The Falcons (20-17) opened up a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second in game one and never looked back. They added a run in the fourth, three in the fifth, one in the sixth and one more in the eighth.

Concordia's Dylan Gausman held the Warhawks to just four hits in the game, pitching all nine innings and striking out four.

UW-W fell behind 1-0 after one inning in game two but came back to tie it in the third. Steve Chamberlain(Rockford, IL/Guilford) ripped a two-out single to left center to score Matt Wary (Elk Grove, Ill./Elk Grove).

Concordia responded with a run in the fifth to take a 2-1 lead, and extended the cushion to 4-1 with two runs in the sixth.

The Warhawks manufactured a run in the top of the eighth, without recording a hit, to make it 4-2. Dylan Bersch (Pulaski/Pulaski) came on as a pinch runner after Aaron Markley (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) led off the inning with a walk. After a fly out, Bersch stole second, then third, then scored on anAustin Jones (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) ground out to second base.

In an effort to start a rally, Trent Borgardt (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) led off the top of the ninth with a single to right field. Alex Hallenbeck (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) came in as a pinch runner and moved to second when Justin Wegner (Naperville, Ill./Central) was hit by a pitch. A double steal later in the inning forced an error by the Falcon catcher and Hallenbeck scored to tighten the score at 4-3. The rally ended when Concordia relief pitcher Joey Schuman struck out the final two batters of the game.

Wednesday's doubleheader was the first in a four day stretch where the Warhawks will play eight games. UW-W will host St. Norbert on Thursday in a twinbill beginning at 3:30 pm at James B. Miller Stadium in Whitewater. The Warhawks will conclude regular season play when they host a four game series with UW-Stout on Friday and Saturday.
