#24 Majors take down #11 Illinois Wesleyan 15-4 in seven

JACKSON, Miss. - The #24 Millsaps Majors showed today why they belong in the top 25, defeating the defending national champions 15-4 with the ten-run rule.

The Majors (13-6) were held only held scoreless in one inning today, getting three in the first, two in the second, two in the fourth, five in the fifth, and three in the third to bury the #11 Titans.

Illinois Wesleyan (4-1) did not get on the board until the fourth inning, but couldn't get more than a pair in any frame.

Josh Ordeneaux finished the day with four RBI on two hits. Jules Roussel had three, Wes Perkins had a pair, Jake Mills, Andrew Evans, Trey Rountree, Drew Leonard, and Will Elmore each added one.

The Majors amassed 18 hits on the night while surrendering nine to the Titans. Illinois Wesleyan did manage to hit the game's only home run in the top of the seventh off Josh Conlee, but Will Hawkins came over from third and got the inning's final two outs to end the game after six and a half.

Josh Riggins collected his fourth win of the year in the start, going three innings allowing two hits and striking out three in 14 batters-faced.

The Majors have one more with the Titans tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. at Twenty Field.
