Junior outfielder Tyler LaFollette (Warsaw, Ind.) led all Manchester University athletes on the 2018 all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball honor squads, released Tuesday, May 15.

LaFollette was a first-team outfielder for Coach Rick Espeset's program. His .354 batting average ranked No. 12 in the conference, while he was among the best 10 in hits (51) and triples (two) offensively. The first team honor was his third adding to second-team selections as a freshman and sophomore.

Senior pitcher Taylor Kopplin (Westport, Ind.) and senior outfielder Eric Knepper (Bremen, Ind.) gained second team all-league merits. Knepper's second second team accolade was buoyed by ranking in the loop's top 15 in home runs (No. 14 – three) and among the first 10 in sacrifice flies (three – No. 9) as part of his statistics, while Kopplin's second overall award, adding to an honorable mention notice after his sophomore campaign, was aided by being in the best 10 in wins (six – No. 3); complete games (three – No. 1); game started (10 – No. 6); innings pitched (68 and a third – No. 6); and strikeouts (57 – No. 5) among his numbers.

Junior outfielder Braxton Riley (Fort Wayne, Ind.) was named to the honorable mention team, and senior catcher Peter Shepherd (Warsaw, Ind.) was the program's Sportsmanship designee.
