| Emory earned its first victory of the 2026 season Tuesday afternoon with an extra inning walk-off win over LaGrange College at Chappell Park in Atlanta. No. 1 UW-Whitewater began its 2026 campaign and title defense with a top-10 win over No. 9 Trinity (Texas). The Warhawks defeated the Tigers 6-2 in the first game of the four-game series. The Warhawks didn't waste any time getting on the scoreboard as Leyton Bowers brought home Aaron Holland and Andy Thies in the top of the first. Trinity University added a run of their own in the bottom of the first frame, but the Warhawks would go on to score 4 unanswered runs to take a 6-1 lead after just five innings. The Tigers added one more run of their own after starting the bottom of the eighth with bases loaded. The Warhawks were able to get a double play for the first two outs, but the runner still scored to bring the score to 6-2 and the end of the scoring. Brady Malkow got the start on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while recording 7 strikeouts. Benjy Tucker replaced Malkow and took the win on the mound, going 2.1 innings with a strikeout & only two base runners.
No. 13 Cortland opened its 2026 season with an 11-1 win over Marietta during the opening day of the D3 Showcase tournament. The game was called after seven innings due the tournament's 10-run rule. Dan Collins and Ryan McLaughlin combined to allow two hits and three walks and struck out eight batters for the Red Dragons. Collins started and gave up one hit - a Zack Molloy solo homer with one out in the bottom of the fourth - and finished with three strikeouts and a walk. McLaughlin pitched the final three and two thirds innings and gave up one hit and two walks with five strikeouts. Cortland's offense exploded for 13 hits and nine walks against the Pioneers, who also were playing their season opener. Tristan Gatchalian went 3-for-4 with two walks and Talon Elkins was 2-for-5 with five RBI and three runs. Elkins hit his first collegiate homer - a grand slam in the top of the seventh for Cortland's final four runs.
George Fox began their 2026 home slate with a four-game series against Centenary, starting the week off with their first win on the season so far, 5-2. It wouldn't take long for several George Fox underclassmen to make an impact. After three outs in four batters for sophomore pitcher Bryan Ho, freshman Jayson Au Hoy stepped up to the plate. In his first plate appearance at Morse Athletic field, Au Hoy sent the ball out to right-field with a 396-yard moon shot to score the first run of the game. Fox continued to build on their lead as Ho pitched a scoreless five innings. It only went up from there for the Bruins as Marasco homered to left center, claiming his first career homer in his first game in Newberg. Down 5-0, Centenary was able to scatter runs in the sixth and eighth innings, but couldn't catch up in time as Fox took the victory with a 5-2 win thanks to a strikeout from freshman pitcher Cole Schmidt.

- Shenandoah pitchers combine for no-hitter
Brandeis rolled past CCNY 13-0 in the spring opener for both teams at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Florida, as part of the RussMatt Invitational on Tuesday. The Judges were led by a tremendous pitching performance from junior Dimitri Skourides and first-year Jackson Herzog, who combined to hold the Beavers to one it over seven innings. They struck out 10 of the 25 batters they faced, walking three. Skourides threw the first five innings, holding CCNY hitless with eight Ks and two walks to earn his first collegiate win. It was his first appearance since the 2024 season and just his fourth career start. Herzog had two strikeouts and a walk in the last two frames. Brandeis blew things open with a five-run second. The Judges sent 10 players to the plate in a six-run fourth inning, scoring six times on seven hits. Junior LF Henry Aronwald had the lone multi-hit game for the Judges. Brandeis picked up its second win by scoring in double digits today as the Judges defeated CCNY, 10-4 on Wednesday.
