All nine starters recorded a hit, and the 10th-ranked College of Wooster made a series of fine defensive plays during the afternoon's 7-3 win over Muskingum at Art Murray Field. Senior Garrett Crum led the Scots with three hits, while Harry Witwer-Dukes upped his hitting streak to 11 games after a 1-for-4 afternoon that also included a game-high two runs and a RBI. Christian Julius improved to 3-0 on the bump. The junior's "staff day" start consisted of 3 2/3 innings of three-hit, shutout baseball.
Kean pounded out 19 runs on 17 hits as every starter collected a hit and RBI on their way to defeating host Stockton by the final of 19-7 on Thursday afternoon in NJAC action. Zachary Marzano led the way with five RBI as he was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a double. Nick Polizzano was 2-for-3 with four runs scored, four walks and an RBI. John Carello was 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI in the leadoff spot while Zach Scire was 2-for-3 with three RBI in the win. Daniel Chiusano earned the win in relief. Chiusano (2-1) tossed five and a third innings allowing just one run and six hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
Clark stranded seven runners through the first three innings and seven Eastern Connecticut State pitchers combined on a nine-hitter with nine strikeouts to carry the Warriors to a 6-3 non-conference win in the first meeting ever between the programs. Every Eastern starter but one contributed to Eastern's (11-9) ten-hit attack, with sophomore DH Jack Rich and freshman second baseman Owen Marica contributing two each, with Marica giving the Warriors the lead for good (2-0) with a two-run, two-out single in the second. Senior righty Cole Ogorzalek won his first game in his first decision with 2 2/3 innings in relief of sophomore lefty starter Jason Federer. Making his first career start, Federer was lifted two batters into the third inning with a runner on second.

Saint Joseph's (Maine) (16-6, 2-2 GNAC) swept a GNAC doubleheader versus Lasell (12-10, 3-3 GNAC) at Larry Mahaney Diamond. The Monks opened with a 4-2 triumph and completed the sweep with a 4-3 nightcap victory. Saint Joseph's is now 22-6 in the history of the series with Lasell. Saint Joseph's freshman starter Matt Poff earned his first collegiate victory after posting a strong performance in game one, allowing one run off six hits with three K's over five frames. Freshman game two starter Johnathan Flynn improved to 3-0 on the season after allowing one run on seven hits with a pair of K's over six innings.
Junior outfielder Shawn Nickles belted a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 10th to lead the eighth-ranked Randolph-Macon to an 8-7 win over NC Wesleyan. The Bishops would plate four in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 7-7. After the Yellow Jackets failed to score in the eighth and ninth. Nickles deposited the ball behind the fence on a 2-0 pitch, his third homer of the season, to give R-MC an 8-7 victory. Senior right-hander Patrick Solomita pitched the final two frames with one hit and four strikeouts to earn the win and raise his record to 2-1.
Nighthawks junior Brett Cabral finished a triple shy of the cycle, batting 4-for-4 with six RBIs and five runs scored, as the Newbury Nighthawks swept a home-and-home series against the Rivier Raiders with an 18-7 victory on Thursday afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex. Cabral's 4-for-4 day included a pair of doubles and a two-run home run. His five runs scored matches a program record for runs in a game. Sophomore Chris Paulino finished 4-for-6 including a double and three RBIs. Junior Brian Cipolla went 3-for-5 and became only the second player in program history to have three doubles in the same game. Raiders freshman Corey Cochran batted 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Junior Brandon Thibault finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Junior Eric Maxfield added a double and RBI.
Nichols defeated Suffolk 8-6 in a non-conference matchup at the East Boston Memorial field in East Boston, Massachusetts. Nichols senior Joe Assenza propelled the Bison with a pair of doubles, and two RBI in the win over the Rams (13-9-1). Freshman Kyle Desjardins (3-for-5) and David Caron (3-for-5) both picked up three hits and combined for three runs scored. Junior Kyle Bouchard contributed to the offense with a pair of RBI to push him to 16 on the season. The Rams were led by junior Tim Brigham (3-for-4) and sophomore Ben Isaak, who drove in a team-high two RBI on a pair of hits and one run scored.
Ramapo won their fourth straight game with a 10-1 win over NJAC rival William Paterson. The Roadrunners improve to 10-8 overall and 2-1 in the NJAC while the Pioneers drop to 14-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Jon Brignoni (2-0) earned the win on the mound for Ramapo. He struck out five, walked one and scattered seven hits in 8.1 innings of work. Jeff Millet faced three batters in the 9th with one strikeout and one walk. Nick Cuba led the Roadrunners at the plate finishing 3-5 with two runs scored while Vincenzo Sita and Nick Camilleri each collected two hits in the game. Camilleri and Kyle Lisa each posted a team high two RBI.
Nationally No. 7 ranked Rowan scored 10 runs over the eighth and ninth innings to break open a close game and defeated the New Jersey City, 13-0, in the first game of a New Jersey Athletic Conference home-and-home series on April 4 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. Rowan (14-5, 2-1 NJAC) got its second consecutive complete-game shutout from senior right-handed pitcher Justin Smith who struck out 10, walked two and allowed just three hits over 107 pitches, improving to 2-1 on the year. He has thrown 18 consecutive scoreless innings. NJCU fell to 10-6 with the loss and 1-2 in the NJAC.
Salve Regina kicked off its five-game homestand by topping the 25th ranked team in the nation, Wheaton (Mass.), by a score of 8-6 in a non-conference match-up at Brother Reynolds Field. With the win Salve Regina now holds a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series, winning five straight since 2002. Junior captain Dylan Ketch led the offensive effort for the Seahawks by hitting his terrible twos as he went four for four at the plate collecting two RBIs, scoring two runs, and hitting two doubles on the day.
Late inning rallies pushed Averett past Hampden-Sydney on the road in non-conference action. Averett (6-24) trailed 3-2 heading into the top half of the eighth inning when it scored three runs to take a 5-3 lead. Senior A.J. Hart tied the game at 3-3 on an RBI ground out to second base scoring senior Corey Wall. Freshman Jason Maggs followed up Hart's tying RBI with two of his own, singling through the left side scoring junior Cody Jones and senior Matt Tuggle to give the Cougars a 5-3 advantage. The Cougars would equal their eighth inning production again in the ninth inning scoring three more runs to push the lead to 8-3. Jones gave Averett a 7-3 edge on a two RBI double down the left field line, scoring Tuggle and Wall, while junior Sawyer Smith singled to left field scoring Jones for the eighth and final run. Hampden-Sydney (11-12-1) got a run back in the bottom of the ninth inning, but sophomore Tyler Butler would slam the door for his first career save striking out three after allowing the run.
