Keystone Enjoys 11-2 Win at Rosemont to Secure Top Seed

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Keystone College baseball team enjoyed an 11-5 victory at Rosemont College in CSAC action on Friday to secure the top seed in the upcoming CSAC tournament.

The Giants now stand at 25-11 (15-1 CSAC) while the Ravens drop to 15-18 (7-9 CSAC). The two teams will square off in a doubleheader tomorrow at Keystone, starting at 12 p.m. on Senior Day.

Keystone finished with 15 hits and scored five runs in the seventh to secure the win.

Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris) went 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBI, including a two-run homer in the seventh. Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman) finished 3-for-4 at leadoff while Julio Acosta (Elizabeth, N.J./Hudson Catholic) drove in three runs.

Jordan Art (Greenfield Township, Pa./Lakeland) earned the win, tossing five innings with three strikeouts, three groundouts and five flyouts on 73 pitches. 

Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and Logan Lixie (Tamarac, Fla./J.P. Taravella) appeared in relief, combining for five strikeouts, with Lixie earning the save.
