dan Sheeran led Union at the plate, going 2-for-4 in game two with a triple and a run scored. The first-year catching tandem of Cooper Ames and Caleb Miller recorded their first collegiate hits, a single and a homerun, respectively, while classmate JT Psirogianes also registered his first career hit. Behind a complete seven-inning effort on the mound by sophomore Chris Suter, Union took a 1-0 victory in the pitching duel to open the season. Juniors Ryan Cowles and Kobe Mentzer each went 1-for-3 at the plate while Ames went 1-for 2. The lone run of the game came in the third period. With two outs on the board, Cowles singled to right field. Ames drew a walk to put runner on first and second. Mentzer dropped a single in left field to bring Cowles home for the first run of the season. The Polar Bears broke the nightcap open in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs

Brett Federico drove in the lone run in a 1-0 game one win, while Daniel Verrastro drove in three runs to help power St. Lawrence to a 13-9 win in game two to earn a doubleheader sweep over Old Westbury on Sunday afternoon in Davenport, Florida. "We fought well today against a really tough opponent," said head coach Kenny Collins They kept us off balance in the first game with a good outing from their starting pitcher, but we were able to get one across the plate and our pitching staff shut it down. Game two was completely different, and I'm happy with our ability to win both a low-scoring and high-scoring game. We will need to keep relying on our entire roster for these wins." Michael Hutchins earned the win in game one with Michael Watson earning a save after Sam Fosberg's hold on the mound.

One day after Maritime's Shane Sullivan and Brandon Stanley earned complete-game victories over Baruch, it was Matthew Demme's turn on Sunday. Not to be outdone, Demme tossed a five-hit shutout, as the Privateers (9-6) topped Lehman (0-7) by a 5-0 count. Maritime then completed the doubleheader sweep with an 8-1 triumph in game two. After leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the first in game one, the Privateers struck for two runs in the second. That was more offense than Demme needed. The only hit he allowed was a leadoff single by Ranssel Pinedo in the second. Demme (2-1) struck out six and issued just one walk (to Pinedo with two out in the seventh) in his second career one-hit shutout (the first came almost exactly a year ago in a 13-0 victory over Baruch on March 20, 2022). In game two, Maritime scored single runs in the second through fourth innings with the big inning in the fifth netting four more runs as they completed the sweep.

Wilmington swept Hiram in doubleheader at blistery Tewksbury-Delaney Field on Sunday afternoon. The Quakers took game one 1-0 and won the nightcap 8-5. Both games were pre-determined to be seven innings in length due to the sub-40 degree temperature. Game one was a pitcher's dual as Aaron Boster and Jack Conley went toe-to-toe for seven innings. Both teams combined for eight hits with each side tallying a single double. Hiram would get two runners on in the top of the seventh, but once again, a strikeout looking ended the inning and the game. The nightcap would not be a pitcher's duel, though Trent Mendenhall did pitch a quality start. Leading 5-2 after two complete, the hosts tacked on three more runs in just a single hit – a Jared Lammert double down the left field line that scored two runs – in the bottom of the third to put the game out of reach. Mendenhall improved to 2-1 with a quality start of six innings and two earned runs given up. Austin Christman pitched the last inning for the Quakers and gave up one single with a strikeout.

Belhaven opened CCS play by taking the first two of a three-game set at No. 25 Maryville on Saturday, winning 5-2 in Game 1 before shutting out the Scots in Game 2 2-0. The Blazers are now 9-9 (2-0 CCS) and winners of six straight ballgames. The second game of the twin bill proved to be a pitcher's duel throughout. The Blazers had an early scoring chance in the top of the 3rd, but Maryville was able to leave the bases loaded to keep the game scoreless. Belhaven starter Brett Sanchez was dialed in on the bump. It was Sanchez's seventh career shutout and his 15th complete game. In 33 starts in his Belhaven career, the junior All-American is now 22-6 with a 2.18 ERA. After six strong innings from starter Harris Coleman, lefty reliever Logan Goodreau retired the side in order in the 7th and 8th innings to keep the score 5-1 Blazers heading to the 9th. Maryville was able to plate one off of Goodreau in the 9th, but that was all as Belhaven picked up a 5-2 win in the opener. Coleman was credited with the win, allowing just two hits over six innings, while Goodreau earned his first save of the season with three solid innings in relief.

