Penn State Abington extended its season-long winning streak to nine straight games after defeating Immaculata University, 15-9, in a non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon at Alverthorpe Park.

Minnesota Morris posted a major victory on Wednesday in the team's long-delayed home opener, taking down the UMAC-leading Crown College Storm by a score of 5-4. Jacob Schaaf went the distance on the mound, striking out 13 Crown hitters and giving up only two earned runs to improve to 3-0 on the season. The win puts Minnesota Morris at 13-13 on the year and 4-7 in the UMAC. In the ninth, David Steffen fought off the hard-throwing righty to earn a lead-off walk and Brady Kenning followed by being hit by a pitch to put two aboard. With the Crown infield pulled in and crashing home plate expecting the bunt, Carlson did indeed bunt, but had the ball pop up over the head of the third baseman and land fair for a single to load the bases with no outs. Back to the top of the order, Pelle came up with a two-strike single to right, driving in Steffen and sending the Cougars pouring out of the dugout to celebrate.

SUNY Brockport picked up another huge Region III non-conference victory as the Golden Eagles completed the regular season sweep of visiting University of Rochester on Wednesday afternoon, 14-1, at the Clark V. Whited Baseball Complex. Brockport has now won 21 straight home games and they are 21-1 at home in the last two seasons. The Golden Eagles have won three straight games and they improved to 26-6 overall on the season. Brockport starting pitcher Colin Pytlak threw a gem as he went 6.2 innings and picked up his career-high fifth win of the season. He did not allow an earned run, allowed just four hits, and struck out seven to lead the way in the victory for Brockport. Nick Lawlor and Keegan Jarvais came on and closed the door for Brockport as they combined for 2.1 innings of hitless work.

FDU-Florham closed its non-conference regular season slate this afternoon with a 6-3 win over crosstown rival Saint Elizabeth University at Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark. Saint Elizabeth jumped out to a 3-1 lead through four innings as the Eagles used a pair of RBI singles and a passed ball for their runs. FDU scored once in the bottom of the first on a bases loaded walk by Vincent Ferrigno. From that point on, FDU scored the remainder of the runs in today's game en route to the 6-3 victory. Zachary Clausen earned the win out of the pen for the Devils, the first of his career on two perfect innings, while Colby Craig picked up his ninth save of the season.

University of Lynchburg mounted a seven-run comeback and beat Pfeiffer 16-7 Wednesday afternoon. Gavin Collin and Avery Neaves both had multi-homer days, and Garrett Jackson slugged his seventh four-bagger of the season. Adam Dofflemyer earned the win with two shutout innings. After Logan Webster gave the Hornets a little cushion in the sixth with an RBI double, Lynchburg blew the game open in the final two frames.

Saint John's (Minn.) split with Saint Mary's (Minn.) on Wednesday in Winona. SJU (19-15, 11-5 MIAC) totaled 11 hits and took advantage of six SMU errors in a 10-1 win in the opener, but batted 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left 10 outs at the plate via strikeout in a 7-5 loss in game two. Junior first baseman Max Nyrop became the 34th Johnnie in program history to reach 100 career hits with a two-out single in the top of the first inning in game two. The Johnnies out-hit the Cardinals (16-17, 8-8 MIAC) 24-13, including three home runs, to raise their season-record total to 44. St. Olaf owns the MIAC record for single-season home runs with 52 in 1988 (40 games).

Stevenson junior Kevin Carricato tallied three RBIs in a 3-3 effort as Stevenson (14-22-1, 9-4 MACC) improved their standing in the MAC Commonwealth with a 5-1 victory over Messiah (18-18, 7-6 MACC) Wednesday afternoon at Starry Baseball Field. With a tight race at the top of the MAC Commonwealth standings, the victory can prove to be a deciding factor for championship seedings. Malcolm Edelin pitched 4.2 innings in relief with 2 hits and four strikeouts on his way to picking up his first win of the season. Tommy Holcomb and Billy McAdam added RBIs to add to Carricato's tally for the Mustangs.

Freshman catcher Lucas Pierce launched a grand slam as the Rhode Island College defeated UMass Dartmouth, 16-6, in Little East action played at Pontarelli Field on Wednesday evening. The Anchormen would plate nine runs in the bottom of the third inning, highlighted by the Pierce grand slam and a two-run homer by sophomore second baseman Cal Parrillo for a 11-1 lead. RIC senior reliever Colin Gauthier picked up win number three (3-0) with a strong performance out of the pen.

