It was an afternoon to remember for freshman Ethan George who collected four hits, three of them for extra bases, and driving in eight runs for Guilford who bested Greensboro College in a slugfest, 23-7 on Tuesday afternoon at McBane Field. With the win, Guilford wins their fourth-straight against their crosstown rivals, including the last two matchups by a combined score of 47-10, and improve to 5-6 on the season. The Pride, meanwhile, fall to 9-3. For George, his eight RBI's put him in rarified air for Guilford as just one of three players, and the only freshman, since 1999 when online records begin to drive in that many runs in a single game. The last to do it of any age was Corey Wallace '14 who plated eight runs against Virginia Wesleyan on March 1, 2014. He finished 4-of-6 and a triple shy of the cycle with two doubles while also launching the first home run of his career, while scoring twice.

No 12. Lynchburg swept Wittenberg in two, seven-inning games on Tuesday. Lynchburg won the first game 6-3 and scored in all six half innings during a 13-10 win in Game 2. Dominic Rowlands earned the win as Lynchburg took the lead during his outing in the third. It was a four-run inning fueled by a three-run shot to left from Eric Hiett and a solo slam to right from Benton Jones in back-to-back at-bats. Jones was 1-1 in the contest with a sacrifice fly in the sixth and two walks. Mason McDowell earned the final five outs of the game for his second save of the season. He struck out one, only allowed one hit, and stranded three. Lynchburg used seven pitchers in a back-and-forth affair in Game 2 that featured 23 runs, 24 hits, and two grand slams. Riley O'Donovan hit Lynchburg's four-run shot in the third after previously homering in the second. It was his first-career two-homer game.

Sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins hosted Rutgers-Camden in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon, holding off a ninth-inning rally to beat the Scarlet Raptors 4-3. The game remained level through the seventh in what turned into a pitcher's duel between the Scarlet Raptors' (5-2) Daniel Robeson and Hopkins' Kieren Collins before the Blue Jays finally broke through in the bottom of the eighth. A single — the lone hit Savedoff gave up in his outing — made it 4-3 before the junior fanned his fourth batter of the night to secure the win.

The Cru pitching staff held the Tigers to just two hits with no earned runs. UMHB recorded ten hits in the contest, led by Talburt with three.

Fresh off of a 6-2 win over Waldorf yesterday, the Wheaton (Ill.) Thunder returned to the field in Arizona this morning to continue its Spring Break schedule with the first of two matchups against Gustavus Adolphus College. Wheaton plated nine runs in the final four innings of Tuesday's high-scoring affair to secure an 11-9 win and hand the Golden Gusties their first defeat of 2024. Gustavus Adolphus posted one more hit than Wheaton today despite the defeat, but it left ten runners stranded on base, and this figure was key to the Thunder's narrow victory. Wheaton registered three doubles and a triple, while impressively limiting the Golden Gusties to just two hits further than first base. The Thunder earned 11 RBI to GAC's eight, while both squads stole one base, walked four batters, and hit a batter on the pitch five times. Down the stretch the Fighting Tigers outscored their hosts by a 9-1 tally highlighted by an eighth inning three-run inside-the-park home run from David Flora which put the game out of reach and finalized the margin of victory. Samuel Gutierrez led the Orange & Black's offensive attack going 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, a stolen base, five runs scored and five RBI with David Flora going 2-for-5 with a home, a walk, two stolen bases, run three runs scored and three RBI.

It was an admirable and much-needed response from Otterbein on the baseball diamond Tuesday afternoon, where the Cardinals overcame a rough first inning to eventually overtake Alvernia and win 9-6 at Terry Park. The Cards, back in varsity action following a disappointing Sunday up in Port Charlotte, face a 5-0 deficit in the opening frame but slowly worked themselves back in a sport that has no game clock. Otterbein nearly took the lead in the fifth on a smack down the right-field line from Gavin Thompson, as Jamie Perebzak was going to easily score but was brought back to third after it was deemed a ground-rule double entering the Alvernia bullpen. But have no fear, as the Cardinals enjoyed a four-course meal in the sixth to vault ahead for good. The two-out rally began with Noah Sprowls getting around for an RBI through the left side, and was punctuated on extra-base knocks from Jamie Perebzak and Brayden Quincel. That support was more than sufficient for sophomore reliever Sam Sethna, who allowed just one run over the last four innings earn a W as the pitcher of record. He sat down four Gray Wolves and walked none.

WPI made it a 4-0 start to the 2024 season with a 19-2 victory over Cairn on Tuesday afternoon at the Myrtle Beach Tournament. The loss dips the Highlanders to 2-3 on the young season. won the previous five games in the all-time matchup.

Wilkes finished off their rain-postponed doubleheader against Penn State Behrend on Tuesday morning at the Lawnwood Baseball Complex, defeating the Lions 4-0 in seven innings to split the two-game series. The game resumed play in the top of the second inning with the bases loaded and one out for Wilkes, who held a 3-0 lead. Colonels' pitcher Zachary Lloyd picked up right where he left off on Sunday, frustrating the Lions' bats with soft contact. After seeing Valley Forge overcome a big early deficit and take a one-run lead, Geneva rallied late, using an RBI-double from sophomore Kirk Bearjar and great relief pitching from junior Zach Lemansky to secure an 8-7 victory over the Patriots. Geneva improved to 2-1 with the win. Valley Forge added two more runs to take its first lead of the game, 7-6, capping off six straight runs for the Patriots. Zach Lemansky came in from the bullpen midway through the inning and prevented further damage, and it was his work in relief that was key to the Geneva win. The Geneva offense rewarded him with a win when Bearjar's RBI-double in the eighth proved the deciding run. Lemansky finished off the win with a strikeout, 8-7.
