Tony Rossi and Jaden Buechler also recorded hits, while the home side worked three walks and stole two bases. The River Hawks move to 15-18 on the year, 8-10 in Landmark play, which leaves them just a game out of the postseason picture.

After a lopsided loss at Macalester on Tuesday evening, the Northwestern (Minn.) was in desperate need of a get-right game. Common thought would not suggest that such a game would come against No. 25 Bethel. The unlikelihood was even further increased when UNW ended the seventh inning of Wednesday's tilt against Bethel with zero hits to its name, but rock-solid pitching and defense, plus some opportunistic ninth-inning plate appearances, gave the Eagles an improbable 3-2 win over the ranked Royals. After seven innings, the Eagles still did not have a hit but only trailed 2-0 thanks to more great defense and a good relief appearance from Charlie Hodge. The no-hitter was broken up in the bottom of the eighth inning and with the Royals' infield playing in, Ben Hixon hit a chopper left of the mound which was mishandled by the Bethel shortstop, allowing Eli Reeves to score the winning run. The 3-2 upset snapped the Royals' 15-game winning streak, which dated back to March 27th. Northwestern's pitching was the A-topic from the win. Noah Skarda went 5.1 innings and tallied a career-high five strikeouts while holding the Bethel lineup to just two earned runs. Beau Rabey (who earned the win) combined with two other pitchers to hold the Royals scoreless in relief.

First year Kyle Donlon earned his first collegiate victory with a scoreless eighth inning and struck out two. Luke Barrientos picked up his fourth save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning. For the Dolphins, Will Granata finished 3-for-5 with a run scored.

After St. Olaf (19-10, 10-4 MIAC) overcame a 3-0 deficit to send the game to extra innings, Pleimann dropped a single into center field to score junior Mason Buck to give the Oles a walk-off victory in game one. Macalester (11-20, 4-12 MIAC) got out to an 8-0 lead early on its way to a 12-7 win in game two to claim a split. The game-one victory was St. Olaf's 100th win in the all-time series with Macalester, which is the third-highest total for the Oles against any opponent. The Scots' game-two win snapped St. Olaf's seven-game winning streak in the series between the two programs.

Every spot in the lineup contributed to an offensive explosion on Wednesday afternoon as Christopher Newport scored 17 runs on 18 hits in a shutout victory at Eastern Mennonite (11-22). The Captains improved to 19-16 overall as 13 different players crossed the plate for CNU against the Royals. While the offense headlined the outing, an impressive pitching performance also highlighted the afternoon victory. Junior left-handed starter Ryan Morrison snagged his sixth win of the season, improving to 6-1, after tossing five shutout frames against the Royals. He struck out five before handing the ball off to junior Dylan Blazer. Making his first appearance of the season, Blazer worked a perfect sixth inning, 1-2-3, and gave way to Marcus Dux for the final inning. Dux also retired all three batters he faced, striking out one, as the trio combined for the second shutout of the season. CNU scored multiple runs in four of the first five innings, stacking up the lead with extra base hits up and down the order. Scott Crosson (3-3), Jake Benedict (2-3), Aaron Maxie (2-3), and Doc Daniels (2-3) led the offensive effort with multi-hit performances while Brayden Mazzoni delivered his first career home run and registered a game-high 3 RBI.

No. 5 Denison hosted the 23-8 Ohio Northern Polar Bears for a midweek OAC-NCAC crossover matchup. Between the two schools, Denison leads the all-time series with a record of 9-4 and currently holds a six-game win streak over ONU. The Big Red ultimately came out on top with a 3-2 victory. With the win, Denison moves to 27-5 as ONU drops to 23-9. Under the field lights at Big Red Field, two piping hot programs faced off in a Wednesday matchup. With both programs trying to keep their win streaks alive, the stakes were high for a midweek matchup. In the matchup last year, Denison was able to pull away in extra innings, winning in a 7-5 decision. Both bullpens used multiple arms in the 9-inning showcase. The ONU starter, Thombs, went 7.0 innings and struck out six. For Denison, Will Rettig got the start on the bump. Rettig went 4.2, followed by Michael Gray with 2.2 innings, and Jack Rollo with 1.2 innings. Together, the staff combined for 15 strikeouts and allowed just three hits. Rollo was credited with the win. The Polar Bears struck first, tacking on runs off of a wild pitch and an RBI triple in the second inning. It wasn't until the seventh inning that the Big Red would strike back. Max Fishbein crossed home following a wild pitch, and Jack Rollo drove in Jake Blozy. After a scoreless eighth inning, the Big Red found themselves down to their final out with runners on the corners. Senior Eric Colaco stepped into the box and roped a line drive into right field. Jake Blozy crossed home to secure the walkoff win for the Big Red.

La Roche scored seven unanswered runs from the bottom of the first inning through the bottom of the fourth. However, trailing 7-4, the No. 23 Mount Union Purple Raiders faced adversity and responded just as they have throughout the season. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Lehman hit a powerful solo home run, marking his third of the season. He finished the game with a 2-for-4 performance, earning two RBIs and a walk. Lehman continued his strong game by hitting an RBI double in the seventh inning. Sophomore outfielder Luke Ickes provided an offensive spark for Mount Union by hitting a two-RBI double to right center field. Senior first baseman Johnny Costella also contributed with an RBI double, while senior third baseman Chris Viamonte hit a two-RBI double to conclude the inning. In the eighth inning, the Purple Raiders continued their offensive surge, as Ickes and Viamonte both drew walks with RBI, along with senior shortstop Alex Stegman and graduate second baseman Andrew Witte, who also recorded RBI walks. Senior right-handed pitcher Chris Phillips pitched 1.2 innings, recording his 21st strikeout of the season and lowering his ERA to 2.15. St. Norbert College swept their third straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader, firing past Wisconsin Lutheran by scores of 16-5 and 11-5 at Neumann Family Field. The Green Knights (13-19, 7-11 NACC), who have won six of their last seven, gained multiple runs early in each contest and never trailed en route to the sweep. St. Norbert got off to an incredible start, scoring three runs in the first inning off five hits. Four of the five resulted in extra base hits, with a triple from Trevor Reinhardt scoring Devin Geary, while doubles from Dawson Schmidt (pictured) and Matt Perry each scored one run to make it 3-0. Reinhardt then hit his fifth home run in his last four games in the second, bolstering the St. Norbert lead to 5-1. The Warriors fought back and came within one run of the Green Knights lead in the third to make it 6-5, but 10 unanswered runs from St. Norbert in the following three innings shut down any chance of a Wisconsin Lutheran rally.
