HITTER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Rodriguez, 1B, Fr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas freshman first baseman Kyle Rodriguez (Round Rock, TX / RRHS) went 7-for-11 with a triple, a double and eight RBIs to fuel a three-game ASC West Division road series sweep of Sul Ross State. Rodriguez, who drove in at least one run each game, also scored three runs, walked once and stole a base for the nationally-ranked Tornados. He had a 4-for-4 game with five RBIs – bringing home at least one run each at-bat in the 7-4 Game 2 win.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Sean Kistler, RHP, Jr., Texas Lutheran
Texas Lutheran junior right-hander Sean Kistler (Conroe, TX / CHS) picked up two saves on the same day against McMurry, allowing just one hit and striking out three batters. Kistler's performance over a combined 2 2/3 innings allowed the Bulldogs to take the ASC West Division series and snap the War Hawks seven-game win streak to start conference play. Kistler's saves came in 2-1 and 6-3 games.
EAST DIVISION
Co-HITTERS OF THE WEEK
Buddy Elmore, 1B, Sr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist senior first baseman Buddy Elmore (Dallas, TX / Dallas Christian) went 7-for-12 with a home run, eight RBIs and six runs scored over three games against nationally-ranked Texas-Tyler. Elmore also walked twice and did not strike out. His homer was a three-run shot in Game 2 that helped fuel a 7-6 win that also snapped an 18-game losing streak to the Patriots. Elmore had at least two hits and drive in a run every game of the series.
Billy Lirely, OF, So., Texas-Tyler
Texas-Tyler sophomore outfielder Billy Lirely (Waynesville, NC / Tuscola HS went 5-for-11 with a home run, a triple, two doubles and six RBIs over a three-game ASC East Division road series against East Texas Baptist. Lirely also scored five runs, walked three times and stole two bases. All but one of his hits went for extra bases. Lirely helped the Patriots set a program-record for runs in a game by hitting a three-run homer and reaching base five times in a 30-14 win.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Scott Trousdale, LHP, Sr., Mississippi College
Mississippi College senior left-hander Scott Trousdale (Florence, AL / Northwest Shoals CC) tossed a complete-game, six-hitter with nine strikeouts to earn the ASC East Division win in a 3-1 game against Louisiana College. He walked just one batter over the nine innings. Trousdale's performance also helped the Choctaws take the three-game series, which was knotted 1-1 entering his start.

HITTERS: Mary Hardin-Baylor C/DH Chris Joshlin went 8-for-15 with three doubles over a 2-1 weekend. . . . Texas Lutheran DH/1B Klaus Bohrmann went 3-for-6 with a grand slam over a 2-1 weekend. . . . Hardin-Simmons 1B Troy Tarrant went 7-for-13 with a home run and five RBIs over three games. . . . Howard Payne OF Jordan Hammontree went 6-for-17 with a homer and seven RBIs over a 3-2 week. . . . McMurry 3B Nick Marsh went 6-for-13 with a home run over a 2-2 week. . . . Texas-Dallas 1B Kyle Guest went 8-for-15 with a home run and 10 RBIs over a 2-2 week. . . . Mississippi College 2B Mike Kerdock went 8-for-13 with four runs scored over a 2-2 week. . . . LeTourneau OF Brent Sellers went 3-for-8 and stole five bases over a 2-1 weekend. . . . Louisiana College OF Adam Broussard went 6-for-11 over three games. . . . Ozarks SS Mitchell Powers had six hits over three games. . . .
PITCHERS: Concordia Texas RHP Jacob Spelbring earned a win and a save against Sul Ross State without allowing a run over four innings. . . . Hardin-Simmons RHP James Simmons tossed a combined four innings of scoreless relief with five strikeouts. . . .Howard Payne RHP Corey Howie tossed a complete-game with eight strikeouts to earn the win in a 5-2 game with Schreiner. . . . Texas-Dallas RHP Marvin Prestridge allowed just two runs and struck out six over a complete game to beat LeTourneau. . . . LeTourneau RHP Ryan Whitehead allowed just one run and worked around nine hits over seven innings to earn the win against UTD. . . . Ozarks RHP Ian Bryan picked up the win after tossing 3 2.3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts against Centenary. . . . Louisiana College LHP Justin Reed struck out five over five innings of work in a no-decision against MC.
