After the eliminations, Friday evening at the Division III regionals focused on which teams could get to the coveted 2-0 mark.

Misericordia scored the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and went on to walk off with a 6-5 victory in 10 innings vs. Rowan at the Mid-Atlantic Regional. The Profs were ahead 5-4 entering the bottom of the ninth. Catcher Conor Smith was hit by a pitch with one out and was pinch-run for by Dalton Emerich. Emerich stole second. After a strikeout, the Cougars were down to their final strike when shortstop Sean Boylan sent a 2-2 pitch through the left side to score Emerich and tie the score at five.
Rowan was able to load the bases with two outs in the 10th but left-hander Zach Mason was able to induce a fly out to get out of the jam. Second baseman Alec Iurato singled through the right side with one away in the bottom of the frame. He stole second and went to third on a groundout. Designated hitter/catcher Santo Guinta plated Iurato with an infield single for the win. Miseri improved to 2-0 at the regional and will have company from either Union or Babson.
Eddie Riley greeted reliever Kevin Foulds a triple to right field to give Mass-Boston a lead in the 10th inning and Bryan Kaufman set the Roadrunners down in order in the bottom half to secure a 2-1 win for the Beacons in the winners bracket of the New England Regional. Kaufman got the win with three innings of relief, following seven innings of work from JT Morin. Cory Heitler was their equal through nine innings before being lifted in the 10th. The Beacons improved to 2-0 at the regional.
Evan Faxon threw three innings of no-hit middle relief and the Wooster bats made the most of it as the Scots rallied from a 4-1 deficit and ran away with a 13-5 win vs. Shenandoah in the winners' bracket at the Mideast Regional. Harrison Walls had three hits and four RBI, while Michael Wielansky had another stellar game, going 3-for-6 with two runs scored. The bullpen threw six innings of four-hit ball and allowed one run as Wooster improved to 38-8.
"I'd like to say that we really banged the ball around, but I don't think that would be right" said head coach Tim Pettorini. "I think a lot of those runs were given to us. We put ourselves in position to take advantage of it when they did give it to us."
Fifth-seeded Swarthmore used timely hitting and a complete-game effort from junior Ricky Conti to knock off No. 1 seed Cortland, 3-2, in the first winners’ bracket game of the New York Regional. The Garnet (35-9), who erupted for 11 runs on Thursday against Baldwin Wallace, got all of the offense they would need in the first four innings from Coleson Hebble and Charles Levitt. Hebble doubled and scored in a two-run second inning and after Cortland tied the game at two in the third, Levitt struck with a two-out RBI hit in the fourth. That would be all that Ricky Conti needed. Conti weaved in and out of trouble in his first nine-inning complete game of the season, a 102-pitch outing. He scattered nine hits, walked none and struck out four while stranding 10 Cortland runners on base. Through two games in Auburn, Swarthmore has pounded out 27 hits.
Weather in Illinois meant that only elimination games were played on Friday at the Central Regional. The winners' bracket games between Rhodes and Webster and UT-Tyler and UW-Whitewater were moved to Saturday morning.
