Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (2/24/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-3) welcomed Rosemont College (0-4) to Frank O. Genuardi Legends Baseball Field where an offensive outburst and a brilliant game from senior Frank Ebling (Cherry Hill, N.J.) - 7.0 IP, 0R, 4H, 1BB, 5K) from the Griffins allowed the team to enter the weekend with a thrilling 11-1 victory. Multiple Gwynedd Mercy University players had multiple hits including, sophomore outfielder Chris Nodeland (Hamilton, N.J.) (2-for-4), junior outfielder Cooper Root (Runnemede, N.J.) (2-for-5), senior infielder Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) (2-for-3), junior infielder Ricky Templeton (West Deptford, N.J.) (2-for-4), freshman infielder Ryan Horner (Cinnaminson, N.J.) (2-for-4), and freshman infielder Drew Haines (Hammonton, N.J.) (2-for-5).

Griffin Highlights: 

• Ebling (2-0) made his second start in the 2024 season and just like his first outing he was dominant. He allowed just four hits and a walk while striking out five in seven innings. 
• The Griffins started the party in the fourth inning when sophomore outfielder Sam Junker (Ambler, Pa.) singled through the left side bringing in two runs. Two batters later, Templeton doubled to left center allowing Junker and Root to score. Haines put the exclamation point on the third inning with a ground out to the shortstop bringing Horner home to make the score 5-0.
• In the next inning (4th), Templeton again knocked in two runs to bring his runs-batted-in (RBI) total for four. 
• In the eighth inning, a single from Haines up the middle and two wild pitches allowed two more Griffins to score in an eventual 11-1 final. 

Gwynedd Mercy University will welcome Clarks Summit University to Frank O. Genuardi Legends Baseball Field on Wednesday, March 6, for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.
