After suffering a 3-1 game one loss at Heidelberg College Friday, Westminster College bounced back with a 3-1 victory in game two to split the set at Peaceful Valley. Westminster snapped a five-game losing streak with Friday's game two win, improving to 5-7 overall. Heidelberg is currently 5-8. Sam Schneider, Heidelberg's leadoff man, singled in the second and scored Kyle Krummen, who drew a two-out walk and stole second to get into scoring position. In the fifth, after his two-out single and advancing to second on an error, Kelly scored on another Student Princes' error a batter later to tie the game 1-1. Andrew Pokley's RBI single in the bottom of the frame scored Schneider and gave Heidelberg a 2-1 lead. Garrett LaBeau led off the seventh with a home run to close out the scoring. It was his first of the year. Sophomore right-hander Tyson Djakovich ripped off his third-straight win this season, allowing one run (earned) on four hits with a career-high eight strikeouts in 6.0 innings. Friday's start was his first without issuing a walk. Graduate right-hander Kolton Banfi earned the three-inning save in game two, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out a pair. It was his fourth career save.
Zeke Swartz had a masterful performance on Friday pitching 8.0 innings of scoreless work to defeat #25 Emory 1-0 at Loudermilk Field. Swartz posted a career-high 13 strikeouts as he dismantled the Emory offense that was averaging over 9.5 runs per game. A Cole Ellis double was the first hit of the game with just a combined five total hits. Ellis' double to lead off the second did not produce a run but did contribute to Piedmont leaving the bases loaded after a pair of walks. It was one inning later that Piedmont would break the scoreless tie as Trace Cate had a leadoff home run in the third inning. An error in the fourth allowed the first baserunner for the Eagles, but a ground rule double in the sixth proved to be the first hit for Emory. The two hits for Emory came back-to-back in that frame as Swartz locked down and Jackson Randolph finished the job in the ninth. After a hit by pitch to start the inning, a double play helped Randolph out of the jam and in fitting fashion, the final out of the game was a strikeout giving the Piedmont staff 14 in the game.
Penn State Abington split a non-conference doubleheader against St. Joseph's College of Maine on Friday on the final day of the team's Florida trip at the RussMatt Baseball Invitational. The Nittany Lions took the opener by the score of 7-4, while the Monks were victorious in game two, 10-1. A five-run seventh inning turned out to be the difference in the game. Abington trailed 3-2 entering the final frame and by inning's end held a 7-3 advantage. Abington scored the secord game's first run in the bottom of the fourth but the Nittany Lions' lead was short-lived. St. Joseph's followed with a six-run fifth inning to take a 6-1 lead heading into the latter innings. Dawson Gundlah highlighted the inning with a three-run double. The Monks added three more runs in the sixth and another in the seventh to cap the scoring. Today marked the second and third match-ups between Abington and St. Joseph's with the first coming back in 2022. The Nittany Lions are now 1-2 versus the Monks in the all-time series.
Down to the team's final strike and down a run in the bottom of the 11th inning, Case Western Reserve graduate student third baseman Zack Carinci connected on a game-winning two-run home run to lift the Spartans to a 12-11 win over Wittenberg University in the team's first game at the Marietta/ BSN Sports Invitational in Marietta, Ohio on Friday afternoon. The victory extended the team's winning streak to six games as the Spartans improved to 9-4 overall. The Tigers dropped to 7-4 with the loss. The Spartans fell behind by a run in the top of the 11th and making the first two outs in the bottom of the frame, senior left fielder Logan Andreyko singled to right field on the first pitch of his at-bat to extend the game and bring Carinci to the plate. Carinci fell behind in the count 1-2 before taking a ball and then launching the 2-2 pitch over the wall in left field to win the game for the Spartans. It was the first home run of the season for Carinci, who finished the game one-for-two at the plate with two runs and two RBIs after entering the contest as a defensive replacement in the top of the seventh. Andreyko added a four-for-five performance with a double, a triple, two runs, and two RBIs. Senior right fielder Nick Harms went three-for-four and was a double shy of the cycle with two runs, an RBI, and two walks.
