St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) made their return to the win column, earning a 13-9 triumph over Penn State-Berks on Wednesday afternoon. Senior catcher Nick Tapio was instrumental at the plate, batting 4-for-6 with a pair of doubles and five RBI while newcomers Brian Sanchez and Anthony Faggiano each had a pair of hits, as many runs scored, and an RBI.

As nerds around the world celebrate Pi Day, Birmingham-Southern and Whitewater gave us a 3-14 score in the first of two games in Pensacola, Alabama. with the designated home team (UWW) getting the win. In game two, UWW completed the sweep with a less appropriate 5-2 score. The Warhawks showed off some big hitting in the first game, winning 14-3 with 17 hits on the day. In the first game, Cade Berendt got the win after pitching 7 innings, only allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. Offensively, Eli Frank led the Warhawks with a double and triple in three at bats. Frank recorded 3 RBIs, with Paden, Scolan, and Hopper all recording 2 RBIs. The second game was a little more defensive, with the Warhawks pitching shining in the win. Jackson Burk finished out the bottom of the ninth with two strikeouts, picking up the first Warhawk save of the year. Jack Hagen would be credited the win, pitching 6.2 innings with 6 strikeouts.

Hope is developing a knack for making the most of its last at-bat. The Flying Dutchmen defeated the University of Southern Maine, 11-2, on Thursday in Davenport, Florida, for their fourth consecutive victory. Hope erupted for seven runs in the top of the ninth inning. The rally marked the fifth consecutive game the Flying Dutchmen produced multiple rims during their last at-bat. Coincidentally, Hope has won four of those games and returns north with a 5-7 overall record. The Flying Dutchmen also have reached double figures in runs in three consecutive games. On Thursday, Hope held a 4-2 lead when the Flying Dutchmen sent 12 batters to the plate during the ninth. The Flying Dutchmen finished with 16 hits to Southern Maine's seven.

Down 6-1 after three innings, Elizabethtown came back to defeat Lebanon Valley, 8-6 on the road, Thursday. The game was scoreless until Elizabethtown scored the first run in the top of the third and Lebanon Valley responmded with six for a 6-1 lead after three. The Blue Jays got back in it in the fifth scoring three to come within two of the Dutchmen. Down one after the sixth, Etown turned things around in the seventh to take a 7-6 lead. The Blue Jays added an insurance run in the eighth as Quinten Perilli led off the inning with a triple to left center. On a fielder's choice, Perilli was able to run home. Zach Silfies earned his second win of the season on the mound while Perilli earned his second save of the season. Perilli went 3-5 with two runs, one RBI, a double, and a triple.

Fourth-ranked Salisbury stretched its winning streak to six games, taking care of the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins, 11-6, on Thursday afternoon at Perry Field. Virginia Wesleyan kept pace with the offensive minded Sea Gulls but Salisbury put the game out of reach in the ninth with a three-spot on RBI base knocks by Trent Waire and Andrew Kell, and Trent Waire. Danny Sheeler finished 2-for-2 with his first home run of the season, two RBIs, three runs scored, two walks, and three stolen bases to lead the Sea Gull bats. Kell homered for the fourth time in four games, ultimately going 2-for-3 with three walks, three runs, and two rib-eyes. Cole Williams (3-1) scooped up the win in relief, tossing an inning and a third scoreless with three walks and one strikeout. Aidan Brinsfield lasted 5.2 innings in a no-decision, giving up four runs on nine hits with two walks and seven punchouts. Nick Sylvester and Thomas Crandall each went yard for the Marlins. Micah Fox finished 2-for-3 with a double, run, and RBI.

Swarthmore ended its spring break trip in style with a 24-9 drubbing of Ithaca College on Thursday. The Garnet banged out 24 hits on the day and scored multiple runs in five different innings. The performance capped off a big week at the plate for Swarthmore, as the Garnet tallied 70 runs over their seven contests in South Carolina. Six different players racked up three hits apiece. Max Beadling drove in a team-high five runs and scored twice. Jett Shue posted three RBI and four runs scored. Brad Johnston also scored four times. Jeremy Jensen was solid in relief, tossing three scoreless frames and allowing just one hit to pick up the victory.

