It's been a long time since a regional could not be completed and we had to resort to the NCAA committee picking teams, and it did not happen today.

Cal Lutheran, Mass-Boston, North Central (Ill.), Oswego State and Roanoke all qualified for the Division III World Series on Sunday and will await their first-round opponents for play beginning Friday at Time Warner Cable Field in Grand Chute, Wis.
Concordia-Chicago joined those five, making easy work of UW-La Crosse by defeating the Eagles 17-3, with no second game required. Kevin Coppin and Doug Matthews drove in four runs apiece and Adam Schmitt, making his first appearance of the postseason, went the first five before yielding to Mike Formella for the four-inning save. It'll be the Cougars' first trip to the D-III World Series.
Cortland forced a winner-take-all game in the Mideast Regional. The Red Dragons scored three unearned runs off of Washington & Jefferson's Will Bowser in the eighth inning and held on for the 7-6 win, forcing a winner-take-all game. Cortland took an early lead in the second championship game and was unable to hold it with the Presidents earning the final spot in this years DIII World Series with a 6-3 win. Cortland was able to score late in their previous games but every time they got baserunners, Washington and Jefferson would turn a double play and kill the Red Dragon rally .
On Sunday, the West Regional had to find a new home to finish things out and the Mid-Atlantic has had to do the same on Monday. Apparently, PeoplesBank Stadium turns into a pumpkin somewhere around 4 p.m. on Monday when its regular tenants return for a home series, and when rain delayed today's winner-take-all game between Wheaton (Mass.) and Shenandoah, it was relocated to York College's stadium. The change in venue worked well for the Lyons who moved on to Appleton with the fifth 1-0 win of the regional round.
