The Baruch College Bearcats lost both ends of a doubleheader to Bluffton University (Ohio) on Friday in Fort Myers, Florida.

They lost the first game after a 4 run fifth inning by Bluffton broke a 3-2 Bearcat lead into a 6-3 advantage, which eventually stood as the final score.

JP Ramirez had a big Bearcat hit with a two-run single in the fourth inning. Gerardo Roque also scored in that same inning on an error.

Bluffton scored four runs on four hits in their decisive fifth inning to pull out the win.

In the second game, Bluffton from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference jumped to a 3-1 lead and added five more in the top of the seventh for an 8-1 advantage.

The Bearcats did not go away quietly and rallied to score three runs on RBIs by Liam O'Gara (walk), Roque (fielder's choice), and Conor McCabe (single) to cut the score to 8-4, but could not get any closer to avoid the doubleheader sweep.
