The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor earned an 8-6 win over No. 12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Sunday afternoon in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 1-2 while the Stags moved to 2-1. The game was tied 2-2 until the sixth inning when UMHB strung together four runs. The Cru tacked on two more runs in the seventh off a two-RBI home run from Nolan Williams, extending the margin to six runs. The Stags added one more run in the eighth but Jacob Haynes pitched out of a bases-loaded jam to secure the two-run win. Four different Crusaders recorded hits while Jacob Newland and Williams recorded a team-high two runs. Cole Morkovsky earned the start, throwing four innings with three hits and two runs allowed. Zach Hampton threw 3.2 innings in relief, giving up just one earned run while Gavin Oliver tacked on 0.2 innings with Haynes earning the save. The Cru's pitching staff stranded runners in the sixth, eighth and ninth for the win.
Asbury (3-0) exploded for nine runs in the fourth inning to break open a tight game and complete the series sweep over the University of Dallas (0-3), 16-5. Senior accounting major Andrew Billington headlined the Eagles' offense, finishing with four hits, four runs scored, two RBI, a home run and a stolen base. The Eagles established control early with a three-run first inning . After Dallas briefly surged ahead in the second behind Nate Curtis' two-run shot, McNulty's RBI groundout and a run-scoring single from Weaver in the bottom of the frame quickly put Asbury back in front 5-4. Asbury then found their offensive surge in the fourth inning featuring contributions up and down the lineup for a 14-4 lead. On the mound, Asbury limited Dallas to a single run over the final four innings. Quinn Nobles earned the win in relief, working one inning with two hits allowed, one earned run, and a strikeout as part of an Eagles staff that surrendered only five earned runs on 97 total pitches.

Whitworth lost the first two games of the 2026 baseball season to NAIA #21 Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday afternoon at Harris Field. The Pirates fell 15-5 in the opener and 4-1 in the nightcap. In game one, the Pirates led 3-0 and 4-3 before the Warriors broke through with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and pulled away to win by ten. The Pirates carried a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth, thanks to a stellar start on the mound by Dylan Huntsman. The Warriors scored four in the bottom of the sixth in a game scheduled for only seven frames.
Brevard (3-0) used an offensive explosion to surge past JWU Charlotte (0-3), 14-4 in a run-ruled seven-inning contest on Sunday afternoon at Gil Coan Field. The Tornados scored 14 runs on 16 hits, totaling their most single-game hits since Feb. 17, 2025 at Guilford. BC scored multiple runs in the second, fifth, and sixth innings - including a five-run fifth and a four-run sixth. Brevard drew seven walks, recorded 11 RBI, drilled seven extra-base hits, and stole five bases in the all-around team victory. The win gives Brevard its third 3-0 start to a season in the last five years. All told, the Tornados outscored JWU 39-12 over the weekend. Making just his third collegiate start, sophomore first baseman Lucas Woodard broke out with a 4-for-5 performance at the dish, notching two doubles, an inside-the-park home run, four RBI, and two runs scored.
The No. 22 McMurry offensive powerhouse was on full display Sunday morning at The Yard, as they powered past Redlands 14-8, to even their season record at 2-2. Redlands took a brief 5-4 lead and added to their advantage in the fourth inning, scoring three more runs, including a two-run home run, to move ahead 8-4. The War Hawks began their comeback in the fifth, cutting the deficit to 8-7 with a sacrifice fly. The decisive blow came in the top of the sixth inning. After loading the bases, Scout Smith cleared them with a massive four-RBI grand slam to left field, catapulting McMurry back into the lead at 11-8. The War Hawks weren't finished, as Kaden Buske later singled through the right side to drive in two more insurance runs, capping a six-run frame. Noah Solis provided stability on the mound in relief, throwing 4.2 innings and earning the win. Adam Trevino slammed the door in the final innings, striking out four of the six batters he faced to preserve the victory.
Needing a win, the Wesminister (Mo.) Blue Jays called upon star pitcher Jack Page to bring them the inaugural win of the season, a 5-1 win over Hendrix; the sophomore did just that. And then some. Page dominated the Warriors, posting 6 innings of no-hit ball with 11 strikeouts to add onto his already impressive outing. Succeeding Page out of the bullpen was Sophomore Tayden Harlow, who posted two very strong shutout innings of his own. While the pitching staff was the story of the game, the offense came through in key moments, too. This key getaway day win puts their season record at 1-2.
Following up on their emphatic first two victories at the Firehouse Classic this weekend, Huntingdon completed the tournament sweep and moved to a perfect 3-0 to start the season following a 10-0 win over the Berea Mountaineers this afternoon. After a silent first inning for both sides, largely in part due to the excellent pitching of Freshman Charlie Morgan, the Hawks scoring got rolling in the bottom of the second with a four-run frame that quickly established Huntingdon's control. Freshman Charlie Morgan drew the start this afternoon and picked up the first win of his collegiate career, pitching 5 innings while surrendering just 3 hits. Reece Thomas followed Morgan with the first appearance of his young career before Will Argo and Brayden Heaps closed things out.
