CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The Oswego State (11-15) baseball team went on the offensive on Tuesday as it pounded out 32 hits in the 14 innings of a 12-1 and 10-4 doubleheader sweep at Cazenovia College (9-15).

Scott Buniak (So., Clifton Park, N.Y.) led the way, going a combined 7-for-9 at the plate, including a home run, during the two non-conference victories. Adam Bishop (Jr., Camillus, N.Y.) added a strong pitching performance in game one.

In game one, the Lakers scored in every inning except the first.

Mike Tarnowski (Jr., Dunkirk, N.Y.) had the first of his two RBI in the second inning, putting the Lakers up 1-0.

Mike Stark (Jr., Rochester, N.Y.) and Matt Miller (Jr., Montoursville, Pa.) each had doubles in the third inning as the Lakers pulled away with four more runs.

David Mazzullo (Sr., Rochester, N.Y.) did his part in the fourth inning with a two-RBI single, pushing the lead to 8-0 before the Wildcats finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth.

Bishop gave up just two hits, allowing only one run and striking out three in five innings on the mound to get the win before Dylan Kohlman (Fr., Vestal, N.Y.) allowed just one hit in the final two innings.

Meanwhile, the offense kept adding to the lead. Buniak hit a two-run home run to left center in the top of the fifth, while Mazzullo hit a solo home run in the sixth inning.

Andrew Graff (Fr., Rochester, N.Y.) doubled and scored in the top of the seventh to close out the scoring.

Stark and Buniak each finished 3-for-4 in the contest, while Mazzullo, John Rauseo (Fr., Mattituck, N.Y.) and Ed Charles (Jr., Auburn, N.Y.) all added two hits.

Game two required some late inning offense to finish off the sweep. The Lakers took a 4-0 lead in the third inning, but led just 5-4 after the fifth before pulling away for the win.

Buniak drove in the first run in the sixth inning with a single, while another scored on a wild pitch. Stark added a RBI in the three-run seventh that included a key error by the Wildcats.

The early offense was highlighted by a two-RBI double by Mazzullo in the third inning.

Mazzullo finished the game with three RBI, while Rauseo, Stark, Charles and Eric Scorzafava (Jr., Oneonta, N.Y.) added two hits each along with the 4-for-5 game by Buniak.

Kyle Miller (Jr., Miller Place, N.Y.) was credited with the win after allowing just one hit in two innings and not giving up a walk. Brady Farkas (Sr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) pitched the middle three innings, while Chris Nyman (Jr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) struck out one in the final two innings on the mound.