Colby won its second game in as many days in Florida to begin spring break. The Mules topped Washington and Jefferson 5-0 in nine innings to improve to 5-2 on the season. The Presidents fall to 7-3. Colby pitchers Thomas Rioux, Adam Schwartz, and Matthew Scibilio combined for nine scoreless innings, scattering four hits and striking out nine. Rioux was the workhorse earning the start, throwing six innings and striking out eight for his first win of the season. Seven different Colby batters collected a hit on the afternoon. Marcus Forrester had a double and a triple, going 2-3 with a walk. Brady O'Brien hit his fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning, putting the Mules ahead 3-0. Colby out-hit WJC 11-4.

Kalamazoo continued its spring break trip with a neutral site matchup against New Jersey City on Sunday afternoon. The Hornets won convincingly with a 10-0 run-rule victory in seven innings over the Gothic Knights. After posting a zero in the top half of the first inning, the Hornets scored three in the home half for the early lead. To get to 10 runs, the Hornets scored a run in the fourth, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh. Braden Mussat (1-0) picked up the complete game shutout after allowing just three hits in seven innings and striking out three.

Second-ranked Salisbury got back to its winning ways with a 10-4 triumph over the Marymount Saints on Sunday afternoon at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. After Marymount tied the score at 3-3, Salisbury immediately grabbed the lead back in the top of the sixth, tacking runs in the eighth and ninth to make it 10-3. The Saints added one final tally in the bottom of the ninth as Ryo Fabre scored on a Chad Singleton RBI groundout, giving the game its final 10-4 margin. Danny Sheeler finished 2-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBIs. He also took two of the Sea Gulls' eight HBPs for the day. Jimmy Adkins (3-0) finished one out shy of a complete game, giving up four runs (two earned) on seven hits over 8.2 innings for his third win in five starts this season. Adkins walked two and struck out eight on 112 pitches. Robbie Hollenbeck struck out the only batter he faced to finish off the ninth inning.

Piedmont used another explosive offensive day to take the series sweep against Emory with an 11-2 victory Sunday at home. Piedmont scored in double digits in all three games against the Eagles and outscored Emory 33-8 in the three contests. Zach Courtwright earned the win for the Lions moving to 2-1 this season after pitching 5.2 innings. He allowed just two earned runs while striking out four batters. Piedmont had a seven run third inning that left no doubt as the Lions controlled the contest 9-1 after three.

UW-Whitewater run-ruled Grinnell 14-4 in seven innings Sunday evening in the Studer's Blue Wahoo Challenge in Pensacola, Florida. The Warhawks improve to 4-0 with the win. UWW put up 10 runs in the first two innings including registering an eight-run second inning. Grinnell brought in two more over the next two innings to make it 11-4 after 4.5 innings. DeMeyer pushed the gap to eight with a RBI double to left in the bottom of the fifth. Matt Korman had an RBI groundout in the sixth to make it 13-4. In the bottom of the seventh, DeMeyer blasted a leadoff homerun to left field to end the game via the run-rule. DeMeyer was a perfect 4-4 at the plate with four RBi and two runs scored. For the game, the Warhawks tallied four doubles, a triple and two four-baggers.

Oberlin opened their spring break trip by outlasting the Caltech Beavers 15-14 on Sunday afternoon at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona. Oberlin led 12-2 after five innings only to see the lead evaporate over the next two innings as Caltech scored six in the sixth inning and six more in the seventh to grab a 14-13 lead. However, all is well that ends well for the Yeomen as Max Cairo continued to be clutch in key moments as he belted a two-run home run over the wall in deep in centerfield to put Oberlin back out in front in the home half of the eighth for his first-career round-tripper. Senior Alexander Norris would then finish off the job in the top of the ninth, working around a one-out single to earn his first win of the year. Eight of the Yeomen's 12 hits in the game went for extra bases, headlined by sophomore Ethan Hurwitz who went 4-for-5 with a double, home run, four runs scored, and three RBIs.

