Muhlenberg made history in its 24-7 home win against Penn State Berks. The Mules (5-9) drew 25 walks, not only shattering the school record of 16 set way back in 1968, but also breaking the Division III mark of 24 set by Washington University against Principia in 1997. Only three other NCAA teams have drawn 25 walks in a game, all from Division I: William & Mary in 2000, Mercer in 1985 and Miami (Fla.) in 1982. Fifteen different players contributed to the record by drawing bases on balls. The first five batters of the game walked, and eight of 12 batters took a free pass in the first inning, when Muhlenberg scored six runs on just one hit. Six more batters walked in the second, helping the Mules to another six-run frame. Freshman Frank Kern was the beneficiary of the offensive outburst, earning his first career win in his first career start. He allowed only three hits and a run in four innings.

The Etta Express improves to 8-8 on the season, while Kenyon falls to 12-4 overall. Marietta committed an uncharacteristic four errors that resulted in five unearned runs as Kenyon built a 6-0 lead through five innings. While the Owl offense was taking advantage of Marietta's miscues, Kenyon starting pitcher Theo Canning was frustrating the Etta Express hitters. Canning, aided by three double plays, faced the minimum number of batters through the first five innings. He blanked the Pioneers for six innings before allowing a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh.

John Bessette drew a leadoff walk with the tying run Thomas LaSpada getting hit by a pitch on the next at bat to put runners on first and second with nobody out. Robison Guerrero Baez followed with a perfectly placed bunt that snuck past the pitcher out towards second base where he was able to beat out the throw, loading the bases. With one out and the bases still full, Neidel delivered in a two-strike count by belting a fly ball out to deep right field, tailing towards the wall and deep enough for Sam Palmer to score the game-winning run, wheeling all the way around the diamond from first base to secure the victory.

After tossing a 1-2-3 frame in the fourth, Reistetter helped his own cause in the fifth by starting things with a one-out single. The same was true for Panthers starter Tyler Smith who was only permitted to go through the lineup once on a bullpen day for Ferrum, allowing two hits and a walk across 2.0 scoreless frames. Thus, the decisions came down to the bullpens and it was Ty Clark who grabbed his first win of the season to improve to 1-2. Chase Wade locked down the Quakers' first save of the season, registering the final four outs.

Alex Sorenti-Burns had his second round tripper of the day to get the eighth going. Three batters and one walk later, Joe Norris had a goner of his own to stretch the distance to 15-12 Suffolk. The Engineers kept things interesting as they chipped the margin back to two with one run in the bottom of the eighth. It appeared that the Rams did not insurance as Patrick Desmond quickly secured the first two outs with a pair of punchouts, one looking and one swinging.