Illinois Wesleyan picked up its first win of the year in a split against Greenville at Robert E. Smith field Wednesday Feb. 18. The Titan bats powered their way to a game one score of 17-10, while Greenville walked it off, 10-9, in game two. IWU boosts its record to 1-1 early in the campaign, while Greenville bumps to 1-3. A big day at the plate by senior Jack Flagg and sophomore AJ Weller in game one led the way as the Titans scored 14 unanswered runs to come from behind. The duo went back-to-back to start the home run party in the top of the sixth. Part of the offense was 11 runs scored in the seventh, the most in an inning since IWU put up 15 in the third inning April 8, 2017 at Carroll. Illinois Wesleyan took a commanding 9-2 lead into the ninth inning of game two but saw it slip away as Greenville tagged the Titan bullpen for eight runs to complete the comeback and stun IWU.
Chatham (1-0) scored five runs in the second inning of Tuesday evening's season-opening matchup against Muskingum (0-1) and would hold on to clinch a 6-4 victory. Senior Matt Brandt hit a 3-run home run to power the Cougars' big inning, finishing the game with 3 RBIs and a walk. Two Chatham players had multiple hits, as senior Angelo DeLeonardis and Caleb Jones both went 2-4. Junior Devin Fluhmann was 1-3 with a walk at the plate, scoring 2 runs and driving in a run. Junior Nolan Boehm drove in a run on a sacrifice fly and reached base with a walk for the Cougars. On the mound, senior Cason Bennett picked up the win, allowing 3 earned runs on 4 hits in 5 innings with 3 strikeouts, while senior Matt Bamford opened his season with a save by allowing 1 unearned run while striking out 2 in the ninth inning. Junior Gianni Cantini tossed 3 scoreless, hitless innings with 2 Ks to boost Chatham. On Wednesday, Chatham (2-0, 0-0 PAC) faced off against Penn State Greater Allegheny (0-1, 0-0 PSUAC). The Cougars set the single-game run record, winning by a wide margin, 25-3. Offensively, six different Cougars recorded multi-hit games. Matt Brandt finished 4-5 with 3 runs scored and a game-high 5 RBIs. Devin Fluhmann set the table with 4 runs scored, Sean Kelley ended with 4 RBIs, and Zane Pollack picked up his first career hit, adding 3 RBIs. Angelo DeLeonardis set the program record with 4 hit-by-pitches in a game, and the Cougars set a team single-game record with 7.

| It has been 413 days since Head Coach Brett Lindsay stepped foot on campus to build his program from scratch and today his vision turned into reality. For the first time ever, Regent took the field as they traveled to their 757 neighbor Virginia Weslyan. Tyler Wilke and Adam Barrington keyed a seven-run sixth inning with back-to-back home runs for Stevens in a 9-4 win over Hudson County foe Rutgers-Newark from Dobbelaar Field on Tuesday. Evan Carrier wound up retiring six of the eight men he faced, though Stevens could not add to their lead despite two in scoring position with one out in the fourth or the bases loaded and two out in the fifth. Carrier's strong outing kept the Ducks poised to hold the lead heading to the bottom of the sixth before a dropped ball on a tag play with two out led to the tying run scoring for Rutgers-Newark, though things were not tied for long. With one out in the bottom of the inning, Wilke and Barrington launched no-doubt, shots, putting the Ducks up 4-2. With four more runs in in the inning, Wilke capped the monster inning with a pop fly RBI single that fell between a charging right fielder and retreating second baseman. Two seventh inning Rutgers-Newark runs kept things from getting completely out of hand, but Dawson Guerard and Wolf each tossed a scoreless inning to close out the win.
Roanoke exploded offensively to take a 16-0 opening day victory over Greensboro. The Maroons hopped on Greensboro early, scoring seven runs in the first two innings. RC then added three more in the fourth and six in the sixth to put the game out of reach and put the seven inning, 10 run rule into effect. Freshman Nicholas Mavroudis got the win on the mound, the first of his career. He pitched 3.2 scoreless innings and allowed just two hits while striking out one. Nate Prince and Michael Hetzel led the charge offensively with three RBIs each. They were followed up by Jorden Olivera and Wyatt Pence who had two apiece.