After going 3-for-3 with five RBI in game one, Connor Morin capped off the doubleheader as he drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to complete New England College's sweep of Mitchell College, 10-7 and 2-1, in New England Collegiate Conference action Wednesday afternoon. The Pilgrims jumped out to an early lead as JD Normand hit a three-run home run to centerfield in the bottom of the first inning. Connor Morin extended the NEC lead later in the inning as he went deep to right field. New England College pushed their advantage to 8-0 after a four-run second inning. Compared to game one, the second game of the doubleheader was controlled by the starting pitchers. Tyler Daly went 8.0 innings for the Mariners, allowing four hits and striking out six. Shayne Audet got the start for the Pilgrims, as he struck out 11 in 8.0 innings and allowed no runs on two hits. In the bottom of the ninth, NEC capitalized on a Luca Giallongo hit by pitch. Giallongo came around to tie the game on a Philibotte double to the right-center gap. After Tyler Gendron was intentionally walked, Connor Morin came up clutch as he singled up the middle, driving in the game-winning run to clinch the win for the Pilgrims.

Freshman Jaxon Masterson had a two-run triple and a two-run double to lead Hampden-Sydney College to a 12-3 non-conference home win past Mary Baldwin University on Wednesday afternoon on Yank Bernier Field at the Ty Cobb Ballpark – Wurdeman Stadium. Senior Mark Evans and junior captain Jay Beavers each added two hits and one RBI, while freshman Gavin Gregory gained the pitching win for the host Tigers (20-14) against the visiting Squirrels (7-29). It's the first 20-win season, and the most wins in a season, for the program since 2017.

Neumann University won in a back-and-forth slugfest 19-13 on Wednesday afternoon at Eastern University. Anthony Basciano went 4-for-6 with three RBI as the Knights tallied 20 hits in the game. Marty Cortellessa was 3-for-5 with five RBI. Shawn Vega, Ryan Lopez and Alec Silverman all added three hits. With the bases loaded in the top of the ninth and a 16-12 score, Basciano hit a bases-clearing doubled to increase Neumann's lead to 19-12. The Eagles hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the ninth, but the Knights would take the game 19-13.

Illinois College traveled to face Knox College in a single game on Wednesday. The team came away with a win 11-8 in the 10th inning to improve to 13-20 overall and 8-10 in the MWC. IC was led by Cullen McBride going five for six at the plate with three runs and three runs batted in. Kole Lowry got the win at the mound pitching 1.2 innings with four strikeouts. The Blueboys dominated at the plate in the 10th. A single by James Marcinkowski brought in Kellen Blum for the go ahead run. McBride would homer bringing in the run by Marcinkowski to seal the deal for the Blueboys.

For the second straight day Clarkson University put up double figures in runs, beating Rensselaer 11-5 in Liberty League action on Wednesday at Jack Phillips Stadium. The Golden Knights improved to 9-14 overall and 5-7 in conference games, while the Engineers fell to 12-15 overall and 4-9 in the Liberty League play. Clarkson closes out the regular season this weekend with a three-game set at Ithaca College. Both teams did a bullpen-by-committee game with numerous pitchers throwing for both sides. The fifth saw the Engineers score another run with a Dylan Albert double, but the Knights tacked on six in the bottom of the fifth to put the game away. Mike Nee finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored, Joe Pagano went 3-for-5, scoring twice and driving in two.

Northern Vermont University-Lyndon traveled to Colby-Sawyer College for their final non-conference games of the season on a snowy Wednesday afternoon. Colby-Sawyer rallied for a 12-6 win in the first game, then the Hornets rebounded for an 8-5 win in the nightcap.The Hornets move to 9-23 on the season, while the Chargers are now 8-27. Lyndon jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings before the hosts rallied and over took the Hornets. In game two, the Hornets used a five-run fourth inning to take control of the game. Matt Brault picked up the win for the Hornets, striking out four and allowing two hits in two innings of scoreless relief.

Michael Tempel drove in the winning run in walk-off fashion to lift Marywood University to a 7-6 win over Cairn University Wednesday afternoon in Scranton. Tempel singled through the left side to score Joseph Bruno from second for the Pacers' 19th win of the season. Bruno entered as a pinch runner after designated hitter Max Slusser doubled. Marywood improved to 19-13 with the win while Cairn fell to 25-12. Cairn tied things up in the top of the ninth with a run-scoring double and two-run single, forcing Marywood to make the most of their last set of at-bats. Slusser's one-out double to left center gave the Pacers a runner in scoring position, and pinch runner Bruno came around when Tempel drove him home in the next at-bat.