Ben Kaplin worked a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth inning driving in the winning run in Marietta's 7-6 victory over Ohio Wesleyan on Sundayafternoon in the BSN SPORTS Invitational. The Battling Bishops scored four runs in the top of eighth inning to tie the game, 6-6 as D.J. Neff smacked a two-run home run to right field chasing Pioneer reliever Nick Kumor from the game. In the bottom of the eighth Alex Richter was hit by a pitch loading the bases with nobody out. Kaplin Walked scoring Matthew Busby with the winning run. Jacob Rocky (1-0) struck out the side in the top of the ninth for his first career win. Rocky worked 1.2 innings and allowed two runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Carson started and tossed 5.0 shutout innings striking out seven, walking four and giving up four hits. Jared Bees and Nick Kumor pitched in middle relief before Rocky closed out the game.

Sophomore Johnathan Guerrero stood calmly in the left side of the batter's box in the bottom of the ninth inning on a blustery and chilly Sunday afternoon at Hoy Field. Guerrero was up with two outs and two runners on in a tied 14-14 game between Gallaudet and Penn St.-Berks in the third game of the United East Conference weekend series. Guerrero turned into a hero when he took a Kolbie Reeser (0-2) pitch the opposite way into left field as freshman speedster Brandon Washington raced home from second base to secure the 15-14 walk-off win for the Bison. Guerrero's one swing erased the demons of the previous 18 contests against Penn St.-Berks as the Gallaudet bench sprinted onto the field to mob Guerrero around second base as the Bison celebrated the victory. This was GU's first win over the Nittany Lions in 19 tries, the last win Gallaudet celebrated over Penn St.-Berks came on April 19, 2014, also a one-run game (3-2) on the road. GU's last home win over Penn St.-Berks came a year prior on April 21, 2013, in another one-run game, 6-5. Penn St.-Berks won the opener 3-2.

started the day with a 17-7 loss to Concordia (Wis.) in
seven innings, but erupted for six runs in the 10th inning
for an extra-inning, 12-7 win over Redlands.

Berry handed No. 1 Birmingham Southern its second loss of the season with an 8-4 victory in the last game of a Southern Athletic Association series, totaling 10 hits Sunday afternoon at William R. Bowdoin Field. Jackson Halla had a phenomenal day on the mound, getting the win for the Vikings pitching six innings adding four strikeouts to his tally, giving up nine hits and only allowing three runs. Tyler Cassidy got the save for the Vikings as he came in in the seventh inning, only allowing BSC one run. Garrett Lang ended the day going 2-for-3 and John Poist and John D'Amelio both went 2-for-4.

Elmhurst split their opening pair of games against Bard College on Sunday, on the opening day of the team's annual spring break trip. The Bluejays (4-7) opened the day with a 4-0 victory, powered by a complete-game shutout junior left hander Cole Bozzi. The southpaw pitched seven innings, giving up no runs and only two walks while striking out nine batters. The offense got working early with a pair of RBI from Zach Kolb and Troy Taller in the third inning, while Michael Campanaro and Davis Maifield added RBI in the fourth and sixth innings, respectively, to move Elmhurst past Bard in game one. In game two, a high-scoring matchup went against the Bluejays as Elmhurst dropped an 8-10 decision after tough outings on the mound. Despite a pair of home runs from Freddie March, his first of the year, and Troy Taller, who each led the Bluejays with two and three RBI in the contest, starting pitcher Joseph Kalish recorded just one out and let up four early runs to take the loss in the game. On the day, Taller led the Bluejays at the plate with four total RBI in the doubleheader with a pair of hits.

Senior captain Ryan Boyce collected three hits on the day, including a home run, with five RBIs, while sophomore Christian Chambers also had three hits, including a home run, with two RBIs, as Hampden-Sydney swept an ODAC home doubleheader past Ferrum on Sunday afternoon on Yank Bernier Field at the Ty Cobb Ballpark – Wurdeman Stadium. Senior Owen Tappy gained the complete-game pitching shutout in the 7-0 win in the opener, while senior Justin Woodall earned the mound win in the 7-2 win in the nightcap for the host Tigers (9-8, 3-1) against the visiting Panthers (4-12, 0-4).

