After four weekends of baseball to begin the year, Covenant visited No. 4 Birmingham-Southern for its first midweek game of the season. Behind strong pitching, timely hitting, and making the Panthers pay for defensive mistakes, the Scots pulled off the 9-4 upset. The biggest swing of the night came from Harrison Adelgren who hit a 3-run home run in the sixth inning to put Covenant up 8-0. A bases-loaded walk and a bases-loaded balk highlighted a four-run seventh inning for the Panthers to get them back in the game at 9-4. Only two BSC batters reached base in the eighth and ninth innings as the Scots got the win. Covenant moves to 3-11 all-time against Birmingham-Southern. The win marks the second-highest ranked team the Scots have beaten in the NCAA era, the other being No. 1 Emory in 2017.

Connor Maryniak threw a complete game as Misericordia edged Marietta, 2-1, in a battle of nationally-ranked teams, Wednesday afternoon in Port Charlotte, Florida. Maryniak struck out nine and scattered nine hits to lead the #13 Cougars over #24 Marietta. The Cougars got all the runs they would need in the second inning and Maryniak made them stand up. Joe Comins reached via hit by pitch to open the top of the second and moved up on a sacrifice and came around with the game's first run when Jared Hoffman reached on an infield error. Hoffman stole second and came home with the eventual winning run on Owen Cordner's two-out triple to right field. Marietta scored its only run in the sixth and Maryniak worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to end the game.

A misty Wednesday evening at North Field saw the No. 2 nationally ranked Endicott overpower Bates, 7-1, thanks to strong pitching and a late offensive rally. Knotted scoreless through five innings, Bates broke the ice in the top of the sixth against Connolly via a fog-ball triple and a delayed steal of home on a throwback to the pitcher's mound. The lone run was the only blemish on the junior's dominant 10-strikeout, two-hit performance, as he successfully retired his next batter by way of the K to end the Bobcats' threat. In the bottom half of the frame, the Gulls responded with a rally of their own. Brendan O'Neil worked a bases-loaded walk to force the go-ahead run to the plate in the form of Danny MacDougall. After Kyan Bagshaw tossed a shutdown seventh and eighth, some plate discipline and small ball led to some insurance runs for the Blue and Green, capped by TJ Liponis and Mulready sacrifice flies. Will Fox spun a lockdown ninth (2 Ks) securing the fourth win of the season for the Gulls.

Junior pitcher Michael Karpinski contributed three no-hit innings out of the pen to shut down Thomas.

On Wednesday afternoon, Oberlin fought through cold, wet, and damp rainy conditions to defeat the visiting Grove City College Wolverines 8-3. It was an impressive performance in all three phases of the game as the Yeomen matched a season-high 13 hits, went error-free, and surrendered just six hits against a Grove City team that won 30 games a season ago and returned nine all-conference players. One of those all-conference returners was Wolverines starting pitcher Evan Umland (2-1) who came into the game with a 2-0 record and a 1.13 ERA with 24 strikeouts and only one walk, but the Yeomen touched him up for eight hits and five runs (two earned) over five innings of work. Eight of the nine Yeomen hitters had at least one hit in the contest.
