After their doubleheader was postponed on Sunday, Trine was in action bright and early on Monday morning and collected a 6-0 shutout win over Saint Vincent College. The Thunder (2-2) were led by Cam Nagel (2-0) on the bump with seven innings of work where he allowed just two hits, three walks and fanned a pair. Kade Keele and Cole Decker each threw an inning of relief work to preserve the zero in the Bearcats' (0-1) run column. The hitters also notched 16 hits on the day while Saint Vincent was held to just four in total. Tyler Beyke and Dalton Nikirk had three hits each while Cole Temple reached base in three of his five trips to the dish with a pair of walks and a homerun. The Knights scored twice in the top of the first on a Bruno sac fly scoring Solomon Griffith and a Tommy Ajjan single that brought in Eli Savitt. The Nittany Lions scored six runs to take a 6-2 lead through four. Arcadia took the lead back in the top of the fifth as Griffith, Bruno. Ajjan, Sot, and Pallante all drove in runs. Bruno tacked on with a double in the eighth scoring Griffith. Sot followed with a two-run homer to left-center bringing in Bruno. Penn State Harrisburg crossed the plate once in the eighth, but the Knights Cam Nebel was able to slam the door for his second save. Jack Dovidio earned his second win in relief, allowing two runs on three hits over two innings with two walks and one strikeout.

Junior shortstop Braeden Campbell and fifth-year right fielder Carter Chinn had three-hit days for the Titans. Westminster benefited from eight extra-base hits and five hit batters. After scoring 34 runs in its season-opening doubleheader last week, Gustavus continued to swing a hot bat Monday by sweeping Concordia-Wisconsin 9-4 and 17-4 to start the Tucson Invitational. The Gusties, now 4-0 this season, collected 24 hits in the doubleheader. The Gusties wasted little time scoring in game one. CUW got to within a run but the Gusties had answer, this time scoring four runs in the fifth for an 8-3 advantage. Mitch Casperson earned his second mound victory in as many starts, going four innings with two earned runs and five strikeouts. Jackson Thielen earned a three-inning save, allowing one earned run on three hits with one strikeout. Concordia took a 4-3 lead in the second but that would be their final run of the game as the Gusties scored 14 unanswered runs. Gavin Baker led the plate, batting 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBI. Luke Siegle earned his second win in as many starts, going four innings with four earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts. Noah Meffert, Thomas Ritt, and Christian Ash each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

The Lebonan Valley Dutchmen (2-2) handed the Penn State Behren Lions (2-1) their first loss of the year, 3-1, behind strong pitching from Nathan Clarke, Malachi Duka, Hunter Williams, and Jacob Detwiler as the quartet allowed just one run on six hits with eight strikeouts over nine innings. LVC got on the board in the top of the first inning with a pair of walks to Jace Fetterman and Shane Stossel followed by a Logan Brewer single to right field. Ryan Petrucci also walked to load the bases with two outs, but the Lions were able to get out of the jam without giving up any more runs.

Impressive pitching performances on both sides took precedence on Monday's doubleheader between the Kenyon and Ursinus. The Owls opened the day with a 2-1 win that extended their winning streak to four to start the season, but the Bears bounced back to scratch out a 1-0 game-two triumph. The day's four starting pitchers were on point, combining to throw 24.1 of the total 26 innings pitched over the seven-inning twin bill. The offenses were mostly held in check, combining for three runs and 13 hits in game one before being slowed down even further in a one-run, four-hit second contest. Frank Lynch and Mike Scheller went toe-to-toe in game one, combining to record all but one out, and Lynch landed on top despite narrowly missing a complete game. The junior allowed a leadoff single, but a pickoff sparked a three-up, three-down first frame that ended with a strikeout. Game two was even more of a pitchers' duel, but Ursinus came out on top. David Morgan compiled a complete game and a shutout for his season's first win, throwing 7.0 innings with five strikeouts, two hits, and a walk.

