Rain cancelled most of Saturday's action and those Saturday games will be played today. We started with the resumption of the second elimination game and finish with two winner bracket contests.

The D-III World Series was back underway as Whitworth and Christopher Newport resumed their contest with Whitworth leading 4-2 in the middle of the fifth inning. The Pirates brought their hot bats back and finished the game outscoring the Captains 3-0 to finish off the 7-2 victory.

Wheaton (Mass.) used a five run ninth to put the game out of reach and moved into the winners final with a 6-1 win over Cortland State.  The Lyons will play the winner of the St. Thomas-Marietta game and Cortland drops into the elimination round with a game against Whitworth.

St. Thomas and Marietta played a classic. St. Thomas built a 3-1 lead through eight innings and survived a Pioneer rally to advance to the winners bracket final with Wheaton with the 3-1 win.
