DECORAH, Iowa. (April 17, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan baseball (8-18, 6-14 A-R-C) split a Saturday doubleheader with Luther College (17-7, 13-3 A-R-C). Kaleb Knox successfully hit for the cycle in Saturday's first game, which was a seven-inning game. The last time a Prairie Wolf came near hitting for the cycle was on April 6, 2012.

Nebraska Wesleyan won game one, 12-11, then Luther took game two, 10-3, as the two teams split the overall series 2-2. NWU is the only conference team to win two games in a series against Luther this year.

Game One Recap:
Knox's historic feat started in the first inning with a single. In his next at-bat, he walked then cranked a three-run home run in the top of the fourth inning. Knox recorded a double in the sixth inning then completed the achievement with a two-run triple in the seventh inning. He finished the game 4-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored.

John Hamiowitz and Riley Ward also had a multiple-hit game for NWU. Haimowitz was 3-for-5 at the plate with an RBI. Ward was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Derek Kolbush added a hit and two walks with three runs scored in the Prairie Wolf victory.

Game Two Recap:
In game two, Knox continued to stay hot at the plate as he recorded another multiple-hit game for Nebraska Wesleyan. He was 2-for-5 in the game with three RBIs. He put NWU on the board in the third inning with a double to left field to score Riley Ward and Mason Bennett. Ward singled to right field in the seventh inning to score Paul Georget. In the ninth inning, Knox added his third RBI of the game and eighth of the day with a single to center field to plate Mason Bennett.