Case Western Reserve graduate student left fielder Franco Alonso hit a pair of home runs, the first two of his collegiate career, and first-year right-handed pitcher Tyler Stillson struck out 10 batters in his first career start, as the Spartans defeated Oswego State 14-6 at Lexington County Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina on Thursday afternoon. Alonso went three-for-five in the game with the two home runs, driving in four runs during the contest and scoring a pair. Senior second baseman Zack Carinci added a three-for-four showing with a run and an RBI, while graduate student catcher Jack Anderson went two-for-four with a double, two runs, and three RBIs. The Spartans registered a season-high 16 hits as a team in the game. Meanwhile, Stillson was brilliant in his first career start, allowing just two earned runs and four runs total over five and two-thirds innings. He surrendered just three hits and three walks to earn the first win of his career, improving to 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA. It also marked the second-straight game that a Spartan has struck out 10 batters after first-year Quinn Saunders struck out 14 batters against Trinity on Tuesday.

Dylan Maria drove in the go-ahead runs and recorded a save as #10 Rowan defeated #7 Wisconsin La Crosse at the RussMatt Invitational, extending the Profs' winning streak to eight. UWL (2-2) took the lead in the first inning on a home run by Joey Olver. But Rowan got that run back in the second inning after Jason Morgan tripled and then scored on a ground out by Karson Harcourt. The teams battled through scoreless innings, with Zach Coluccio keeping the Eagles off the board. Maria came through in the sixth inning with a two-run single to score Tyler Cannon and Sedalis, who had both singled, and put the Profs up 3-1. UWL scored again in the top of the seventh to cut the Rowan lead to 3-2, but Bogart answered with his first home run as a Prof to push the advantage to 4-2. Sedalis knocked in the insurance run Rowan would need as he connected on his fourth home run of the year, to put the Profs ahead, 5-2, heading into the ninth. UWL got two runs off Maria, but the senior was able to close out the game and the win for his first save of the year. Coluccio (2-0) earned the win with Jaxon Casdia pitching the seventh and eighth innings and allowing just one run.

Marietta College won its home opener with a dominating 11-0 shutout victory over Johnson & Wales University Thursday afternoon at Pioneer Park. The Etta Express improves to 6-7 on the season. Johnson & Wales move to 5-3 overall. Three Pioneer pitchers combined to strikeout 14 Wildcats. Trent Valentine (2-0) started and threw 5.0 innings. He scattered four hits, walked two and struck out seven. Forrest Havanis had five strikeouts in 3.0 innings, while Zach Marzetz struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth.

UMass Boston kicked off a three-game stand with Linfield University on Thursday night, slugging their way to a 10-3 victory over the Wildcats. The Beacons scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to the sizeable victory. The Beacons' starting pitcher, Dillon Ryan, allowed a pair of scores in the first three innings, but locked in to shut down the Wildcats' offense. When his day came to a close after the seventh, he was in line for the win with just two runs allowed on four hits and 10 strikeouts to his name. Justin Gouveia did his part to back up Ryan, slugging his third home run of the year in the sixth to stretch the lead to 9-2, bringing home Meagher and himself. First-year pitcher Jack Cangelosi rescued the Beacons from trouble in the eighth inning, coming into the game in a bases loaded jam and striking out the first batter he faced to end the threat.

St. Norbert College picked up a doubleheader sweep of Curry College thanks to a late rally in the nightcap, topping the Colonels 15-10 and 5-4 at Lake Myrtle Park. In the opener the Green Knights banged out 17 hits. Devin Geary went 4-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and four runs batted in. Jaden Holgado was 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Trevor Reinhardt was 3-for-5 with two RBI. Cole Bzdawka earned the win, allowing nine hits and four runs in four innings pitched. Marty Walsh worked the last 1 1/3 innings to pick up a save. In the nightcap, Holgado was 2-for-3 while Devin Geary and Tyler Pigeon were both 2-for-4. Danny Heise earned the win with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing two hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

MSOE played the long ball in a 9-3 win over Bethel (Minn.). They never trailed the Royals to keep things rolling down in the Sunshine State. Blake Hall and Sam Meidenbauer weren't afraid to see how far the balls would travel in the top of the first, each blasting home runs to give MSOE (4-3, 0-0 NACC) a quick 3-0 lead. Chris Barnes got the start on the bump for the Raiders and kept things clean on the scoreboard until the fourt inning when Bethel (5-6, 0-0 MIAC) added a run in each the fourth and fifth inning to the cut their deficit down 3-2. Meidenbauer added another run on a sacrifice fly to bring in Hall that was answered in the bottom half of the inning by the Royals as they game went 4-3 two-thirds through. Hall in the top seventh extended the lead even further to bring Brandon Beauchamp and Kyle Labedz and in the next inning, the Raiders put the Royals away as they took a 9-3 lead to end it.

improving to 6-0 on the season with a 10-1 win over
Minnesota-Morris. The Lions (6-0) jumped out to a 5-0
lead in the second inning and shut down the Cougars (4-7)
the rest of the way out.