No. 3-ranked Johns Hopkins (11-0) faced Mount Union (4-5) in its second game of their spring break, Friday morning, defeating the Purple Raiders 5-2. Drew Grumbles pitched a gem, moving to 3-0 on the season, recording a season-high 11 strikeouts over 6.0 innings of work, surrendering three hits and two runs – both unearned. The matchup was a pitcher's duel heading into the fifth inning, before Caleb Cyr set the tide in the Jays favor that ened with a 2-0 lead. Shawn Steuerer, with his first pitch in the sixth inning, mashed a home run to left field, extending the Blue Jay lead to four and his hit streak to six games. The Purple Raiders returned the favor in the bottom-half, with a 2-out, 2-run home run from Jaired Lehman, cutting Hopkins' lead in half (4-2). Mount Union threatened again in the seventh, loading the bases with one out. Tyler Sugrim played hero, retiring the next two batters, allowing Hopkins to escape danger. Alex Shane added an insurance run in the top of the eighth via a Cyr sacrifice fly to left field, before Sugrim shut the Purple Raider offense down over the final two innings, earning the save (1) and securing the victory for Hopkins.
A seven-run top of the eighth coupled with escaping a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the bottom of the ninth pushed Arcadia University to a 10-8 win in its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opener at No. 15 Misericordia on Friday afternoon. Misericordia and Arcadia swapped leads until the seventh where the Knights held a 10-7 lead. Misericordia cut into the deficit with a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth. After a quiet top of the ninth, the Cougars loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the inning but a foul pop-out to the catcher and a called strike three sent the Knights out of the dugout to celebrate. Jeremy Coccia earned his first collegiate win with a scoreless inning of relief. Mitchell Bramsway earned his third save of the year with a scoreless ninth.
Taking an old adage of the ballpark's namesake to heart, ninth-ranked Salisbury University declared "it ain't over till it's over" and rallied from a two-run ninth-inning deficit to stun the 13th-ranked Penn State Harrisburg Lions 6-5 on Friday afternoon at Yogi Berra Stadium. Down 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth with two out and nobody on, Danny Sheeler kept the Sea Gulls alive with a two-out walk. Dylan Winebrenner followed with his own free pass and was pinch-run for by Mickey Haynes, then Noah Burroughs tagged an RBI single into left to score Sheeler and make it 5-4. After a Lions pitching change, Andrew Kell walked to load the bases. That brought up Jackson Inman, who ripped a base hit into center, scoring Haynes with the tying run and Burroughs with the winning tally, setting off a moment of revelry in the Garden State.
Carter Bennett was 2-for-4 with two RBI and Parker McGraw threw 4.1 innings of shutout relief to get the win, as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps opened up the Tucson Invitational Games with a 5-2 win over Carthage on Friday. With the win, CMS moves to 11-3 on the season, while Carthage falls to 8-4. Bennett got CMS on the board in the third with an RBI single, before Bryce Didrickson plated another one with a bases loaded hit by pitch. Alex Henderson singled and stole second in the fourth and came home on an RBI single from Nate Seluga, and Bennett added his second RBI of the day to make it 5-0. Carthage got two runs back in the fifth, but McGraw came on in relief to end the inning with a strikeout, and then didn't allow a runner past first base the rest of the way, allowing just two singles and two hit by pitches, while the Stags turned two double plays behind him.
Washington & Jefferson College bested the Saint Joseph (Conn.) Blue Jays by a score of 5-1 in Winter Haven, Fla. The Presidents picked up their seventh total victory of the season boasting a 7-3 record on the year. W&J flies back to Western Pennsylvania after a 5-1 performance during the Spring Break RussMatt Invitational. Leading the way for the Presidents offensively was Jacob LaDuca who produced another multi-hit performance. LaDuca compiled two hits on the day with a triple and single with two walks and two steals. Drew Garth, Josh Dezenzo, Knox Meier and Brian Feldman. Ethan Marszalek dealt in his second outing of the Spring Break trip. Marszalek shoved in 7.0 innings of work, fanning nine Blue Jay batters. Reliever Brandon Bastian picked up his second save of the season in the final 2.0 innings.
