Making a major statement in NCAA Division III baseball, No. 5 East Texas Baptist pitchers combined for a no-hitter upsetting reigning national champions No. 6 Lynchburg, 5-0. These two teams met last year in the NCAA National Championship Tournament where Lynchburg won both meetings. With the win, ETBU is now 2-2 on the year. Sayers Collins and Robert Croft combined for the no-hitter with eight strikeouts. It is the first no-hitter known in over 20 years for ETBU baseball. Collins went seven innings with seven strikeouts facing 21 batters and walking two. He retired 16 straight batters going 1-2-3 in the second through sixth inning and the first batter in the seventh inning. Croft came in for the final two innings and retired the side with one strikeout.

Graduate Wil Wood recorded the Majors' first no-hitter since 2014 when Nathan Harrel and James Perkins combined for a no-hit game. Wood tossed a career-high 16 strikeouts in only seven innings. The Memphis, Tenn., native faced 22 batters in the 1-0 victory over Westminster on Friday February 23rd. Wood recorded a strikeout in every frame struck out the Westminster side in the second, third and sixth innings. Millsaps claimed the 1-0 triumph in Game Two on Friday.

The Colby College Mules swept the Brandeis Judges in their Saturday Doubleheader at Coombs Field. The Mules (4-2) beat the Judges (4-6) 9-0 in the first game and 13-3 in the second. Colby improved their record against Brandeis to 6-1 all-time. In game one, Nicholas Thompson no-hit the Judges, going seven innings and only allowing three runners. With five strikeouts, this is Thompson's first no-hitter of his career.

Powered by two complete-game shutouts from starting pitchers Ryan Qualey and Adam Maher, including a career-high 14-strikeout, no-hitter from Maher, UMass Dartmouth swept Southern Maine by a score of 5-0 in both contests. With his performance in game two, Maher became the only pitcher in DIII baseball to throw a 9-inning no hitter this season. It marks his second-career no-hitter with the Corsairs, with his first coming against Colby in 2023. In the nightcap against the Huskies, Maher was outstanding. He struck out a career-high 14 batters of the 30 he faced. Maher allowed no hits and walked three, helping the Corsairs take a 5-0 win to finish the sweep over Southern Maine. The Corsairs took a 3-0 lead after five innings, with Maher having retired 15 consecutive batters to start the game.

The University of Dubuque opened American Rivers Conference play on Saturday and won the doubleheader over the Luther College Norse by 7-0 in game one and 11-4 in game two.Highlighting the afternoon was the Spartans Johnny Blake who tossed a complete nine inning game no-hitter en route to a dominating 7-0 victory. He joins Roger Wicklund (vs. Rockford 4/13/66) and Chris Franks (vs. Wartburg in 1984) as the schools trio of no hitters in the record book. Blake shut down the Luther Norse and allowed no runs on no hits after facing 28 batters. He struck out 10 batters and allowed a lone walk in the bottom of the fourth. He improved to 3-0 this season.

Elizabethtown College recorded its first no-hitter since 2007 on Friday in a 12-1 win over Susquehanna. Greg Zerbe earned his third win of the season with no hits, seven walks and three strikeouts in 4.0 innings. He allowed an unearned run in the first inning. Maximus Polun (2 IP, 2 K) and Justin Marraccini (1 IP, 1 K) pitched the final three innings. The no-hitter was the first for the program since not allowing a hit to Juniata on April 14, 2007.

Powered by two stellar performances from starting pitchers Ryan Qualey and Adam Maher, including the first career no-hitter for Qualey in a 13-1 win in game one. The Corsairs swept Western Connecticut with a 13-1 victory in game one and 15-3 win in game two, both in 7.0 innings. With his performance in game one, Qualey's no-hitter marks the second of the season for the Corsairs, coming just 16 days after Maher's no-hitter against Southern Maine (3/22). The senior hurler went the full 7.0 innings, allowing just one run and no hits with six strikeouts. After allowing a run in the first inning, Qualey (2-2) was near-perfect the rest of the way. He responded by putting away the next 15 consecutive batters to retire the side for each of the second through sixth innings.

With Nathan Furino (4-0) tossing the 14th no-hitter in program history, facing only four hitters over the minimum in posting his first career complete game and leading his team to a 6-0 Little East Conference victory over Western Connecticut State University at the Eastern Baseball Stadium. Furino needed only 103 pitches to secure the clean slate. He struck out nine, walked one and hit the aforementioned two batters, allowing only four balls out of the infield. After hitting two batters and allowing a sacrifice bunt in the first, Furino retired 18 straight (beginning with the final out of the first inning) before walking Thomas Keough with two out in the seventh. Furino fanned the side in the eighth and got an infield pop and two ground balls to end the game in the ninth. Furino completed the game by getting No. 3 hitter Nicholas Moeller on a ground ball to junior transfer third baseman Nick Montagna (Carmel, NY) on a 1-2 pitch. Along with the no-hitter, Furino extended his consecutive inning streak without allowed an earned run to 29 1/3, dating back to March 14 against Johnson & Wales University.

Cairn Baseball team hosted the Penn State-Abington Nittany Lions of the United East Volt Division on Wednesday, taking game one by a narrow margin of 5-4 and locking it down on defense with a 1-0 no-hitter in game two.The nightcap was a show for junior righty Ronaldinho Alcin who threw 7 innings of no-hit baseball, striking out 11 with no runs. Alcin's no-hitter is the first seven inning no-no since former pitcher Joey Nieves-Markee ('16) pitched a 14-1 no-hitter against Valley Forge on April 9, 2013, although former pitchers Eric Stinglen ('20) and Matthew Myers ('20) combined for a 5 inning darkness-shortened 13-0 no-hitter on March 2, 2017 against Valley Forge.