Keystone picked up their second straight shutout victory as they defeated Rutgers-Newark 4-0 Thursday morning. Keystone moves to 5-4 with the win. Rutgers-Newark snaps their six-game win streak and fall to 8-4. Chase Boyle went 3-for-4 with an RBI double. Darren Hagan, Bobby Pokorney and Andy Rivas both tallied two hits with Hagan recording an RBI triple. Nate Ewing and Justin Mann contributed with an RBI. Quinn Holt had a solid day on the mound as he went six innings, gave up two hits, no runs, and struck out eight batters. Justice Ramirez went two innings of relief and recorded two strikeouts. Julian Gonzalez pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his first save of the season.

Led by a solid pitching performance from senior Jack Braley (1-0) and a hot start for Lincoln Lubsen against his former team, 18th-ranked Christopher Newport got out to a 6-1 lead and held on for a 9-6 win against Randolph-Macon College (7-4) on Thursday afternoon. Lubsen had a game-high three hits while driving in the first two runs for the Captains in the win for CNU. The junior catcher transferred into Christopher Newport after playing his first two seasons at Randolph-Macon. In his first at-bat against his former team, Lubsen smacked a double off the wall in right center field to plate the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Zach Dzarnowski raced home to score after doubling on a two-out payoff pitch for the Captains to get in scoring position.

St. Joseph's (L.I.) opened up their trip to the Ripken Experience with a pair of wins over Plymouth State College on Thursday afternoon. The Golden Eagles walked off in extra innings with a 7-6 win in game one before claiming a 10-6 victory in game two. In the opener, junior Mike DiFilippo went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and the game-winning RBI and junior Jordan Ramlogan and freshman Rob Page both had two hits and a run scored. Reliever Luke Gacovino was credited with the win allowing just one hit in three innings out of the pen. The nightcap was not as close as Ryan Barlow picked up the win allowing two runs on four hits in three innings of relief. Jordan Ramlogan finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

The Geneva Golden Tornadoes' bats stayed hot Thursday evening, with a mid-game push at the plate in the fifth and sixth innings proving to be the difference against Penn State Beaver in a 10-5 win. With the victory, Geneva's record jumps to 7-3 as they prepare to open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Saturday. Geveva was up big after six, 10-2, but the Golden Tornados offense stalled for the rest of the game, as the Golden Tornadoes managed just two hits in the final three innings. By benefit of the large lead, the men were able to survive three late runs from the Lions to claim the victory by a final score of 10-5.

North Park had their best offensive production of the season against Lakeland on Thursday, short-gaming the Muskies 18-1. The Vikings got their offense going after an error in left field put Joe Perona on second. After a passed ball, Alex DiVito picked up the RBI with a sac to left field. Justin Swanson singled through the left side and scored off a Bobby Bartlett double to center. Scoring continued to be a theme as the Vikings scored in every inning until the 10 run-rule ended the game after seven innings.

Salem State took on the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton before facing the Dutch of Central (Iowa) at Lake Myrtle Park on Thursday. The Vikings swept the doubleheader on Thursday afternoon by shutting out the Kangaroos, 9-0 behind a complete game shutout by freshman Cam Fisher before scoring four runs in the top of the ninth for a 9-7 come-from-behind victory over the Dutch. Salem State is now 4-3 on the season. Ryan Barberi went 4 for 4, driving in four runs, while mark Smith went 2 for 4, driving in two runs. Barberi and Smith accounted for six of the Vikings' nine runs and went a combined 6 for 8 throughout the game. Cam Fisher was the winning pitcher, pitching a complete game, five-hit shutout with five strikeouts. Barberi continued his big day at the plate in the second game, adding a double, home run three RBI and two runs.

