PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE – Roger Stinson resigned as the head baseball coach at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation Dan Kane announced on Monday.
Stinson steps down after six seasons as the Owls' head baseball coach. In January of 2018, the Owls found themselves suddenly without a baseball coach. Stinson stepped in at the drop of a hat and provided stability to the program. Over the next six seasons Stinson would almost double the baseball roster, while also seeing a significant improvement in their competitiveness within the North Atlantic Conference.
"I can not thank Coach Stinson enough for all he has done, not only for the baseball program but the entire department," said Kane. "We wish Roger the best in his future endeavors and will always be grateful for the hard work and dedication he has shown over the past six years."
