LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team dropped a back-and-forth contest to third-seeded Illinois Tech to open the NACC South Division Tournament.

THE DETAILS
Benedictine grabbed an early 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning
Ryan Doubek opened the game by drawing a four-pitch walk
Jack Surin delivered a double to deep center, scoring Doubek from first
Kevin Bushnell walked and Cameron Falk was hit by a pitch to laod the bases with one out
Anthony Lenza recorded a run-scoring single to make the score 2-0
Illinois Tech started the back-and-forth nature by scoring four times in the third
Benedictine evened the game in the fifth when Doubek doubled and scored on a single by Surin
Falk tied the game with a two-out double to center
The visitors scored twice in the top of the sixth to open a 6-4 lead
Benedictine was again able to tie the game in the bottom of the inning
Kyle Mitter walked with two outs and Doubek singled before Surin plated another run with a single