Six runs in the first and three in the fifth helped Arcadia to a 10-5 win over Wilkes at Skip Wilson Field on Sunday, completing the three game sweep of the teams' Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom series. Kevin Wheeler drove in three runs while getting his first collegiate base hit. Wilkes scored two runs in the first and fifth innings. Everytime Arcadia responded with runs of their own as they cuised to the win.

Nebraska Wesleyan University won big over North Central (Minn.) 36-1 in Game 1 of their home opener as they set the program record for runs in a game. In the first inning, the Prairie Wolves got their offense started. Kaleb Knox singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. NWU notched ten runs in the sixth inning. Nebraska Wesleyan University smacked four home runs on the day. Evan Kling got the party started with a no doubter in the first inning. Kaleb Knox, John Haimowitz and Dylan Howell all went deep in the third inning. The Prairie Wolves finished with 23 hits on the day. Alex Angele showed timely hitting on Sunday, driving in five on two hits to lead Nebraska Wesleyan University past North Central 16-5. Angele drove in runs on a double in the second, a home run in the third, and a walk in the fifth. "Tyson Romero set the tone again and had a monster day on the mound," said NWU head coach Eric Ignatowski. "It was great to see a bunch of guys get some opportunities, and play well with those opportunities. The team is starting to buy in to the style of baseball I want to play. Their baseball IQ is improving and it was really fun to watch them play today.

No. 9 LaGrange (14-5, 3-0 CCS) completed the three-game sweep of Berea (3-16, 0-3 CCS) behind steady offense capped by a ninth inning explosion as they posted an 11-6 victory in an NCAA Division III baseball game on Sunday. A scoreless first inning would belie what was to come in the second as the teams combined for six runs with Berea coming out with a 4-2 advantage. Single runs from the 4th to the 8th innings gave the Panthers a one run lead, four runs in the ninth put the game out of reach.

No. 4 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace used a late inning offensive surge to pull past crosstown rival Case Western Reserve by a final score of 15-6 on the Fisher Field. BW (12-2) was led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference first baseman Alexis Castillo who went 4-5 hitting two home runs scoring four runs and adding four runs batted in. Senior Academic All-OAC utility Ryan Guggenheim went 2-5 with a three-run homer scoring two runs and driving in five RBIs. Senior All-OAC right-handed pitcher Dawson Gabe picked up the start and went four innings allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits and striking out three batters. Freshman right-handed pitcher Tyler Walker picked up the win after going three innings in relief allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits while striking out a pair.

Coming back to the Chicagoland area after a spring break trip to Florida, North Central (Ill.) used a stellar outing from starting pitcher Ryan Behling to down the Illinois Institute of Technology, 6-2 on a chilly and sunny Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals built their advantage to 3-0 through seven innings. Meanwhile no Scarlet Hawk reached second base until the sixth inning with Ryan Behling continuing his dominance throughout the game. CJ Jensik relieved Behling in the eighth inning. Illinois Tech greeted the new pitcher with a two-run home run to bring themselves in within one run. Cardinals' closer Nolan Shannon entered the game looking for a five-out save and held the Scarlet Hawks to just two runs. Micahel Davis belted a leadoff triple to open the bottom half of the eighth inning, ignighting a three run uprising. Shannon posted a three-up, three-down ninth with two strikeouts as he picked up his second save of the season. In his 8.2 innings pitched this year, Shannon has struck out 11 while not allowing a hit.

Millsaps won two-of-three games, while hosting Hendrix in the Majors' conference home opener. Saturday saw the Majors win 10-4 before falling 10-2 in seven innings. Millsaps recovered to claim Game Three, 6-3 on Sunday. In the win on Sunday, Senior Wil Wood tallied five strikeouts, five walks and held the Warriors to three runs and four hits in 7.0 IP. Junior Will Cook struck out two batters against one hit and one walk in the final two frames.
Abbadessa continued his hot weekend despite the cool weather in Game Three. He batted 2-4 with a run scored, RBI and double. Sophomore Zac Farris went 2-3 with three RBIs, two runs and powered a two-run homer. Additionally, Arceneaux finished 2-3 with a run and walk.