Behind clutch pitching and a big showing from Skyler Dark Guilford (2-3) held off North Carolina Wesleyan (0-4,), 10-9 on Wednesday afternoon at Edgar H. McBane Field. Neither starter factored into the pitching decisions in this one. Stratton Barwick (Siler City, N.C.) finished 4.0 innings, allowing a couple earned runs in the first but settling in to permit just a single unearned tally from there. He finished allowing five hits and fanning three in his first start of the season. Working around a couple walks, in 2.0 shutout innings, Reilan Vickrey (Greensboro, N.C.) secured his first collegiate win, improving to 1-0. Nathan Rose (Burlington, N.C.) worked out of trouble, inducing a double play and a groundout to finish his first-career save.
Bridgewater (Va.) captured wins against Hood and SVU at JMU's Eagle Field as the Eagles rode to a 13-4 win over Hood and an 11-4 win over SVU Wednesday. Although Hood broke through early, the Eagles quickly adjusted and powered a heavy offense for the rest of the game. At 10-1, the game was comfortably in BC's control as Hood fought more to earn three more runs. The relief pitching came in for Jaden Isidro after four innings, and held strong. Against Southern Virginia, the Eagles came out firing from the very beginning with first runs on the board. SVU put together a pair of runs in the fourth and fifth to stay competitive. However, the short burst of runs was put to rest as Ashton Smith and Bransen Hensley squared one, helping the Eagles stay in firm control of the lead at 10-2. SVU mustered two more runs in the eighth, but BC safely pulled away as Valbak knocked in the final run with a double and the Eagles took the win at 11-4.
Mary Hardin-Baylor earned a 9-3 win against Schreiner Tuesday evening at Red Murff Field. This win improves UMHB's record to 4-3 on the season while the Mountaineers fall to 3-4. The Mountaineers struck first in the first inning, taking a 1-0 lead on one hit, pushing the lead to 3-0 in the fifth. Cameron Talburt single in the bottom of the fifth and scoring on three wild pitches to give UMHB their first run. UMHB took the 4-3 lead in the next inning and tacked on another three runs in the seventh. Jasson Hemmerling Jr. sealed the 9-3 victory with a two-RBI single to score John Van Huis and Riley Bender. Hemmerling went two for four with three RBI on the night, followed by Easton Cline, who had two hits in four plate appearances with two runs scored. Ryland Anders earned the win on the mound, pitching three complete innings with three strikeouts and no hits.
Waynesburg opened its season with a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference doubleheader against La Roche at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.Va. The Yellow Jackets returned to Waynesburg with a pair of victories over the Redhawks by the final scores of 5-4 and 5-3. Waynesburg (2-0) fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first of game one. That was the last time La Roche (0-2) led in the opener, as the Jackets rebounded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame and then kept just ahead of the Redhawks. Gavin Pratt got the start on the mound and picked up the win after allowing three runs, just one of which was earned, on only one hit and two walks. He struck out four Redhawks over four innings of work. Boring had two of Waynesburg's six hits, while La Roche was held to just three knocks. Game two got off to a rocky start for the Orange and Black after senior starting pitcher Ethan Erhard was touched up for three runs over his first two innings on the bump. The veteran righty settled down starting in the top of the third and didn't allow a run over his final three innings of work. The Jacket bats began the comeback in the bottom of the second and went ahead for good in the bottom of the fourth when Hunter Mamie stole home when Kaden Flambard got himself into a rundown between first and second base.
Centenary (La.) used a six-run sixth inning run away from Millsaps 12-2 on Tuesday in a non-conference game and its home opener at Shehee Stadium. The Diamond Gents (3-5) led the Majors (3-4) by a score of 4-1 after five innings and then scored eight times over the next three innings to cruise to the win. Centenary hits the road this weekend as the Maroon and White will head back to the west coast to face George Fox in a four-game series this weekend in Newberg, Ore.
