Milton, MA – The Curry Athletic Department announced on Tuesday the hiring of Endy Morales as the new baseball head coach.
"We are absolutely thrilled to announce the hiring of Endy Morales as the new head coach of Curry College Baseball," said Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione. "Coach Morales brings an electric energy and inspiring vision that lit up every step of the hiring process. His unwavering passion for the game and deep commitment to student-athlete success, both on the diamond and in the classroom, make him the perfect fit to lead our program into an exciting new chapter."
Morales comes to Curry after spending the past two years at Dean College as the Baseball Head Coach and Athletic Facilities Manager. While there he helped lead the Bulldogs to their most wins in a season since 2017.
"I am humbled and honored to be named the next head coach for Curry College Baseball," said Morales. "I will work tirelessly to bring my visions and goals for this program to fruition. My journey thus far has been a tremendous learning experience and I am confident I will pour my heart and energy into this program, institution and community. As the hiring process furthered, my interest grew immensely and I am thankful to be a part of the Curry Community that will offer endless support and align with my passion to build relationships."
Morales is also the head coach of the Valley Blue Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He is currently in his first year there, but previously played for the team from 2016 to 2020, the only player in franchise history to spend four summers with the team. The team retired his jersey in 2023. In addition to playing for the Blue Sox for four summers, he also had a successful collegiate career as a pitcher. He spent his freshman year at West Virginia, before transferring to Southern New Hampshire.
Eruzione also commented that "with a rich background as a collegiate player, assistant, and head coach, Coach Morales' experience will elevate our program to new heights. We're confident our student-athletes will thrive under his leadership and connect with his vibrant coaching style. The future of Curry Baseball looks bright!"
Morales, a Holyoke, MA native, was the top RHP recruit in Massachusetts coming out of high school, and the 146th best in the country. After his college career he got his first coaching job at Elms College in 2021. The next year he was an assistant coach at Western New England, followed by a year at Amherst College.
Morales continued by saying, "I want to thank Vinnie Eruzione, Pete Mendel, Keith Robichaud and other members of the Curry community for putting their trust in me and making me feel heard throughout the hiring process. I will not take the opportunity in front of me for granted, my goal is to provide the best college experience for my student-athletes. The Curry baseball program will have strong core values and our identity will make a positive impact on the field, on campus and our community. By building genuine relationships, focusing on development and buying into our culture this program will have a chance to reach new heights"
