PASADENA, Calif. - The No. 28 Cal Lutheran Kingsmen scored 11 unanswered runs on the road this afternoon to shut out Caltech in a seven inning league game. With the victory, CLU stretches its win streak to four.

Craig Jacobson made the most of his start at shortstop. Batting in the number two spot, the sophomore was 3-for-5, driving in four runs and scoring twice. He was a homerun shy of the cycle and scored the first and ultimate winning run in the first inning.

In the five run fifth inning, Jacobson connected for a two-RBI double. Nick Boggan and Nick DeLorenzo stroked a back-to-back RBI triple and RBI double, respectively. Both players finished the seven inning affair with two hits. Kevin Eto also collected a pair of base knocks.

Michael Alvarez, the CLU starting centerfielder and leadoff man reached base three times asn scored twice. He stole a pair of bases. Nicho DellaValle drove in two runs with a seventh inning single. He also reached on an error and scored in the fifth and was hit by a pitch and stole second in the sixth.

Byron Minnich earned his fourth win of the season after striking out eight over 5.0 innings. He walked just one and faced one batter of the minimum. Jordan Cox kept the shutout alive over the final two innings of action.   

Cal Lutheran (17-8, 12-4 SCIAC) and Caltech (0-21, 0-16) will meet for a pair on George "Sparky" Anderson Field tomorrow beginning at 11:00 a.m.
