Morio is part of the youth movement on the Tigers' staff. The sophomore was tabbed as a first team All-SCAC pitcher. Morio only made five starts this season, yet still finished third on the team with 45 innings.

Jackson Roberts DH Brandon Nelson

Nelson is the Tiger's hit man in the designated hitters spot for Trinity. He was awarded first team All-SCAC honors, an upgrade from his second team selection in 2024.

Stats: .407 batting average, 30 runs, .793 slugging percentage

Ricky Conti head shot RHP Jace Clay

Clay also earned ALL-SCAC attention, named to the first team in his first year for Trinity. He was immediately put in the rotation, leading the staff with 11 starts and 66 innings pitched.

Stats: 3.55 ERA, 5-2, 1 save, 61 strikeouts

Scouting report

  • This will be the fourth appearance in the D-III World Series for the Tigers. In 2016 they won the national championship, starting a string of four straing for teams from Region 10.
  • Tim Scannell has been the Tigers' head coach for the last 27 seasons. He is in the top 15 of active coaches in winning percentage among active NCAA Division III coaches
  • Trinity had 13 players earn All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors. Four players were named to the first team as the Tigers were shut out of the major awards given to players. Scannell was tabbed as the SCAC Coach of the Year.
  • Trinity has the fourth best slugging percentage of the World Series field (12th nationally) but is near the bottom of the field in ERA, sixth best  (26th nationally).
