PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team completed their four-game weekend series with a doubleheader at St. John Fisher College on Monday afternoon.

Keuka College (0-4, 0-4 Empire 8) was swept in the conference doubleheader. The Wolves fell in the opener 17-1 and dropped the nightcap 13-9.

The Cardinals got out to a quick lead over the Wolves, scoring four in the bottom of the first. The Wolves attempted to answer in the second as Aaron Simons (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) had a two-out double and advanced to third on an error, but would be stranded there.

St. John Fisher added to their lead with two runs in the third, fourth, and fifth to lead 10-0. The Green and Gold got on the board with an RBI single by Ryan Seales (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs), but the Cardinals responded with seven more runs in the bottom of the inning as they defeated the Wolves 17-1.

Lead Wolf: Ryan Seales reached base all three times for Keuka College. The junior had two of Keuka's four hits and also walked in the game. His RBI single plated the lone run for the Wolves.

St. John Fisher College 13 vs. Keuka College 9 – Game two

Keuka College took the lead in game two as Ryan Seales stayed hot. Seales delivered an RBI double to left centerfield to score Matt Vaccaro (Fayetteville, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius) and give Keuka a 1-0 lead. St. John Fisher tied it with an RBI double of their own in the bottom of the inning and then took a 6-1 lead after two.

The Wolves were back on the board in the third as Tyler Broderick (State College, Pa. / Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy) hit an RBI single. Brady Booher (Rochester, N.Y. / Eastridge) later worked a bases-loaded walk to force in a run to make it 6-3. A strikeout would leave the bases loaded, however.

St. John Fisher extended their lead with a solo home run, but the Wolves kept the game within reach. Tyler Broderick took the Cardinal offering over the left field fence for his first career home run, a two-run shot, to make it 7-5. The Wolves cut it to a one-run game as Aaron Simons scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-6.

The Cardinals extended their lead again. The Wolves rallied late with two runs on a Nick Brown (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) double in the eighth, but that would end the scoring for Keuka as they fell 13-9 in game two.

Lead Wolf: Ryan Seales stayed hot for Keuka with three hits in the game, but the big blasts were delivered from graduate student Tyler Broderick. He had two hits in the game, including his first career home run. Overall, Broderick scored two runs and drove in three in the nightcap.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will now prepare for their next four-game weekend series coming up. Keuka College will host Elmira College on Saturday afternoon at Kuhl Field. The Wolves will then travel to Elmira to complete the series on Sunday.