With two more wins Thursday, Kenyon finished off its spring break schedule with a superb 12-3 record. The Owls defeated Western Connecticut State by scores of 8-2 and 6-1 at the Lawnwood Complex to cap off the trip with eight wins in their last nine games. throughout the doubleheader, the Owls got stellar pitching. A group of four hurlers held the Wolves to a combined three runs on 14 hits and one walk. The foursome also chalked up a total of 20 strikeouts in 14 innings of work. Junior southpaw Frank Lynch got the game-one start and improved his season record to 3-0 after going four innings, allowing one earned run and fanning six batters. First-year Peyton Hodges came on in the fifth inning and picked up right where Lynch left off. Hodges tossed three innings of one-run ball. He struck out seven and picked up his first collegiate save. In game two, the Kenyon combo on the mound was starter Jackson Niedel and reliever Noah Rosenberg. Niedel put in a little more than five innings of work. He gave up eight hits and a walk, but fanned three and only allowed one run. Rosenberg worked Kenyon out of a jam in the sixth inning and nailed down the final five outs of the game, four by strikeout. The save was the third of his career.

WPI routed visiting New England College, 18-4, in Thursday afternoon action at the New England Baseball Complex. The Engineers improve to 8-1 overall, while the Pilgrims fall to 1-9. WPI was paced by Tommy Burns who drove in five runs on the day, adding a double with two runs scored. Jack Zawacki collected two hits and three RBI, while Zachary Roethlein had two hits and drove in two runs. Joe DiMichele and Jonathan Lattimer each chipped in with two RBI, while Andrew Cash had two hits. Noah Pins picked up the victory on the bump for the Engineers, going five innings, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Luke Frauton tossed three innings in relief, allowing two runs and five hits, while Damon Chase threw a scoreless ninth inning, not allowing a hit. For NEC, Tyler Gendron finished the day 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Bryce Worth collected three hits. Brett Patnode suffered the loss for the Pilgrims, allowing 10 earned runs on seven hits with six walks in three innings of work. He also added two hits at the plate.

Wyatt Thames led the offensive for Willamette on Thursday, blasting a two-run homer in the third inning and scoring from second base on a sacrifice fly in the sixth, as the Bearcats downed Alfred State College (N.Y.), 12-3, at John Lewis Field. Thames was 2 for 3 with three runs and three RBIs. Adam Birt, who hit the sacrifice fly to deep center field to score Thames, finished 2 for 3 with a double, one run, and three RBIs. Willamette upped its record to 11-2 after winning both games in the series with the Pioneers. The Bearcats defeated Alfred State 11-2 on Wednesday. ASC fell to 4-10 on the season. Nate Schikore, the starting pitcher for Willamette, improved to 2-0 with the win. He threw five innings and allowed four hits and three runs -- one earned -- while recording two strikeouts and two walks.

Salve Regina sophomore pitchers Sean Mulligan and Kyle Carozza combined for a two-hitter against Spalding University in a 9-3 Seahawk victory at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida. Tyler Cannoe had three base hits to pace a 13-hit attack for the Seahawks. Cannoe also drove in two runs and scored twice. Brandon Grover (2), Matt D'Amato (2), Tyler Petrosino (2), and Shea Donovan (2) also had multi-hit game for the Seahawks. "Obviously, we are thrilled to win all six games", said Salve Regina head caoch Eric Cirella. "There is something to be said about finding ways to win even if you don't always play well. We showed spurts of being a very good team and now we have to continue to work on our craft and grow as a team and improve as we head into regional and NEWMAC play."

Earlham finished off its Florida spring trip in fine fashion with a 20-17 win over Washington College on Thursday. With a 10 am start time, the contest lasted nearly four hours in the Florida heat. The Quakers built a 14-1 lead only to see the Shoremen plated 12 runs in the bottom of the third after 10 hits and three defensive errors. Washington would go ahead and tied the game at 16 in the bottom of the fifth. Tied at 16, Earlham scored four runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Washington scored its final run in the bottom of the frame.

In a back-and-forth affair, Suffolk used a two-run single from Max Martin to break a 10-all tie in the seventh and had shutout pitching from Patrick Desmond and Gregory Kaufmann to take down Fitchburg State 12-10 in a marathon outing Thursday night at Lake Myrtle Park at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The Falcons flew out to a 5-0 lead in the first as they batted around the order. Four innings later, Suffolk snuck in front with a 10-5 advantage with five frames in the books. Matters evened again in the top of the seventh as the Falcons capitalized on a lead-off double by Maxwell Kell to tie things at 10-all. Max Martin made the most of his first at bat of the day as he barreled a two-run single to right to push the Rams ahead 12-10. Desmond did his job in the eighth and Kauffman escaped a sticky situation with the go-ahead run at the plate in the ninth to lock up the win.