Brockport opened their Florida trip with an 8-1 win over Immaculata on Friday, March 14th. The Golden Eagles improved to 8-0 following the win. Zach Eldred got the party started in the third inning, launching a no-doubter into right field for a two-run blast to put Brockport ahead 2-0. Starting pitching would dominate until the top of the seventh when Brockport would expand its lead. The Golden Eagles would smack back-to-back homers, first with Kyle Blake roping a two-run blast before Matthew Coon's solo home run put Brockport up 6-0. Troy Leibert would shut the door for Brockport, pitching a hitless ninth inning with a punchout. Anthony Lapine (W, 3-0) continued his excellent start, tossing 6.2 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and just two hits allowed. In 15.2 innings of work, Lapine has allowed just six hits with 16 strikeouts and zero runs allowed
Jason Morgan went 4-for-6 and Chris Serrano and Phil Sedalis had three hits each as #17 Rowan held off previously-unbeaten UMass Boston, 17-11, at the RussMatt Invitational at Lake Myrtle Park. Tyler Cannon picked up one hit to give him 230 for his career, tying the Rowan record for career hits held by Alex Kokos. Morgan had two doubles and drove in three runs while scoring two. Serrano was 3-for-4 with two runs and a career-high four RBI, while Sedalis went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI for Rowan (6-1). Marco Mannino had three RBI on the day, as he had two hits, including a double. The Profs seem to have things in control, building up a 12-0 lead through four innings, as Steven Maiers shut down UMass Boston (7-1), holding the Beacons without a hit in those four at-bats. Maiers (2-0) picked up the victory as he went 5.0 innings and struck out five.
LaGrange College (11-7) capped off their spring break with an emphatic doubleheader win, overwhelming the Eagles of Asbury University (3-9) by respective final scores of 25-13 and 31-16 at Zweifel Baseball Field. The series sweep marked LC's fourth in a row to open conference play since 2022. The back-and-forth affair in game one continued well into the fifth, as the Panthers played keep away from the Eagles, who were able to stay within striking distance of a LaGrange squad who remained on top 11-10 after four innings of ball. LC turned the heat up several notches from that point on, scorching the AU relief pitching to take a suffocating 25-10 lead with only a few innings left in the contest. Try as they might, the Eagles could only muster three runs as the Panthers held on to take game one 25-13. The second game was all-LaGrange as Tray Owens and Fletcher Hislop combined for 11 runs. LC came out swinging with a 12-run burst as they led 12-2 heading into the third inning. The Eagle bats woke up a bit, notching six runs of their own to try and cut down the LaGrange lead. With the run-rule looming in the bottom of the seventh, Asbury did all they could to stave off the fiery visitors who could smell a fourth-consecutive, conference-opening series sweep on the horizon. Ultimately, the Panthers were able to force the game's conclusion as they went on to win emphatically 31-16 to start conference play off with a bang.
Nigel Cross hurled a complete-game shutout, which included matching a career high with eight strikeouts, and Josh Turcotte went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI asWentworth Institute of Technology defeated Vermont State University – Lyndon, 8-0, in their first ever matchup at Libby Field. The Hornets threatened in the top of the sixth but Cross stranded runners at first and second. In the seventh inning, Nick Tiani led off with a single and went to second after a one-out single by Dayton. An infield hit by Christian Roncal loaded the bases and Jake Samela drove in Tiani with a sacrifice fly.
Bowdoin edged Penn State Altoona 4-3 in the opening contest, before triumphing 9-1 in the nightcap. With the pair of wins, the Polar Bears improve to 8-0. In game one a double by Will Bordes in the top of the third drove in Conor Moriarty for the 1-0 edge. The Bordes-Moriarty duo struck again in the fifth and Bowdoin increased its advantage to 4-0 in the top of the sixth. The Lions nearly stole the game back in the bottom of the seventh. A single through the right side by Brian Chelli plated an unearned run from Tyreke Green, before Chelli scored himself later in the inning. The Polar Bears ended the run with a double play to secure the 4-3 win. Alastair Rose secured the triumph on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings of work. in game two, Altoona jumped out to a 1-0 edge only to see the Polar Bears score in the bottom of the fifth to give Bowdoin a 3-1 edge. The Polar Bears exploded for six runs on four hits in the sixth to ease to the 9-1 victory.
