| Johns Hopkins is heading to the NCAA Division III super regionals as the Blue Jays won the Baltimore regional with a convincing 10-3 victory over TCNJ in the championship game on a warm Sunday afternoon. Cortland joined Misericordia with a super regional berth and were quickly joined by Washington and Jefferson and Johns Hopkins and others throughout the day. The Midwest Super-Regional will be without a team as Concordia-Chicago and Baldwin Wallace will need an extra day to determine the winner of their regional following a 14-13 win in the 10th by the Cougars. No. 19 Cortland advanced to the New York super regional with an 18-5 win over Tufts, ending the Jumbo's season. Isiah Hudson pitched into the seventh inning and earned the win, coming in relief of the Cortland starter in the first inning. Tufts grabbed an early two run lead with single tallies in the first and second. Following Colin BeVard's third inning home run, the Red Dragons plated eleven more over the middle four innings to put the game out of reach. Cortland will No. 7 Babson. The Beaver scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning on its way to defeating Trinity (Conn.), 10-3, in the championship game of the NCAA Tournament Hartford Regional. The Bantams forced the winner-take-all if necessary game with a 12-3 win over the Beavers earlier. With the win, Babson set a new single-season record for wins.
New England College had no chance but found what they needed from their fairy grandmother and became the Cinderella of the super regionals with a 7-6 win in 13 innings over No. 3 Southern Maine. The Huskies forced a winner-take all game earler in the day winning 16-4. The Pilgrims will face Mass-Boston. Led by Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament Nick Herzog, the Beacons raced out to a 4-0 lead in the third inning and led the rest of the way, despite several Lyons rallies. Herzog earned MOP honors after finishing the weekend 8-13 with seven runs, seven RBI and four extra-base hits. Herzog paced the offense in Sunday's championship game by going 3-4 with three runs scored, one RBI, one double and a key stolen base. On the mound, UMass Boston used three pitchers to hold off a Lyons offense that awakened on Saturday night. Freshman Dylan Fashempour earned the victory by limiting Wheaton to three hits, three earned runs and two walks over six innings. The righty tacked on three strikeouts.
Washington & Jefferson earned a hard-fought 6-5 victory over No. 11 Rowan to claim the Salisbury Regional Championship. The win advances the Presidents into next week's NCAA Division III Super-Regional round where they will face Misericordia University. The story of today's contest was W&J's perseverance, as the Presidents answered each of Rowan's scoring innings with one of their own. The top of the order did the most damage, going 6-16 with five runs scored and six RBIs.
A sixth-inning grand slam by Matt Psychas propelled Heidelberg to a 9-6 victory over host Adrian and into the Super-Regional round of the NCAA Tournament. "It's what we've done all year long," said Head Coach Chad Fitzgerald. "We play as hard as we can for as long as we can." Heidelberg will face the winner of the final game of the Wooster Regional between Case Western Reserve and Wooster in a best-of-three Super-Regional next weekend. The Student Princes are regional champions for the first time since 2010, which, under the old tournament format, sent the team to the Division III World Series. They will face Wooster. The Scots won twice against Case Western to earn a berth into the Mideast super regional. Wooster opend the day with a 8-7 win and finished off the Spartans 9-3.

No. 15 Birmingham-Southern will host the Central Super-Regional next weekend after defeating No. 14 LaGrange 14-6 in the winner-take-all regional series finale at Striplin Field. With the season on the line in game five of the NCAA Regional, Birmingham-Southern jumped out to an early 7-0 lead over LaGrange, scoring three runs in the second inning and four more runs in the top of the third. LaGrange pulled within two runs of BSC by scoring a run in the seventh and four more runs in the eighth, cutting the BSC lead to 8-6. but Birmingham-Southern crushed any hope of a LaGrange comeback in the top of the ninth inning, plating six runs to push the Panther lead to 15-6. Senior John Michael Shirley, normally BSC's No. 2 starter, closed out the game for BSC in his first relief appearance, getting a lineout and two strikeouts to clinch the NCAA Birmingham Regional championship. They will play Coe who was down to their final strike before Riley LeGrand belted a two-out, two-run, go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth inning to give he Kohawks a 4-3 win over Washington University. LeGrand's first collegiate home run could not have come at a more opportune time. Facing WashU's two-time UAA Pitcher of the Year, John Howard, LeGrand had the fate of Coe's season resting in the bat on his shoulder. Down 3-2 in the game and with a 3-2 count, he took the Howard offering and drilled it over the center field wall to send Coe players and fans from agony to ecstasy. The two-run blast gave Coe a 4-3 lead.
Webster will have to wait to see who and where they will play on Friday as Concordia-Chicago and Baldwin Wallace need an extra day to determine their regional champion. The Gorloks are one step closer to another appearance in the D-III World Series after an 11-2 win over North Central. Webster starting pitcher Matt Mulhearn earned his 12th win as he kept the potent North Central offense at bay while his offense scored early and often. Ben Swords led the Webster offense with a 4-for-5 day that included five RBIs. A second championship game was forced by North Central who used solid starting pitching and a relentless offense to give Webster their only loss in the regional by a score of 14-9.
In a winner-take-all game, Concordia Texas came from behind, scoring two runs in eighth and ninth innings as Casen Novak provided the game-winning hit, defeating Franklin 6-4 to win the Seguin Regional Championship on Sunday at Katt-Isbel Field and advance to the NCAA Super-Regionals. It is only the second time in program history, and first time since 2002 that the Tornados have advanced pass the regional round. After Matthew Williams tossed only the second no-hitter in school history on Saturday, CTX entered the day needing only one win over the Grizzlies. In the first game, Franklin would jump out to a 2-0 lead and never look back, winning it 13-4 to force a decisive winner-take-all regional championship game. They will face Chapman who won with a bit of drama out in southern California. The comeback kings did what they do best in the win-or-go-home final of the regional round of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. The Panthers came from behind with a ninth-inning walk-off sacrifice bunt to beat Whitman and earn a spot in the Super Regional round next weekend. Sophomore Mack Cheli led off in the bottom of the ninth and smacked a double down the right field line to put a runner in scoring position with no outs. With freshman Cooper Foard taking over to pinch run, senior captain Jarod Penniman stepped up to the plate. The four-year starter laid a bunt down the third base line to move Foard to third. Blues sophomore pitcher Travis Craven picked up the ball and turned to throw to third but put the ball in the dirt, sending it to the visitor bullpen. Foard jumped up and sprinted down the third base line, sliding into home to earn the walk-off victory and send Chapman sprinting onto the field in celebration.