With the Russmatt Invitational slowly wrapping up, St. Scholastica kept its winning ways going this evening, earning a 12-2 victory over Principia College. The Saints trailed heading into the late innings, but behind two five-run innings in the seventh and eighth, pulled away with a 12-2 victory. Jake Schelonka led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run to extend the Saints lead to 8-2. A few batters later, Finley Spicer drove in two more runners on a 2-RBI single, putting CSS up 10-2 over Principia. Capping off the evening for St. Scholastica, two more runners would come across the plate on a wild pitch to secure a 12-2 mercy rule finish, and a victory to extend its winning streak to eight straight games.

Springfield capped its trip to Florida with a thrilling 5-4 win over St. Joseph's College of Maine on Thursday under the lights at the Lake Myrtle Complex. Offensively, Ryan Sorgi powered Springfield with two hits and two RBI in the win. Michael Lepere, Andrew Sweet and Adam Crocker all also posted a pair of hits for the Pride. Matthew Robinson earned the win for the Pride as he tossed the final three frames without surrendering a hit.

Eastern Connecticut State battered three Johnson & Wales pitchers for six home runs and ten total extra-base hits in a 14-2 victory in the opening game of the Marietta College/BSN SPORTS Invitational at Schaly Field. Ten of Eastern's 12 hits went for extra bases, with senior No. 8 hitter Preston Irby and first-year catcher Ian Moser each homering twice, and seniors Mason Balmer and Zach Donahue recording one blast each as the Warriors scored 14 runs for the second straight game. Three Eastern pitchers combined on a seven-hitter with nine strikeouts and just one walk. Making his first start of the year, graduate righty Nathan Furino allowed five hits with five strikeouts and no walks over the first five innings to win his first game in his first decision. In the five-run fifth inning, Eastern tied the 26-year-old program record by ripping three home runs, with Moser and Irby both launching two-run blasts and Donahue registering a two-out solo home run to close out the scoring.

St. Thomas opened up SCAC play with 2 wins against Texas Lutheran this Thursday evening. Game One was a pitchers duel, 2-0, with Landon Murray getting his first complete game shutout of the year, and Game Two featured extra innings with St. Thomas coming out on top 8-7. St. Thomas wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring both of their runs in the first inning. From there, it was a defensive battle, with neither team able to generate much offense. St. Thomas starter Landon Murray was stellar on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout. He allowed just five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters. Texas Lutheran's JT Taylor also pitched well, going the distance and allowing only two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six. In the sixth inning of game two, Texas Lutheran surged ahead, scoring four runs, taking a 7-3 lead. St. Thomas battled back in the eighth inning, capitalizing on errors to tie the game at 7-7. The game remained deadlocked until the 10th inning when St. Thomas capitalized on a Texas Lutheran error, allowing Jarod Smith to reach base and ultimately score the winning run, securing the 8-7 victory.

Beloit put on an offensive clinic this morning in their game against Greenville. The Buccaneers (5-3, 0-0 MWC) scored 11 runs to secure the 11-1 run rule victory over the Panthers (4-11). The offense, defense and pitching clicking on all cylinders and this was evidenced by the opening inning as Aiden Phipps retired the first three batters and the hitters took a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the seventh, with Elijah Love and pinch runner Riley Ponio on first and second, Jack Alport doubled down the left field line to bring in BC's ninth run of the game. The Bucs ended the game early in the bottom of the eighth. Connor Vogel led off the inning with a double to left center and came in to score on a Evan Zenger single to right field. With the bases loaded, Riley Ponio got hit by a pitch to bring in the eleventh and final run of the game.

Johns Hopkins opened up its Spring Break trip to Florida in a big way Thursday afternoon, using a season-best 20 hits to cruise to a 21-2 win over Mitchell College. Kieren Collins secured a well-earned win in Thursday's game to move to 2-0 on the year. In his third start of the season, the graduate student allowed just three hits and two runs — both unearned — in 5.2 innings of work. Hopkins' 20 hits are a season-high, a feat the program achieved on five different occasions last season. Thirteen different players registered a hit, with 16 reaching base safely. Winikur went 3-4 from the leadoff spot for the Blue Jays. Since going 0-3 in the team's season-opener, the graduate student has tallied at least one hit in every game since, batting .385 in that span. With his triple today, Damian Brown has a slugging percentage of 1.714. The sophomore has four hits on the season in seven at-bats, with a pair of home runs and today's triple representing three of them.
