WASHINGTON, D.C. - No. 13/19 Shenandoah University scored at least one run in all but one inning Wednesday in a 18-1 non-league baseball victory at Catholic University of America.

Shenandoah (19-7) scored four runs in the first and never looked back against Catholic (13-8).

SU added one in the second, two each in the second, fifth and seventh through ninth innings to give junior Nick McMahon (4-0) a large cushion..

McMahon tossed his second complete game in seven days by allowing one run on seven hits and four walks.

He struck out seven and faced the minimum in the fourth, fifth and ninth innings.

Shenandoah, the nation's leader in double plays, posted twin killings in the fifth and ninth.

Eight of nine starters had at least one hit with Joey Donofrio and Jake Pendergraft both going 4 for 6 on the day.

Pendergraft drove in three with Tucker Brown leading the way with four RBI on a 2 for 3 afternoon.

Pendergraft also had what proved to be the game-winning RBI with a two-run single to right in the first.

Cory Nelson had a 2 for 5 day that included a two-run dinger in the eighth.

The Hornets played 20 people in the game.

SU is back in action tomorrow with a non-league game at Elizabethtown.