Salve Regina University starting pitcher Dominic Perachi improved to 8-0 on the season and lowered his earned run average to 0.36 with five innings of work as the Seahawks defeated visiting Roger Williams University, 8-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Reynolds Field on Wednesday afternoon. Salve Regina (19-9-2, 10-0-2 CCC) also goes 21 games above .500 in the all-time series with Roger Williams (25-4-1, 9-3-1 CCC) with their 55th win against the Hawks. The two ties in the series came 30 years apart, earlier this month on April 5 at Bristol, R.I., and on April 8, 1992, also on the Hawks' home field.

Penn State Harrisburg took down its second nationally-ranked opponent of the season on Wednesday night, defeating No. 21 Shenandoah 7-5 to extend the team's recent win streak to 13 games. Josh Lantz went 4-for-5 with a game-high three RBI, Chase Smith finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Maddux Ryan was 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Tyler Stabley and Riley Blatt were stout in relief, with the latter earning the nine-out save. The victory was Penn State Harrisburg's second over a nationally-ranked opponent this season. The Lions also defeated No. 5 Salisbury earlier this spring.

With the Brewers trailing 5-8 in the sixth inning, junior Ezra Caspi hit a grand slam to right field to help Vassar to a comeback win against Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday afternoon. It was Caspi's first home run of the season as the Brewers (12-18) went on to win 11-8 over the Dolphins (21-15). The seventh inning was all Vassar, as the Brewers retook the lead for good. After singles from Alex Warren and Bryce Grathwohl, Christian Baaki doubled to left field to bring Warren home. Grathwohl scored on a wild pitch to cut the score to 4-8. Millstein hit a single to let Baaki score. Vassar loaded the bases, and Caspi came up to bat. Caspi went down 0-2 in the count and then knocked the grand slam to right field to give the Brewers a 9-8 lead.

Ferrum College needed extra innings to defeat Emory & Henry in non-conference action, 11-10 this afternoon at Porterfield-DeVault Field. Clayton Micahel hit his first career grand slam and drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th. The Panther defense did the rest to secure the win in extra innings. In the top of the 10th, Clayton Michael smacked a single to center field with two outs to drive in the go-ahead run. Matthew Sheppard struck out two and got a groundout to shut down E&H's comeback and get the win.

Bethel University dropped a pitcher's duel between the league's two best arms, 3-0, before bouncing back with a 15-3 run-rule victory over Carleton Wednesday afternoon at Hargis Park. Keifer Lord pitched a complete game in the Knights win, allowing a single hit and no walks. He struckout eight. The Royals put up a six spot in the fifth on game two where Friesen picked up his second RBI of the game and Winterfield his fourth. Hodgkin notched a double just inside the right field line scoring a pair and bringing his RBI total for the game to three. Matthew Carlsen tallied his sixth long ball of the year as his two-run shot over the right field fence put BU up 15-3.

Down eight to start the seventh, Suffolk put its rally caps on and scored 10 unanswered over the next three innings to triumph over regionally ranked Tufts, 12-10, Wednesday afternoon at Huskins Field. Suffolk sat in an eight-run deficit after the Jumbos hot hands early on. The teams traded runs in the first before the host put up seven in the second and one in the third to hold a 9-1 lead. A two-out one-run single by Marc Birbiglia in the seventh jumped started the Rams late offense, but it was the eighth-inning rally that pulled Suffolk back into the mix and found themselves down by just a pair, 10-8. Blase Cormier worked a base on balls to lead off the ninth. The next two batters went down in order and the Rams' retaliation looked to be just about done. Garret Roberts and Seariac kept the inning alive with a single and walk, respectively, and put all the ducks in the pond, including the go-ahead run on first. Tufts changed things up on the hill as Silas Reed came in to take over for Gavin Brown in the hopes the reliever would put the game away. Ward had other things in mind as the center fielder clipped a two-run single to right off the new wing to tie the game at 10-all. Just like the previous inning, Painter played a factor into the scoring as the freshman designated hitter cleared the bags with a double to right center to send Suffolk in front, 12-10. Now with the advantage in Suffolk's favor, Rossi returned to the rubber to lock up the win and did just that as he retired the side.

