Minneapolis, MN – North Central University (NCU) Athletics is thrilled to announce the hiring of Adam Hill as its new head coach for NCU Baseball. Hill gets promoted to head coach after spending the last two seasons as an assistant for the Rams. He will begin his new role with North Central on Wednesday, June 5th.

Prior to serving as an NCU assistant coach for the past two seasons, Hill spent nine years coaching at Legacy Christian Academy in Andover, MN. While he was at Legacy, Hill was head baseball coach for 7 years (2 years as an assistant) and also coached boys and girls basketball. During his time as head coach, he led Legacy Christian to two conference championships, two Section 4A titles, and placed in the Class A state tournament twice (Runner-Up in 2017 and Consolation Champs in 2016). Coach Hill was named Section 4A Coach of the Year twice during his coaching career at Legacy. His high school career coaching record is 82-51, with a winning percentage of .616.

"Adam is exactly the type of person we want in our athletic department," stated Interim Athletic Director, Jeremy Becker. "He is going to help our baseball players compete on the field while also helping them grow in all phases of their life. He is going to be someone who lives out our goal to Cultivate Christ Centered Champions on a daily basis. The baseball program ended the season with some great momentum, and I am excited to see how the program can continue to grow."

Coach Hill had this to say, "I am really excited to become the head baseball coach at North Central University. Over the last few seasons, we have begun building a culture that I think I can continue to grow and cultivate both on and off the field. It has been a dream/goal of mine to coach full-time at the collegiate level for many years, so I would like to thank Jeremy Becker, Lydia Warner, and Desiree Libengood for the opportunity."

"I would also like to thank my wife Kaia for standing by my side and allowing me to become the coach I am today. Being a coach's wife isn't easy, and she does it better than anyone! I couldn't do this job without her many sacrifices, including her coaching career being put on pause. Devin Lehnhoff and Matt Farland, thanks for giving me a chance to start coaching here at NCU. And shoutout to the NCU Admissions team. Working in the admissions office the last two years while coaching baseball was a lot of work but it was so much fun. You guys are the best!"

"I'm ready to get to work," says Coach Hill.
