Outfielder Jacob Studley

Batting out of the third spot in the lineup in the Hartford Regional, the success of the Lyons matched his success at the plate. Studley got a hit in each of the Wheaton win and was held hitless in their lone loss.

RHP Josh Roberge

When Wheaton needed a win they turn to Roberge. He was the winning pitcher in the NEWMC final game against Babson and in a must win over Salve Reginal on the final day of the Hartford Regional to advance to the Cregional championship game

Catcher Zach DeMattio

DeMattio was a first team All-NEWMAC selection in 2021. He was also named to the D3baseball.com All-New England list earlier this week.

Reily has been part of thestarting rotation since joining Wheaton in 2018. Reily started and was the winning pitcher in the Hartford Regional championship game.

Scouting report

Wheaton is making fourth appearance in the D-III World Series. In 2006 and 2012, they finished second to Marietta in both years. Thee were 0-2 in 2017.
Wheaton played a quarter of their games against Babson. The two teams split the regular season games and won 2-1 in the NEWMAC championships. The only other loss for the Lyons was in the Hartford Regional to Southern Maine.
At the beginning of the season, Wheaton was receiving votes in the initial D3baseball.com/NCWBA Top 25 and over the season rose to a No 12 ranking in the latest Top 25.