Marietta College scored three runs in the first inning and then held on for a 4-1 win over Ithaca College Friday evening in the BSN Sports Invitational at Pioneer Park. The Pioneers improve to 8-4 overall, while Ithaca falls to 6-6 on the season. The Pioneer offense staked starting pitcher to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and that was all the run support Austin Ziance would need. Ziance (3-1) scattered three hits and allowed just one run in 7.0 innings. He walked two and struck out 10. Cooper Fiehrer recorded his third save of the season with 2.0 innings of shutout relief. He walked two and struck out three.
The St. Thomas (Texas) Celts put on an offensive showcase Friday evening, defeating Austin College 14-4 in a run-rule victory at Baker Field. The win improves the Celts to 7-6 overall and 4-3 in SCAC conference play. The Celts got off to a fast start in the top of the first inning when Dillon McKee launched a two-run home run to right field, driving in Alex Trinh to give St. Thomas an early 2-0 lead. Austin College responded with a run in the bottom of the first and another in the second to tie the game at 2-2. St. Thomas regained the lead in the top of the fourth when Gabe Garner crushed a solo home run to left field, making it 3-2. The game remained tight until the top of the sixth inning, when the Celts' offense erupted for seven runs to break the game open. Austin College managed to score two runs in the bottom of the sixth, but the Celts responded with four more runs in the top of the seventh to seal the victory. Tyler Mills singled through the left side, driving in Sam Lampson, and Jarod Smith drew a bases-loaded walk to score Ryan Ratajczak. Alex Trinh added a sacrifice fly, and Dylan Lamb singled to first base, driving in Tyler Mills to make it 14-4.
Adrian College traveled to Denison University to kick off a weekend tournament and stunned the No. 6 ranked team in the country, rolling to a 13-3 victory over the Big Red. Adrian jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Nic Bruder and a fielder's choice RBI by David Kedrow. In the third inning, Ryan Davis delivered a 2-RBI single to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 4-0. The Bulldogs kept their momentum going, adding four more runs in the fourth inning. Kedrow hit a sacrifice fly, and Easton Rogers followed with a 3-run homer, pushing Adrian's lead to 8-0. By the sixth inning, Adrian extended its lead to 10-0. Davis reached on a fielder's choice to drive in another run, while Kedrow later scored on an error by the Denison pitcher. Denison managed to get on the scoreboard in the seventh, plating two runs, but Adrian answered back with three more. Davis hit a sacrifice fly, Jack Boike added an RBI single, and another run crossed the plate on a fielder's choice by Rolando Jimenez. Denison added a third run in the eighth, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs cruised to a 13-3 victory over the No. 6-ranked Big Red. Six different Bulldogs recorded two hits apiece in the game. In other tournament games Baldwin Wallace crushed North Central (Ill.) 19-2.
First baseman Cade Seabaugh and center fielder Corbin Bennetts packed a punch for Hope College. The two propelled the Flying Dutchmen to a 5-4 victory against 12-win Rhodes College in the RussMatt Invitational spring break opener on Friday in Citrus Ridge, Florida. Reliever Ian Sanders saved the game by retiring the final two batters, including a one-out pickoff at second base. Seabaugh went 4-for-4 with three RBIs. The junior cleanup batter knocked in Hope's first three runs with a two-run double in the top of the third and an RBI single in the fifth. Bennetts blasted a tie-breaking, two-run homer in the seventh. It was the freshman's first collegiate home run.
Mitchell College scored eight runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on Friday afternoon, powering past the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 10-3, while picking up their first win at the Russmatt Invitational in non-conference action at Northeast Regional Park. Freshman Ryan Dennis and sophomores Chase Donahue and Luis Collazo had two hits apiece for the Mariners. One of Collazo's two hits was an RBI double, while junior Kenneth Miller Jr. and senior Michael Gajda each ripped two-run doubles during the explosive eighth inning. Making his fourth start of the season, Eddie Kaftan twirled seven innings of three-hit ball, allowing three runs (two earned) and a pair of walks, while striking out 11. Sophomore Ethan Chavez came out of the bullpen to relieve Kaftan to begin the eighth and picked up the first win of his Mitchell career, tossing two shutout innings. Earlier in the day, MSOE upset Babson 8-0. Kellen Pate took the mound for the Red and White, pitching lights out across seven innings of action while racking up seven strikeouts and allowing just four hits against the #19 team in the country. Eric Williamson would close out the game for the Red and White, as the hard-throwing right hander forced the final six outs to secure a big upset-win for the Raiders.