Keuka College split their Empire 8 Conference doubleheader at Utica University on Wednesday afternoon. Keuka College (15-15-1, 7-8-1 Empire 8) took the first game over Utica 6-4, but could not mount a comeback in game two as they fell 13-8. Ryan Seales was involved in the offense all game for Keuka College in the opener. The senior went a perfect 3-3 at the plate and also worked a walk in his other plater appearance. He drove in a run and scored one as well. The Keuka College offense started the second game much like the first however, Utica flipped the game in the bottom of the third. The Pioneers scored six runs in the inning to take the lead. They rode the momentum and built a 10-3 lead after six innings.

No. 10 Webster University was back in action this afternoon when they traveled down Big Bend to take on the Washington University Bears for a nonconference matchup. The Gorloks came from behind to defeat the Bears by a final score of 10-8 to improve to 27-5 on the season. With the loss, the Bears fall to 11-22 on the year. Websters bats were rolling in this one as they put together 16 hits in the contest. They got on the board first in the top of the first when Evan Evola grounded out to the shortstop to score Adam Lovell from third and give Webster a 1-0 lead. The Bears answered with a three-run rally in the bottom half of the inning, but two runs from the Gorloks in the top of the fourth tied the score at three. WashU answered with four runs over the next two innings and held a 7-3 lead through six innings of play. The Gorloks bounced back in the top of the third and rallied for three runs thanks to a solo homerun from R.J. LaRocco and a two-run single from Aron Hopp to cut the lead to 7-6. The Bears extended their lead to 8-6 in the bottom of the seventh, but a four-run rally from Webster in the top of the ninth solidified the Gorloks 17th straight win.

Wilmington College came back from a 7-2 deficit after seven complete innings to earn a walk-off victory, 8-7, over Mount St. Joseph University at Tewksbury-Delaney Field on Wednesday evening. The win gives WC a four-game sweep of MSJ on the season. The sixth looked to be the breakthrough inning for the Quakers as they loaded the bases with no outs, but a double play followed by a deep flyout to center field ended the threat with just a single run scored. In the bottom half, Wilmington once again loaded the bases with no outs, but would score more than a run this time around, pulling the hosts within a single run after eight complete. Davis stranded a single in the top of the ninth, setting up the top of Wilmington's order in the bottom half. Shaneyfelt beat out a throw on a slow ball hit to third for an infield single, and after Kelsey put down a sacrifice bunt to move the runner into scoring position, Jared Lammert drew a walk on a full count. Scott singled to left scoring Shaneyfelt and Depa delivered a walk-off hit up the middle as Lammert beat out the throw to home plate.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning Edgewood's Daniel Bentivegna confidently walked up to the plate at Stampfl Field and knocked a single through the right side of the Carroll University defense to plate Cooper Holewinski on a walk-off single. The Eagles rallied for the 6-5 non-conference victory in extra-innings. Kalafut went 3-for-4 for the Eagles offense, adding a run and RBI. Prindle added three hits, a run, and an RBI. Seven other Eagles added a hit, as the offense compiled 13 hits. Max Hoeser added a triple, while Prindle, Kalafut (2), Goodwin, and Kyle Semrad all knocked doubles. - 10 different players pitched for Edgewood College, all combining for 12 strikeouts. Ben Collier, Eric Nelson, Kyle Jungers, and Kalafut each collected two strikeouts. Nick Holland earned the win for the Eagles, striking out one, and only allowing two hits in the final inning.

Brandeis University batted around in three of their six at-bats this evening as the Judges defeated the visiting Bridgewater State University Bears, 18-6, in a non-conference game shortened to seven innings tonight under the lights of Stein Diamond. With the win, the Judges improve to 17-12, while the Bears fall to 23-11. Brandeis sent nine men to the plate in the first inning, scoring three runs, then had 13 batters come to the plate in the eight-run second. They added one in the third and then had nine more come up in the four-run fourth. BSU held the Judges scoreless sin the fifth, but they tacked on one more run in the sixth. The Judges were one hit shy of tying their season-high with 18 hits, as eight players hit safely, 10 scored runs and nine had at least one RBI. Junior LF Sam Nugent (Mansfield, Mass. / Mansfield) hit the first two home runs of his career, going deep to lead off the game and again to start the second inning. He finished 3-for-4 with a walk, four runs scored and three RBI. Junior 3B Brian King (Palos Verde, Calif./Palos Verde) was 5-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and a career-high four RBI. His second double of the night, which drove in a run in the sixth inning, just missed being a home run and giving him the cycle.
