The baseball team lost a 4-0 conference contest to the Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday afternoon at MCU Park Brooklyn Cyclones in Coney Island.
Stevens is competing as an associate member in the CUNY Athletic Conference in the sport of baseball.
The two teams were scoreless through five innings, but the visiting Ducks scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning on five hits. Bret Viola had the big hit with a two run single down the left field line.
The Bearcats were limited this afternoon to three hits. They did manage to get two runners on base in the second inning via two out singles by Philip Lopreteand John Yuksekol, but could not score.
Angel Tejedaaccounted for the third hit with a double in the ninth inning but was stranded on second base as the visiting Ducks closed out the win.
The baseball team will return to action on Thursday, April 24 with a 3:30 pm home contest against SUNY-Old Westbury at MCU Park.