Belhaven opened its 2026 campaign with a 5-1 victory over MUW Tuesday night at Trustmark Park. Belhaven (1-0) scored in three different innings and received a strong outing from starter Michael Scott to secure the season-opening win and the first victory under new Head Coach, Patrick Robey. MUW (2-2) broke up the shutout bid in the ninth on a solo home run from Bryson Barnes, but Brandon Rhodes closed the door to secure the 5-1 final. Jake McCann paced the Belhaven offense with a 4-for-4 night, finishing with three RBI. JD Weed added two hits, while Thornton scored three of the Blazers' five runs. Belhaven finished with eight hits and did not commit an error defensively in a clean opening night win.
Getting a taste of minor league play, No. 25 East Texas Baptist (4-1) secured a commanding 7-0 victory over the University of St. Thomas Houston (3-4) on Tuesday. ETBU's offense broke open the game with three runs in both the seventh and eighth innings, supported by a strong pitching performance that limited St. Thomas to five hits and no runs. Brody Tewers tallied two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. Raef Wright crossed home plate twice and swiped a base. Nathan Harmon recorded a hit and an RBI, contributing with a sacrifice fly. Connor Massimini added a hit, a run, and drew a walk. Kaden Wharton added a RBI. ETBU's pitching staff delivered a strong performance as Vincent Armellio started the game, pitching one inning without allowing a hit or run, striking out one batter. Garrett Walker followed, pitching one inning, surrendering one hit, but also striking out one. Tyler Bogusz was efficient, pitching 1 2/3 innings with one hit allowed, striking out two as Jaxon Thompson went 0.2 innings. Aiden Leonard contributed two innings, allowing just one hit and Carter May closed with 1 1/3 innings, striking out two batters, and not allowing any hits or runs.
Hardin-Simmons went across town and played clean ball and made McMurry pay for four errors in a 12-5 win in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Driggers Field. The War Hawks scored in the first inning on a walk, wild pitch, stolen base and passed ball but Garrett Keller came in out of the bullpen and got out of the inning in relief of starter Ian Bamburg. HSU came right back to take the lead in the second inning with a five-run outburst. The Cowboys would push the lead to 8-1 in the third. Catcher Ridings hit a towering two-run home run to left field in the fourth inning to push the lead to 10-1. The War Hawks got their first hit of the game in the fourth inning and eventually plated three runs in the inning. Bo Bolton came on in relief to start the fifth inning and worked an inning of scoreless ball to earn the win for the Cowboys.
Having dropped the first two game, Westminster turned things around with a 14-6 win over University of Ozarks. To avoid the sweep, the Blue Jays turned to righty Collyn Wright. While his outing wasn't perfect, giving up three earned runs over the course of two innings, it was the offense and the bullpen that stepped up to get Westmisnter over the hump on the weekend. The Jays scored an astonishing 14 runs, highlighted by a nine run 7 inning. The red-hot Braeden Eye led the way, going 3-4 with a homer and three RBIs. Other notable bats for the Jays were all-conference shortstop Troy Romero (4-5, 2 RBIs) and flashy centerfielder Aden Pecka (3-3). The hot hitting and bullpen dominance all equated to the Blue Jays once again avoiding the sweep and going 1-2 on the weekend. The Blue Jays will head home for a series against Carthage College on Friday, followed by two doubleheaders against Carthage and Grinnell College.
Senior Johnny Bruno blasted a three-run homer over the left-field wall just four batters into the 2026 season and Dickinson used a solid performance on the hill from the quartet of Austin Buzza, Nolan Ross, Ben Myers and Charlie Bien to pick up a season opening 7-3 win over Randolph-Macon at Capital One Park on Monday afternoon. Kevin Schmidt had three hits with Kyle Bailey and Dylan Posencheg getting two. Austin Buzza was given the ball and pitched three innings and was credited with the win as he was followed by a trio of relievers.