Junior shortstop Jacob LaDuca delivered a two-run walk-off single to push Washington & Jefferson past La Roche by a 4-3 score Monday evening in non-conference action at Ross Memorial Park. Fueled by strong pitching efforts from the team's starters, the nine-inning game was played at a brisk two-hour pace under unseasonably warm conditions for early March in Western Pennsylvania. The Presidents appeared poised to record the shutout victory, after retiring the first two Redhawks hitters of the ninth. However, La Roche recorded consecutive singles to put the tying runs on base. The next Redhawks' hitter sent a single into center field, which was misplayed, allowing both base runners and the hitter to score on the play. The play was a stunner for the Presidents, who now trailed 3-2 entering the bottom of the ninth. That is when a slew of pinch hitters helped the Presidents set up shop. Three-straight Presidents reached base with one out to load the bases. Sophomore Josh Dezenzo singled to right center while junior Nate Hess followed with a single of his own. Andrew Colaizzi then worked a walk to load the bases. That turned the lineup over to LaDuca with one out. Following a pitching change by La Roche, the senior turned on the first pitch and sent it down the left field line for the game winner.

Heidelberg knocked off Saint John's University in 13 innings on Monday, 8-3. Dylan Matusak got the start for Heidelberg. He went six innings, giving up three hits and three runs, and struck out nine. Kroah came in relief for the final seven innings and did not allow a single hit. He fanned six in the win.Thomas Sauer led HU at the plate with three hits and two RBI. Aidan Corrigan added two hits of his own. In St. John's late game, Misericordia defeated Johnnys 2-1, Monday afternoon in Port Charlotte FL. Joey Smith got the start on the mound, pitching six innings and recording five strikeouts. Zach Silfies came in as reliever, totaled four strikeouts in three innings. Mason Woolwine reached first via a walk and then stole second. David Woolley hit a RBI-single to center to bring home Woolwine. Delaware Valley tied up the game at 1-1 in the fourth where the two teams were locked until the eighth inning. Woolwine again reached base via a walk and then advanced to third on a Woolley double. Perilli singled to bring home Woolley and Woolwine. On a ground out to shortstop, Perilli was able to score after stealing second and reaching third on a passed ball. In the ninth, the Blue Jays scored three more runs on two hits to win, 7-1.

Bluffton had a quick turnaround following Sunday's losses and the Beavers put those games behind them with a 4-3 victory over Rockford on Monday. Bluffton improved to 1-2, while the Regents slipped to 2-5 on the season. Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, senior Ezra Deitering singled to open the frame. Following a walk and pickoff that moved Deitering to third, Tyler Fuller laced an RBI base knock. A Matthew Mitchell single and intentional walk to Brandon North loaded the bases for Evan Houseman who did the rest with a walkoff hit for the 4-3 victory.

Illinois College continued action at the 2024 Russ Matt Central Florida Invitational with a single-game against Moravian at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. The Blueboys came back from a four-run deficit and used an eight-run eighth inning to defeat the Greyhounds by the final score of 15-4. In the eighth inning, the Blueboys bats erupted for an eight-run inning that started on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch and ended with a sacrifice fly that scored Niolan Decker. For the game, Connor Hennemann led IC with four hits while tying Schweigert with team-high three runs batted in. On the mound, IC used four different pitchers as Anthony Buonaura was credited with the win. As a pitching staff, IC struck out nine batters led by Buonaura with four and allowed just one run in final six innings.

Neumann got back to .500 as they took down Bridgwater State University in the first game of their annual Spring Break trek to South Carolina. The final score was 12-6. Isaiah Payton was a homer shy of a cycle, going 3 for 4 with a double, a triple, a stolen base, three runs batted in, and two runs scored. Joe Boccio was also 3 for 4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Marcus White was 2 for 3 with a double, two walks, and three runs. Aidan Jackson got the win on the mound, giving up six runs, but only one earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out four. He's now 1-0 on the season. The duo of Vic Mejia and Joe Longo hurled the last four innings and only allowed two base runners while striking out three.