Haverford College (7-3) continued its torrid offensive stretch at the Gene Cusic Classic, dismantling Hiram (3-5) in an 18-1 rout at Terry Park on Friday. The victory marked the Fords' sixth consecutive game with double-digit runs, cementing their dominance at the plate to begin the season. Haverford's lineup overwhelmed Hiram pitching from the outset, with the top five hitters in the order delivering multi-hit performances. Jack Wallis led the charge, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI, while Harry Genth continued his scorching form in Southwest Florida, adding two hits and four RBI. Matt Dahl stayed red-hot with a three-hit game, and Anthony Runfola also chipped in three hits and three RBI. Riley Grohowski turned in another strong outing, allowing just one earned run on six hits across six innings while striking out four. The bullpen was lights-out, as Ethan Goldstein fanned all four batters he faced in relief, including the rare immaculate inning in the seventh, retiring the side on nine pitches, while Colin Lewandowski, Jack Greff, and Jory Lee each made their season debuts to close out the contest.
Cortland took an 8-0 lead after six and a half innings and held off a late Trinity University comeback as the nationally 24th-ranked Red Dragons defeated the seventh-ranked Tigers, 8-5, at Trinity. Luis Misla earned the win with six shutout innings on the mound. He allowed just five hits with no walks and struck out eight batters. Ryan Banks, Cortland's third reliever, entered in the eighth after Trinity had scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh. He retired all six batters he faced, one by strikeout, to earn his first save of the season. Dylan Tierney went 2-for-3 with a double, walk and RBI and Nolan Smith finished 2-for-6 with two RBI for the Red Dragons. Chris Bonacci had a single, walk, RBI and two runs scored and Lucas Granger walked three times and had an RBI.
It was a tale of two games in the Cobbers' first doubleheader in Minnesota. The Cobbers used 17-run, 13-hit offensive attack in Game1 to post a 17-4 victory against North Central and then got a 7-inning, 2-hit shutout performance from pitchers Ben Trutwin, J Riley Ohm, Wyatt Mohr and Ethan Beyer to collect a 5-0 win in the second game against the Rams. The Cobbers actually trailed 2-0 after the first inning and then 3-0 heading into the bottom of the second before they unleashed four crooked number innings en route to the 13-run win. The Cobbers never trailed in the finale, but the game was in the balance until sixth. The key point of the game came in the bottom of the third with the Cobbers holding a 1-0 lead. North Central loaded the bases with one out, but then Trutwin was able to get the ever-popular 6-4-3 double play ground ball to get out of the inning with CC's 1-run lead intact. Talan Plante came through with the "feel good" moment of the day. Playing in his first college game, he deposited a 2-out pitch over the center-field fence for his first collegiate hit and first extra-base hit.
WPI used two late rallies to sweep a doubleheader against Hilbert on Friday afternoon at Ebbets Field in both teams' Myrtle Beach finales. The wins improve the Engineers to 6-3 on the season, while the Hawks fall to 5-6. WPI used a four-run eighth inning in the opener to power past Hilbert, 6-4. Jonathan Lattimer led the Engineers, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. WPI's offense erupted for 16 hits in game 2, but the Engineers needed a late rally to seal the 10-6 win. The Engineers were led by Chuck Cappello, who went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a double. Matt Shea added three hits, an RBI, and two runs, while Pratt contributed two hits, an RBI, and two runs scored. Burns chipped in with three hits and an RBI.
What a day to be a Cardinal! Saint Mary's (5-7) clinched a thrilling home opener and completed a sweep over UW-Eau Claire (3-4). The Cardinals won game one 5-4, then sealed the victory with a walk-off in the 10th inning, finishing 4-3 in game two. Addison Hochevar got his first win as a pitcher this season pitching six innings with five strikeouts and allowing just four hits. Daniel Sherman contributed offensively with two doubles and two runs scored to lead the team. Connor Tulley recorded his first career save on the mound. The Cardinals started game two strong But the score afer nine remained tied at 3-3. A Cardinals single allowed a runner to advance to second on a sacrifice bunt. Hanneman then singled to right field, bringing Schulte home for the winning run. The walk off secured a 4-3 victory for the Cardinals, concluding the game with the Cardinals totaling eight hits and four runs.
Junior Erik Sibbach delivered a dominant performance on the mound, tossing eight shutout innings as Stevens Institute of Technology blanked Lebanon Valley College 9-0 in their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom opener on Friday afternoon. Frank Tonina, Victor Schilleci, and Jack Reichlin each homered for the Ducks (4-7, 1-0 MAC Freedom), while Jacob Detwiler took the loss for the Dutchmen (4-9, 0-1 MAC Freedom). Sibbach retired the side in order in the seventh before the Ducks broke the game open. Liam DeRubertis led off the frame with a double, and Reichlin crushed a 0-1 pitch over the right-center fence for a two-run blast, making it 6-0. In the eighth, Tonina singled and advanced to third on a wild pitch and a Ching base hit. Ching stole second, and a throwing error allowed Tonina to score. After DeRubertis walked and stole second, Reichlin reached on an infield single, driving in two more runs with heads-up baserunning. Jonah Swarts took over for Sibbach in the ninth and needed just six pitches to retire the Dutchmen in order, sealing the Ducks' shutout victory.
Cam Jerrett finished the day with four hits while four other players each had two apiece as Clarkson University opened their Florida trip with an 8-5 win over Ohio Wesleyan University in the morning while being outlasted in the afternoon matchup with UMass-Dartmouth, 9-2. Ohio Wesleyan got on the board first but the lead wouldn't last long however as a two-run blast from Cam Jerrett to left field in the top half of the third gave Clarkson their first lead of the contest, 2-1. The Battling Bishops had an instant response with a two-run blast of their own off the bat of Carter Vilevac pushing their lead back to a one-run advantage at 3-2. Clarkson evened the game up at 3 in the top of the fourth and nabbed the lead and tack on some insurance runs in the second-half of the game with two runs. A two-run inning top of the ninth pushed the lead to 8-3. The Battling Bishops managed to push two runs across in the bottom of the ninth and were knocking on the door with bases loaded and one out before Ryan Petrie managed to work his way out of the jam forcing a ground-ball, 4-6-3 double play to end the game. In the nightcap, the Corsairs would get on the board first but the game would be knotted at 2-2. UMass-Dartmouth would go on to score the next seven runs of the game with one run in the top of the sixth and six in the top of the ninth to put the game out of reach with the 9-2 final.
Olivet concluded its spring break trip by splitting two games with Geneva College at The Ripken Experience and on Griffith Field. Geneva won the first game, 5-4, before the Comets used a seven-run fourth to propel them to a 10-6 win in the nightcap. The Golden Tornadoes needed only one hit to score five runs in the second inning. The Comets got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh inning. The first three batters reached via throwing error, hit by pitch and walk. Junior Brody Parten then hit a grand slam home run. The next two Olivet batters struck out to end the game. For the game, both teams recorded just three hits. Sophomore Trevor Kunst was tagged with the pitching loss. He gave up five runs (one earned) on one hit over one and two-thirds innings. Freshman Teegan Glennon threw five and one-third innings of scoreless relief. He struck out five and allowed two hits. Geneva took a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the first inning. The Comets plated one run in the top of the second and exploded for seven runs in the fourth to take an 8-2 lead. The Golden Tornadoes answered with two runs in their half of the fourth. Olivet got one run back in the fifth to stretch its lead to 9-4. Geneva pushed across two runs in the sixth inning before the Comets ended the scoring with a run in the seventh. Olivet totaled nine hits. Parten and junior Mikey Kuzara each had two hits. Kuzara and senior Brendan Monroe tallied two RBI apiece. Senior Mason Cook scored three runs. Junior Bryan Carney earned the win in relief of freshman starter Jacob Wadsworth. Senior Wyatt Leland picked-up the save.
